✦ delightfully morose - mc, recovering from a rough breakup, is on the road and without a place to stay. he finds a stellar deal while looking for cheap rentals - four bedroom, two bath, and a ridiculously low rent for what it is. by all means, it should be a scam; it's a beautiful mountainside home, with a scenic small town 20 or so miles away. there's a large mansion located just up a hill, but he doesn't deem it to be relevant. banking on the impossible, he makes the call, and is pleasantly surprised when everything seems to line up. he makes the move with nothing but his guitar and a bag of clothes.

it's only when after having settled in that he makes his first trip into town. much to his confusion, he's met with looks of pity and fear. wanting to figure out why, he asks a stranger in passing. as he comes to find out, there's a reason why the house was so cheap - according to the townsfolk, the family that lives on the top of the hill is one that made a deal with the devil.

i'm really looking for a horror comedy kinda vibe for this, similar to the addams family. the family itself should be very gothic in style, regardless of if they're actually supernatural or just regular humans. yc is the eldest son, so the details will be up to you. i'm open to playing the rest of the family, if desired. we can also divide the roles, or you can take the reins. just let me know what you're feeling!
