Between that quote and the rest of his post I suspect you are on the right track. My guess would be that or something related with streaming/cam girls/other adult content.
 
hello there! my apologies if this is ths wrong place to ask haha but I was curious if y'all are still open to new characters/writers? :3 I had an idea for a new art professor (specializing in painting and drawing) that I'd love to throw into the mix!

An Open Roleplay is always open! It's meant to be more casual, allowing writers to come and go as they please. I'm sure we'd all love to have ya!

ah okay, that's what I'd assumed but I just wanted to make sure haha! and thank you <3 I hope to be able to post a character sheet soon and hop in! :>
 
I have been thinking about this for a while but I feel like I am not fitting in that well with the rest of the players in this particular roleplay and I think it is mostly due to a mismatch of expectations on my end, but it just doesn't feel right for me to continue as if things were all ok.

@xavierrol knows I was considering to add a second character and that was my initial reaction to the issues I was facing with trying to feel like I was fitting in with the rest, but I suspect that would just lead to double the expectations and potentially double the disappointment on my end.

This is in no way a criticism on other players I just think that I personally am not on the same page as the rest and it makes me feel like you are all rowing in one direction and I am rowing in a different direction.

I plan to conclude the encounter with Takashi on the tea house, but after that I suspect my character Lina will just have a family emergency and go back to Portugal.
 
Sorry to hear that @GeekyLina I do hope you reconsider but understand and appreciate the feedback.

Welcome @mortalcoils looking forward to seeing your character. As Benny states, Open roleplays are just that, as long as you have a character post with an age, you are welcome to join in.
 
alriiiight I have a character sheet up! after browsing everyone else characters, I wanted to ask @BennyQ if you'd be opposed to Maisi running into Valery? unless I missed it, I haven't seen him in the rp yet -- but let me know if he's already involved in another scene! <3

Hello! I would love a scene like that. You can PM me and we can discuss the deets further if you like. Or if you prefer, you can catch Valery in his office or classroom in the late afternoons.

I can understand dropping out. It's something I've been wrestling with myself for some of the same reasons. The excitement has changed, shifted.

I still hope to continue our scene but maybe we need more of a mixer now that characters are established? Ideally this remains a group RP even if there are some couples (or more) scenes branching out.

Maybe thought I think there are limits to the main thread can contain and tracking times will be difficult. I thought it would mostly be used to set up meetings between characters. But it is an Open RP so I think the group will follow what works for them. I'm certainly open to ideas that enhance the experience. I know we have a lot of group RP veterans here so don't be shy about making suggestions.

I plan to create a new thread for an encounter with @Catarina assuming she is agreeable. Others are welcome to do so as well to keep their side stories straight. The thread names should start with "Blue Ridge Community College," then add a name. This marks them as part of this group. So the thread I plan to start would be "Blue Ridge Community College - The Quarry"
