Tell me again about how it hurts
Being awfully loud for an introvert
Status: [Open] | Post Length: 400-1,000 words| 70/30 Story/Smut| PM’s Only
WILL UPDATE AND ADD MORE OVER TIME (hopefully...)
"In life, there is only one constant, and that, my friend, is change. Positive, negative, it matters not. Change will still exist despite the pleas of the ones fearful of its existence…"
As a person, change has always been a fear of mine, and has influenced my current need to push myself out of the comforts of an easy, happy story. That doesn’t mean that I won’t ever prefer a fluffy or gentle narrative, but the goal of this is to push myself to write new things, things that I may have never felt I was able to do successfully in the past. Maybe I’ll fail, but I’ll try better next time!
LOVE
[dark fantasy, romance, cyberpunk, supernatural, dystopian/utopian fiction, psychological thriller, enemies to lovers]
HATE
[Pure Smut, Slice of Life, Lack of Consequences, Excessive Gore]
I prefer to talk and create a setting together as I’m not the best at actual worldbuilding (aphantasia is a bitch when you like to write), but I can create characters and plots decently. I am also quite open to most things as long as it is entertaining to write.

Plots & Starters:
- A Historical Nightmare
-
In a "perfect" society where conflict is suppressed, one person secretly learns about the old world and battle ideologically with another historian who refuses to seek the truth— until they realise their hatred masks something deeper.
Within the dusty, barely used library were two young scholars, sitting across from each other, reading tomes from past centuries. There was a clear omission within the pages, page numbers jumping from 20 to 23, as if that part of history was simply revised or never existed at all. The current government tried their best to hide these changes, and in most libraries, they had simply created new copies of the books. In certain rural areas, this was not a feasible option, so instead they simply cut out the pages that could be seen as conflicting or unkind. Characters such as Hitler or Stalin had no place in this new world, leading to the erasure of decades of oppression and murder from public knowledge. Why would they need to know anyhow? How would that help them in the future?
What these scholars were currently reading instead was essentially a fluff piece on how indigenous tribes kindly handed over their lands throughout history, and nothing bad ever happened.
"What a load of bullshit…"
Amolia grumbled under her breath, flipping the page and finding that it had skipped six more pages. She scanned the next page, hoping for any sign of context for the missing texts. Her (forced) history partner, Sav, held a matching book and seemed much more at ease with what they were reading.
"What are you whining about now?"
Sav whispered, annoyance ringing through their tone. Sav grew up in rural villages reading these books and could practically repeat the stories by heart. But that was the problem. Sav saw these objectively incomplete books as full stories, absolute facts, while Amolia saw them as an incomplete puzzle, something that needed to be solved. Amolia was raised in an upper echelon of society, not that it gave her much advantage in life, but it allowed her to opportunity to grow up with remnants of the past; hidden books, journals, and diaries that exposed parts of the truth to her that nobody was meant to know. It was explained to her at a very young age by her parents that the information that she had found had to stay with her and her alone. But her parents are long gone now. She had to find the truth, however horrifying that may be and no matter the personal cost. Due to the inherent distrust of the stories in front of her, she began to find the irregularities in the books she explored. Each time she began reading on a subject, she would dedicate a secret journal to the small facts hidden in the pages, things that one book kept that another would purge. It wasn't a complete history, but it was better than giving in to the lie. Sav resented Amolia for this, believing that she was just endangering herself and others for this fantasy of alternative history.
The pair were meant to write an essay about a specific historical moment, but have had to change the subject four times due to Amolia's refusal to, in her words, lie just to get a good grade. Sav had tried to ignore it, but when they read the first draft of Amolia's half of the essay, Sav knew they would not be compatible.
'Who the hell is Catherine the Great?'
'She was an Empress of Russia-'
'Russia never had an Empress during this time period, what the hell are you talking abou-'
Their argument was cut short due to a stern look from not only the librarian, but the security guard watching over the building. They quickly decided to start meeting at each others apartments, knowing that if they were to disagree they should definitely disagree in private.
"It's nothing."
Amolia grumbled, bringing Sav back to the present by slamming the book shut and putting it along with three others into her bag. Sav glared at her, knowing what was coming next.
"Don't you dare say we need to change subjects again we only have two weeks lef-"
"I know. I just can't believe that people just blindly trust this-"
"Shhhh!"
The security guard actively glared at the pair, meaning that their time in the library was up and they needed to leave before they were forced out. The two silently packed their bags and walked out, Sav giving an anxious wave goodbye to the librarian and the promise that they will return the books on time. Once they were far enough away Sav groaned and looked over at Amolia.
"Why can't you just follow the assignment? It's not only affecting your grade you know?"
Amolia sighed and met Sav's glance.
"We'll talk tomorrow."
"We can't keep doing this. I can't risk getting a bad grade on this Am-"
"I said we'll talk tomorrow."
Amolia growled before stomping away back to her apartment. Sav groaned and started walking the opposite direction.
Until tomorrow. - Perfect Pair.

A government-mandated pairing system claims to find "true love" — but someone’s falling for the wrong person.
The time has come… Your perfect mate will be chosen by midnight tonight.
Every young person's dream was to turn twenty-one and finally find the person that would be their perfect match. While it is a special moment for all who enter the system, it is quite mundane to most of society now as it happens every day of the year. To some it is quite inconvenient as their match could be anywhere in the world. In those cases the government will decide who has to move depending on the familial status in society. Blessing was one of thousands that were going to be matched that day along with her best friend Leo. Blessing was raised to simply accept the pairing and that it was just correct. Due to this fact she had never dated, let alone kissed anyone. She was shivering in both nerves and excitement. Leo turned to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
“Will you please chill out? You’re giving me anxiety over here!”
Blessing shakily laughed, taking a deep breath and trying to relax in her seat.
“Sorry Lee, I just don’t know how I’m meant to keep it together right now! I’m about to meet my forever person!”
Leo rolled her eyes at both the nickname and the taller girls statement.
“This doesn’t change anything, you know that right? It just means you have another person in your life to annoy.”
Leo teased, gently flicking Blessing's nose then blocking a smack on the arm. Leo laughed then looked down at her journal, her perfect person… She doesn’t see how it could be true. As the bus full of soon to be newlyweds came to a stop in front of the large convention center both Blessing and Leo took a deep breath before stepping off and walking in to meet their destiny.
As soon as they stepped in they were separated and placed into different lines based on surnames and each was given an ID card with their name and a strange symbol. They sat in separate rooms, waiting for their name to be called. Leo was first to be called of the two and was led into a tiny room with scanners and a large screen. The operator asked her to scan her card and stand in the center of the room. The process took close to five minutes, longer than most. Most people came out saying it took only one or two minutes max to be shown their soulmate. Leo began to fear for the worst as the screen finally lit up and revealed… nothing. There was a deafening silence as the operator walked back into the room, a solemn expression on his face.
“This has only happened three times in all of my years here. I am so sorry, but your soulmate must have passed before his scan.”
An excuse. It had to be an excuse.
Leo’s knees buckled underneath her as she realized what this meant. Not only did she not get the person she truly loved. She didn’t get ANYONE. She would have to leave this place and watch as all the others pitied her. The operator gave her a minute before helping her up and gently stamping a purple mark to the inside of her wrist.
[UNCLAIMED]
The man gently explained that the mark would never go away unless a soulmate was found and approved by the government. Leo numbly looked at the marking, unsure of what to make of it. At least it wasn’t immediately noticeable if she kept her hands at her side. She was soon pushed out of the room and sent back to the bus with all the other couples. When she made it back to her seat Blessing still wasn’t back yet so she sat idly while the couples stared at her lone figure. It wasn’t natural. Leo closed her eyes and leaned forward, head in her hands.
- Slay The Princess?
-
A cursed knight and a divine being are fated to fall in love — but their union will destroy the world.
[This one is a bit different as it is based off the game Slay The Princess so if you haven’t played it I definitely recommend you do, but if you want to go into it blind and we can create the world together that would also be pretty cool! This could also be played as a group RP scenario which would be a killer concept so if you are interested in any part of this idea please feel free to PM me!]
The Narrator:
You’re on a path in the woods. And at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess. You are here to slay her. If you don’t it will be the end of the world…
The Voice of the Hero:
We’re not going to go through with this right? She’s a Princess. We’re supposed to save Princesses, not slay them…
The Princess:
H-hello? Is someone there?
You must make a choice.
The Broken: “What’s the point of fighting if she’s just going to win everytime?”
The Cheated: “This whole thing’s a crock of shit.”
The Cold: “We’re supposed to be unfeeling. How many times do I have to tell you to snuff out your heart?”
The Contrarian: “He might have walled off everything but the path to the cabin, but I’m sure there’s plenty of other ways to ruin his day.”
The Hunted: “Does a cat lie to a cornered mouse just to play with its freedom, or is it just acting out its nature?”
The Opportunist: “Trust me. I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t think it would be easy.”
The Paranoid: “Shhh. What if He hears us?”
The Skeptic: “Yes, yes, don’t believe a word she says. Just go in, take the knife, and do what you’re supposed to. Wink.”
The Smitten: “What can I say? A world without Love is a world that isn’t worth saving.”
The Stubborn: “We’re going to fight her, and we’re gonna win.”
So many voices… so little choices… What will you do?
[Save the Princess]
[Slay the Princess]
[???????????????]
The fun part about this is that there are infinite ways this story can go, and we don’t have to play it the way the game was originally intended. Endless stories, endless opportunities, and so many characters to explore! The fun bit is that while the main character is forced to listen to all these different voices depending on their choices, the princess has full authority to do whatever they want… for the most part. After all, there is still the one telling the story…
