Sam took one last gulp of water before the coach blew the whistle, moving to line up once again with the others, paying careful attention to every word that was said. She didn't question the group she was placed in, nor did she try to assert that she would be better than the veteran. She knew her place, she was new here and she had to earn respect and status, she had to prove herself to them all, and she was more than willing to work hard in order to do it. She grinned as she and her group moved to their own space, smiling to the other members, trying to show a friendly side aswell as a professional one.
Once they got going, Sam was immediately demonstrating just how good she was, correcting her stance when she needed to without question. She didn't get everything absolutely perfect, after all this was a whole new level for her, but she was still damned good and showing an eagerness to learn. There wasn't a hint of stubborness about doing things her own way or the old way, she did as she was told, most definately a team player. She was willing to adapt herself to the teams way of doing things, not expecting them to adapt to her.
When they were finally done, Sam was still barely showing signs of being tired unlike some of the others, stretching her legs slightly as Matt spoke, letting her muscles relax a little after the workout, though she still paid careful attention to what he was saying.
Once the team was dismissed, Sam got herself another drink of water, then went for the locker room, though she wasn't planning on taking a shower. The other boys were there, and there wasn't time before class to wait for them all to leave. Instead, she waited for the boys to have gone for the shower, then quickly removed her basketball jersey, spraying herself with a liberal helping of deodorant, then pulling on a shirt before anyone could see the straining straps wrapped around her chest. After that she was a little more relaxed at removing her shorts and pulling on her pants. So long as she had her back turned then nobody would notice the lack of a bulge between her legs. Even if they did, it could easily be dismissed as simply being rather small down there....
When Sam was ready, she grabbed her bag, heading back out to the court. "Hey Matt, you coming? Class will be starting soon. If you don't move your ass then you're gonna be late!" She grinned, rather proud of being able to talk like a boy so well.
