Connie, The Clockwork Naga
Created by Doctor Gregory Hurtzfield close to two decades ago and raised as his daughter. Connie is a mechanical naga, usually standing a little over five feet tall, though she's over a dozen feet from tip to tail if stretched out fully. While not quite as talented as her father in the mechanical sciences, she's a capable inventor with a brilliant mind. As a person, she's rather inexperienced socially, with all her interactions having been with her father present and ready to lend support.
About a month ago, her father left to do something important, and has not yet returned. So, Connie made the decision to try and find him, leaving her home laboratory in Madman's Cove and setting out on her own.
The world would be steampunk(ish) fantasy.

Sarah, Human Monk
Born to two parents who loved her but also had a half dozen other kids, Sarah was taken in by the local monastery. Nestled partway up a mountain, the Monastery Of The Stony Egg was lead by Dog, a tabaxi man with an interesting view on life and unparalleled martial skills. She learned she had a knack for fisticuffs, though her meditations were... Less than exemplary. Regardless of that, she mastered all the fighting techniques she was taught, but found herself at a wall.
Dog instructed her to venture into the world and find more experiences-she could only learn so much from the safety and routine of the monastery. And, coincidentally, there was a minor issue with some monstrous folk near her home village. A perfect chance for her to learn!
Of course, these monstrous folk are less about killing you and more along the lines of curvy monstergirls.
