I have two major pairings in my head right now that I really can't shake. I want more of these RPs so I can write more good pairings. I try to post when I can, though I was missing for a few months. By the way, if I missed an RP thread, please poke me and let me know. I like to think that I am mostly caught up, but I am also completely terrible at communication, and still recovering from cutting open my hand! (I know for a fact I owe 3 different people a post, and I am trying to get those out today)
I post anywhere from 250-1000+ words in a post, and I try to post at least once a week... try is a key word. I am very bad at this. If I fall behind or I stop responding to you, please reach out; it's never intentional, but things do slip past me. I've been known to write entire replies, and then walk away from my computer thinking I've hit send, and just wait for a reply that is never actually coming.
Don't know how smart it is to upload a detailed plot right now. I'll be gone from the 18th to the 28th on vacation, spending time with my fiance. I won't have time to write replies. Or at least I don't think I'll have any time for it.
But I've got this idea that will not leave me alone, which is based on the IDW Sonic Comics. The ship I am looking for is Miles 'Tails' Prower' x Amy Rose (both characters are at least 20)
The backdrop: This story branches as an AU from the Metal Virus saga onwards. *issue 29*
But for those who don't know: The Metal Virus was Eggman's darkest plan. His greatest Triumph, a virus that turned living tissue into metal and spread on contact, turning regular people into Zombots. Aggressive but slow-moving metallic robots, which would go about infecting every living thing that they touched. In the end, Sonic and Silver were able to use the chaos emeralds, and another stone called the warp topaz, to deinfect the world, and send the virus into the sun. But their victory came at a price, and Sonic was tragically warped away as the Topaz overloaded and sent him spiralling into time, space, and the multiverse. (he was gone for all of five minutes, waking up in Blaze's garden and immediately coming back, ruining any drama that could have been gained from his disappearance... fucking Ian Flynn*)
And that is our point of Divergence. Sonic is gone. Warped through time and space, gone forever. Character sheet in the shredder.
The world was saved, but the damage was immeasurable. Doctor Eggman, Doctor Starline, a world of villains running around. It puts a lot of pressure on these two to step up. Tails was already working himself half to death, but how do they cope with the loss of one of their closest friends? How do they deal with the fact that in order to solve the Metal Virus they had to let Eggman, the man who started the epidemic get away in the first place? What's the world like after recovering from the end of the world?
Well a lot of that will have to be sorted out by us, I don't like planning too far ahead, but honestly this sounded like a really fun plot starter.
*I wrongly attributed Sonic's immediate return to the head writer of IDW Sonic, Ian Flynn; this was incorrect, as he is under a mandate by Sega that Sonic may never die due to the previous head writer of the Archie comic series, Ken Penders, due to lawsuits... I was unaware of this at the time of my original post, but it explains many, many of the weird decisions that have gone into IDW Sonic comics.
