It is the first day of the summer term at Blue Ridge Community College. A perfect time for new and returning students to get registered for classes, meet up with old friends or make new ones. If you are new to BRCC, please be sure to refer to a Campus Map to get oriented.

It is a beautiful early summer day, excitement and anxiety, along with other emotions are all about. As are hormones of the young and not so young students, staff, and faculty.

Dr. Xavier Rollins

Dr. Rollins' was rarely seen socializing with students, not that he didn't, but he was very discreet about it. He especially enjoyed watching them squirm and this one looked like she could twist herself into a veritable pretzel for him if he could get her to quiet down long enough to take some instruction. Even her apologies were a ramble of words that seemed to race ahead of her brain.

Making her stand back up had stunned her a little but only gave a temporary reprieve from her chatter, but that was a start. He adored the way she looked everywhere but at time, giving him time to admire her physical form.

She spoke in spurts that tested his patience, he had the gist of her dilemma but needed her to stop talking and start listening.

Eventually he stood and walked up to her, eclipsing her with his bulk. He reached out with one hand and covered her mouth with his hand. Their contrasts couldn't be sharper. "First thing, I need you to think more and talk less. Do we understand each other?" He knew this would be a hard lesson for her, this wasn't a habit he would break easily. But if he could break one habit, he could also introduce another. He waited for her to nod in agreement before releasing her. He also knew this sort of physical contact would give the HR professionals the vapors but he had a feeling this wouldn't go beyond these walls with this one, at least not once he laid things out for her.

"Let's do a little math." He said, motioning her over to his white board that was largely cluttered with formulae and calculations but had enough clear space for their little lesson. "So the average campus job pays X per hour and you have to work Y hours to make Z money." He did the simple math on his board. "Now, if you can do as you're told, I can get you a job that makes 1.5X per hour which would mean you could only work .67Y hours to still make Z cash. Would that let you fit your recommended classes into your day, without being late to a single session of my classes?"

He let her consider that proposition for a bit then wondered what she might say when he eventually told her she could make 50X per hour if not more. But one had to start slow even with the brightest students.

"Now the catch is, you will work my hours, which can be a little, odd."

======================

"You're form is nearly perfected Takashi, another couple of decades and you may be ready for an actual fight." He said in with warm respect, he had no doubt Takashi would be a formidable opponent and that their sparring sessions had made him a better fighter. But he always felt sparring was like dressing up for date but never getting laid. It was an imperfect metaphor but he liked it.

He also liked Takashi Ito and had a lot of respect for him which he tended to ration out only to those he felt deserving. Damn he was quick and he struggled to keep up. Ito had a way of using his bulk and strength against him, it was enough to make him want to wring his skinny neck sometimes.

Xavier was also well aware of his friend's sexual preferences which he did not share, though if he ever was going to be interested in a dude, he could do worse than Ito. He found it curious that had Ito been a woman, this form of intimacy between them would have been difficult to manage. He wondered if his friend had such challenges. It was a thought he kept to himself. They kept up a bit of the display as some of his students arrived.

He kept his tone more formal once they had an audience, he would never dream of dishonoring Ito in front of his students. They were after all, his students. Xavier had no such patience for them but he enjoyed being the token aggressor, even taking a few hits for his trouble. Nothing like what he would feel in the cage, but they could smart. He more enjoyed the more than occasional opportunities to demonstrate the futility of some of their actions. Sure they might work on their classmates, but a hardened fighter wouldn't be so easily neutralized.

"Back for more Caliope?" He said with a smile. She was another chatty one, reminding him of his office visit earlier. He could think of some fun ways to quiet that one down, but he kept those thoughts to himself for now. She was a fiesty thing, and like Ito he wouldn't underestimate her, but he would love to get her pinned to the mat some time.

Calliope 'Callie' Blakely

"A new buyer huh?" Calliope said and raised an eyebrow.
New buyers were of course not an entirely rare event, but one that gave Sabrina cause to mention it as something of an event was. It must be something special indeed and if this new buyer was, as Sabrina said, worth ten then Calliope didn't mind a bit of mouth on them. Her mind strayed momentarily at the thought wondering if this new customer might be persuaded to put that mouth on both herself and Sabrina for a small discount but then she shook the thought away. Nothing but hard cash that could be divided up and shared between them on the 70/30 deal they had made almost a full year ago when Sabrina had first asked her if she wanted to help with the distribution.
"Worth ten you say," she asked and looked intrigued.
"And you're sure this isn't someone intending to edge in on our business, buying from us and distributing among her friends ..."
She paused and considered this a while coming to the conclusion that it might be someone she herself could perhaps use in the future when Sabrina left to enter the real world of work and responsibilities and presumably left the business to her. After all she too would then need a distributor because whatever else the drug business at BRCC was it had grown into something more than one person could handle and still study. At the same time she felt it was important not to let it grow too big, not to let it grow big enough to draw unwanted attention from the wrong people, be they law enforcement or the thugs who distributed off campus. She was almost sure that Sabrina had some kind of deal with her supplier giving her the BRCC campus as her own territory much the way she herself had had a deal with her supplier in high school.

It was with a giggle and a mischievous glimmer in her eyes that she nodded along with Sabrina's suggested titles and when she mentioned that numbers six and nine were her favourites the nodding became a little more intense and she licked her lips, flicked her tongue at her upper lip as if she could still taste Sabrina on her lips from last night.

"Not here," Calliope responded to where she was going to keep her stash of psychedelics.
"No more than what I might use for inspiration anyways," she added and then her face grew suddenly serious, a rare occasion indeed.
She sighed.
"What! Just because I look like cotton candy and fairy farts I can't be serious. Should I go all emo and shit like that kid of indeterminable gender who whizz about the campus on their board like they own the place, or maybe I should stop washing my hair and dye it black wear thick lines of black eyeliner and black lipsstick so that people take me seriously, as both artist and drug dealer?"
She knew of course that Sabrina only meant well when she nagged at her about taking things seriously, knew that Sabrina had spotted her talent, not only for distributing Adderall and Molly around campus but also as a very creative person. And as Sabrina knew because she had seen more of Calliope's work before BRCC not much of what she created was candy fluff and happy rainbows. There was a lot of darkness in there that might perhaps better have the other descriptions Calliope had suggested changing her style too.

It was of course more huff than puff and even if she had a serious look on her face that few people ever saw there was a tone in her voice and and attitude to her pose, hands firmly at her sides but still mostly relaxed, that said she wasn't exactly hopping mad just a bit annoyed that because of how she presented people just saw her as a nymphomaniac pixie fluttering about campus and not much else.

"Maybe it's time we talked about our deal again," she said as she handed Sabrina the work phone with the new orders and the bag with the money.
"This is your last year after all. You'll need someone to take over. Someone with experience that you can trust. Right?" @BennyQ

In the end the two young women looking like two very different worlds kissed and Calliope made her way first to the gym for Professor Ito's self-defense class which was perhaps mostly for the purpose of learning martial arts, she attended his other extra curricular class as well, but also for a chance to watch Professor Rollins muscles. It made her soaking wet every time she had the chance to touch them while sparring with him. @xavierrol

She then headed back to her apartment in House Vries a little before 8pm to meet up with the girl who had called about the room. @Catarina

Catherine "Cat" Jenkins

Catarina nodded, a flush creeping up her cheeks. "Yes, I can swim," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. She thought it to be a weird question, was he going to take her to a lake? She could always swim in her bra and panties, though she would have preferred having been told in advance. Oh well, live a little...

They walked towards his truck, its exterior caked with the evidence of recent off-road adventures and she allowed him to boost her up, feeling his muscular hands on her soft bottom, pushing her up with such ease.

Inside, the truck was a time capsule, with a bench seat that had seen better days and a gearshift that stood sentinel between. Catarina hesitated, considering her options. She could sit beside him, her thigh pressed against the hard metal of the gearshift, or she could scoot across the seat, allowing his hand to roam freely. She chose the latter, but should Drew rest his hand on her leg she would not protest.

It isn't like her to take a ride with a person she just met, and to a location she does not know. She should hear a million alarm bells in her head, but she feels safe around Drew.
