Suggestion Search capability within a PM

As OOC planning, plotting and general chit chat occurs, it would be VERY USEFUL if we could search our PMs for specific words (i.e. look up a scene idea or two that was discussed many pages earlier).

Is this possible? Or am I missing how to do this?

Yes I have. It's workable while the number of pages is low. It'll feel very clunky as the page number increases though.

i would like a feature like this too, as i have pms that are 30+ pages (at least one over 60, wops). it takes forever to go through them if i am looking for something specific.

what you can do in pms is add threadmarks, but then you have to do that from the get-go in order to keep it organized.

unfortunately, i don't think this is a feature that is on the table right now.

As per this thread, this has been considered before, but there are some technical limitations:
The real irony is I did try searching for whether this question had been asked before, but it returned too many results that I couldn't be bothered to sift through.

Thanks for the context! Good to know.

if you do an advanced search, you can choose to search just one section of the forum, e.g. "questions and suggestions". you might already have done that, but it certainly narrows down the search results!

If you're already on the subforum you want to search through, you can even select it without leaving the page:

Granted, in this case I just happened to know the exact keywords that appeared in the post I was after :)
