Hello all and welcome!
Life has a funny way of working out sometimes. I have had to take time away from BM over the years due to various reasons, but I always maintain that itch to write, which brings me coming back. My desire to write novels has finally returned after what seems like an eternity and I've always enjoyed Blue Moon as a way to help me grow as a writer and step out of my comfort zones. If we've shared stories in the past and you'd like to resume or maybe start something fresh, that would be wonderful as I have had some wonderful memories of this place, but I will leave the ball in your court on that front, as not everyone like to receive a random message from a past writing partner.
Anyways, now that we've gotten that out of the way...
Here is my F-List, as that is the quickest way to get out what I like to write most: the darker, grittier side of stories. As much as I would love to do multiple posts a day, sometimes just enjoying the back and forth (which may happen on occasion), a more realistic expectation would be once or twice a week with the understanding that we are all adults with full time jobs and lives outside of the computer. This may mean some weeks I have more time to devote to responses, while others I'll be so busy that the minimum is all I can do. But I want to stress, I am above all else, a quality of quantity writer. I put thought and care into each response and some posts may boast 2k words, others may only need a couple shorter paragraphs.
As far as plots, I am very flexible with what I am able to write, so I tend to not have any specific plots pre-thought out. Instead, here are a few favorite genres or general plot types I enjoy:
Fantasy
Medieval
Sci-Fi
Modern
Post-Apocalyptic
General Plots
Adventurers
Frienemies
Rivals
Hired Hand
Dark. Gritty. Taboo aspects of the human relationship. All things that I get out of bed for when it comes to writing.
I know this may seem very generic, but I am fairly good with coming up with ideas once I get a sense of who YOU are and what sort of style you like. So let's do some brainstorming together and make a story that we'll both enjoy.
