If I get any flak for this, I guess I totally deserve it. I don't EXACTLY play in movies' universe. Well, at least it has been until very recent.
Disney has certainly influenced my taste in roleplays as most of their movies had sentient/sapient ferals. The Hound and The Fox being the best example but not the only one. Eragon influenced my love for dragons, especially rider and dragon, also HTTYD in its moment (animated).
Balto has its own place in my mjnd and heart so... there's that too, but not an universe I write in
I'd say the only exception of not being an inspiration and and a movie universe i'd be glad to play in would be Back to Outback. But instead of traumatizing an animal by pointing out how dangerous she is and throwing her aggressively in a box. The approach would be more... performative. Yes, awareness is given that these animals are indeed dangerous. But that doesn't mean a handler can't have a fun show like wrestling with a bear or a croc or doing something silly like "swordfighting" a snake!
