This thread is to be used for making someone's day with positivity and hopefully makes a difference in our lives.

Now,
anyone can add to this, provided that it is encouraging -- be it from a quote you've read and wanted to share, complimenting a person, a lighthearted joke for a giggle or even offering an ear to listen when someone needs to open up after having a rough day.

Even if people just read on here, that's all it takes to make a difference in our lives. Something that can be overlooked, encouragement can go a long way for anyone.
I'll add quotes and the like to this thread when possible.

(If you're unsure about adding anything, please let me know).

No matter what we face in life and regardless of the challenges we deal with, keep moving forward. It can be rough for sure (from past experiences, this I know), but I realized that if I gave up, all the effort would be for nothing. I can't begin to imagine what people are going through, but there are those who will help each other.

When life seems rough for me I like to remember what I once overheard someone say,

"The world is beautiful and so are you"

"the only journey is the one within."

"you are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously."
– sophia bush
"personal growth is not a matter of learning new information but unlearning old limits."
– alan cohen
"what we fear of doing most is usually what we most need to do."
– ralph waldo emerson

keep evolving. keep blooming. you're doing beautifully.

Things to remember in an attempt to not take things personally: I got these great ideas from a TikTok video.

1. Most of the time, what people say or do has more to do with their mood and personal battles and not necessarily you. Hurt people, well, hurt people. It doesn’t reflect you.

2. Stop personalizing random behaviors, and not everything requires interpretation. People live in their own heads and carry invisible struggles, it’s not all directed/reflected towards you.

3. Detach your self worth with opinion. You don’t need external validation. Your value doesn’t fluctuate based off of peoples opinions or criticisms. When you tie your self esteem to external validation, you’re setting yourself up to being vulnerable to others moods and judgements. Focus on who you believe you are and not what others see.

4. Choose emotional freedom over ego battles. Some situations are not worth your energy. Ask yourself “will this matter next week? Is this worth my peace?” 90% of the time the answer is no. Let it go.

You're right about embracing growth - it's what makes a person who they can become

Well said and when one no longer takes it personally towards others, but being who they are - it becomes calmer in their lives

While we can look at what tomorrow brings, there is no way of knowing as anything could happen. Instead, let's focus on today and appreciate all that it has to offer, not worry about our past and look forward to the good times ahead.

We have our past mistakes and have regrets from actions taken. But that doesn't define who we are. Mistakes are what make us human and gives the opportunities to learn.

you don't have to control your thoughts. you just have to stop letting them control you.

broken crayons still color.

life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning how to dance in the rain.

don't let your fear of what could happen, make nothing happen.

Nicely said and your right about controlling our thoughts. Fear can be powerful, but overcoming that is what makes us stronger
