about the writer   |    the gist    |    the finer things   hi, i'm relix (read simply as relic) and, boy.... it has been a while. so, i'm gonna start off simple like. i've been around writing, and it's many avenues, on/off for a few decades. as one can see by the creation date, i've been 'here' for a while. for a writing sample, feel free to check out the spoiler in the next post below or at the story telling post that i plan to update every so often with new tales and such.. which is right here. it's the most likely way i will write with someone in a collaborative setting, with minor tweaks here and there to make sure there is cohesion between partners and myself. my most recent stints for writing have been between f-chat and dm'ing a four-year long campaign—so, i'm not rusty-rusty. just, like, the kind of rusty where you 'haven't rode a bike in some time and you have no idea where the sent went but you really gotta be somewhere' rusty. getting back to forum-based shouldn't be tooo bad... due to a serious work-life imbalance, i'm generally around more during the weekend than the weekday—weekdays will be more pop-in, post if i'm able sort of deals. week nights, really. graveyard shift, ride or die. admittedly, this lifestyle hampers the social battery unless you live on the opposite side of the planet or live life at night. got any questions, hit me in the dms.​ this section is mainly listing (personal) rules and/or philosophies. i can be driven by both story or smut; can live without one, but not the other. i'd rather go without writing than stick it out with something that doesn't fuel my creative fires. it is never personal if this ends up happening. my time is my own, i do with it what i chose—i have limited free time; sometimes, i just want to chill & throw rocks into space. the goal is one (1) post per week. novella is fun, but i tend to settle for a few paragraphs at most. character interactions far outweigh chasing plot hooks! i'm easy, i'm breezy, and i'm sle—seriously ghost friendly. if the scene isn't working out, no need to let me know! last thing i'm owed is explanation, we're here for fun! communication is great - being forthright is the best option; i'm a malleable writer as far as a lot of things go. i do my best to be as understanding as possible; life happens daily. we - more likely than not - are on completely different time frames. i don't expect immediate replies or daily ones, for conversations or posts. c: honestly. this here is just going to be small additions to 'the gist' — like a lil' bit of what i'm after. with a few extra things spliced in, but definitely the end of this introduction post! as previous tab suggests, my posting schedule 'preference' is once a week (read: guarantee). ideally, i'm shooting for more but time available vs paragraph count factors in there. minimum of once a week. third person perspective and that whole nine yards. i best characterize my writing - of late - as past progressive tense. plotting is good, outlining a script isn't. i prefer to get basics down and have a solid foundation for the scene. getting caught up in detailing how the story will go, when the story breaks, etc. more often than not will ruin my immersion. it's nice to have ideas, but it's easy to get sidetracked when the hypothetical pen hasn't been put to paper. it's pretty easy to talk ourselves out of an idea with too much plotting. plus, who knows what will happen—so many things can change just by subtle nuisances introduced by characters. plot point #34 might become pointless because something else entirely derails the scene somewhere not previously thought on.​ i don't chase. this is certainly one of my faults—very, very, very rarely am i going to follow-up after a prolonged period of time. if vibes are right, writing with you is something i can't stop thinking about; i might give it two weeks before i slide into dms to see how everything is doing. this is simply... me as a person. everyone here has a life and commitments that are typically greater than the site themselves. if things suddenly come to a silent ending, i'm more often going to shrug and keep on pushing. my dms are always open to those who have went silent/ghosted, always with open arms and an eagerness to pick up something new. c: putting it into a time frame. after a week of silence, i've pushed the scene to life-support. two weeks, it's dead and i've moved on to replacing the slot / getting the idea back into circulation. conversation friendly. none of my ideas are something you're into but want to see how the waters go? not a problem! slide my dms and fire away. conversations are never a bad thing and no one can know if it doesn't sponetaneously kick something off. and just because i don't have something up doesn't mean i won't be interested in something you might have, or have special interests at that time that haven't been listed.​ i like a lot of fandoms. for the most part, i will be listing a lot of my fandom craves—i'm big into playing as canon characters, but i lean more toward canon x canon over canon x oc. with exceptions of course... kink coverage. i have a f-list, yup. several in fact—but i'm only going to link them upon request because of the simple fact that i like to keep things to a slight realistic theme. what i mean by that is fairly basic. when it comes down to getting to the smutty side of stories, i take into consideration where the characters are at relationship wise. i lean into smut on the aspect of what would be most likely to occur. if it's a kink-driven one-off, yes, kinks are to be expected... but a blossoming personal relationship will flow different the first time compared to the tenth time, while being completely different from an adrenaline fueled slap-slap-kiss theme. it's not a list of ingredients to cram in everything we can at one time. and finally: as you've seen. i type in lowercase, it's just how i do it. all posting will be typed properly!

all right—let's kick this off with a few ground rules: -fun is priority number one; there's no harm in walking away. -pm = thread > off-site; maybe in the future can off-site be explored, but it's vegas rules. what happens in... -paragraph+ vs novella; i'm post/word count-flexible but time sensitive. Longer posts = fewer responses. -quality over quantity; longer posts can be fun, but it can also be fluffy. -live in the moment; (this is more suggestion than rule) don't skip ahead unless it makes sense, might miss out on something fun otherwise! -characters 18+; not into kids. -real face claims > drawn; drawn is better than ai, though. we're anti-ai art over here. -kinks...? maybe, kinda. not sure. i have a list i'll share, ask for it; more so after 50/50 or based on the flow, tempo, chemistry of the characters / current mood.

D&D Critical Role - Baldur's Gate - Forgotten Realms - Homebrew Any of the campaigns currently or iterations from the Anime for C1 choices. Campaign One: Vax'ildan x Vex'ahlia - Uh, this is a million percent a... guilty pleasure pairing and wildly degen (and AU). Vax'ildan x Raven Queen - Because why wouldn't her champion also be her paramour? Vax'ildan x Keyleth of the Air Asari - I respect their ship, without a doubt; but not my most favorite? I am definitely keen for little moments where the Queen lets him see her every so often. Percival x Vex'ahlia - I've got a thing for exploring their married life after the events of the Campaign. Sylas Briarwood x Delilah Briarwood - Hnnng. Some baddies? Yeah, I could go for that— Campaign Two: Caleb Widowgast x Jester Lavorre - It's cute, I dig it. Caleb Widowgast x Astrid Becke - Past pain. Past trauma. Past feelings. Mm. Tasty. Caleb Widowgast x Bright Queen - I love my queens, I'm sorry!! Fjord Stone x Marion Lavorre - Jester's mom got it going on— Fjord Stone x Jester Lavorre - Good ship, I like it. I'm game. Fjord Stone x Avantika - AU where Fjord and Avantika fuck off to unleash Uk'otoa? Yes, please. c: Campaign Three: Truth be told. This collection of cast is good, but I'm really only into like... Imogen x Laudna, for degen shenanigans. Magic dicks ftw— And, of course, it goes without saying: OC x OC - I love this world as a whole, making our own characters and dropping them in? Sign me the fuck up. Tav x Tav - most ideal choice if we're going gameverse. (male) Tav x Canon - possible, but not required. Canon x Canon - possible, but unlikely. I love all the ladies (go figure, right), but there's no guy canon that remotely hits unless we're talking Wyll x Mizora. Non-gameverse: OC x OC - so many number of class combinations that it's almost endless for slice of 'life' themes, action-adventure, subterfuge, god-betrayal, devil/arch-fey summoning. This is general mimicry from Baldur's Gate; except, the wider 'structure' of the D&D World. Focus will be limited / temporary on any adventuring through Baldur's Gate in this setting. OC x OC - so many number of class combinations that it's almost endless for slice of 'life' themes, action-adventure, subterfuge, god-betrayal, devil/arch-fey summoning. Putting this here as a huge maybe—it's a lot to do, all things considering. From continents, to global scale, to heirarchy, political systems, towns, guilds. It's a lot. Not impossible, but damn, you better knock my socks off.... or get invited to my own world I've built. Who knows. No promises! Marvel   Cinematic Universe     Rivals     Comic   This'll be a wide variety list, some will have immediate pairings. Some will be who I'm interested in playing. For he most part, preference lies with Canon x Canon over Canon x OC. There are some possibilities out there, but not for everyone. Tony Stark x Natasha Romanoff - Kinda-ish AU—but more explorative in the time that Natasha is under cover, spyin' on the genius for Fury. Tony Stark x Christine Everhart - It's a crackship. Clint Barton x Laura Barton - Even if it's Not-Actually-Agent-19, I'm all for this pairing. We stan households that fight crime together. Stephen Strange x Clea Stephen Strange x Christine Palmer - The Illuminati one, not OG. Multiversal travel just for a cup of coffee with Ms. Palmer? Yes, please.
