Calliope was just watching for a brief moment in time although it didn't seem like long before the handmaiden was coming back into the room with a different dress. Although since Caleb's back was to Calliope at the time, he wouldn't have been able to see what happened, but he would definitely figure out something was wrong when the handmaiden was all of a sudden gasping, "Lady Calliope!" While Calliope was safely sitting in the chair, it still had protect her all that much from falling onto the ground when she ended up passing out.
 
Valerie was rushing off so that she could fetch the doctor, to get him there quickly. It didn't take the man long at all to rush into the room and he was going over to check her over. It was speculated though that it was just the stress of whatever was happening that had caused it. Which meant that her former master was more or less the cause of the stress, the fear.
 
This had a guard looking over before one of them was stating that he was a fellow lord, that they couldn't risk putting hands on another lord.

Braelyn was just looking towards Alexi as he was on the phone before she was getting up to walk over to him.
 
Braelyn was just looking towards him before she was speaking in a soft voice, "Master.... Can't I come with you." No she wanted to be near him. She needed to be near him.

Eventually the guard was just heading out of the room though to do his job.
 
Braelyn was just looking before she was speaking, "Yes master!" With that she was kissing him back before she was tilting her head and was questioning him in a soft voice if he was picking out her clothes for the day or if she could. Not an uncommon wonder from a pet. Sometimes their masters enjoyed dressing them, to show off their pets. She definitely wouldn't be opposed to him choosing her clothes at all.
 
"Yes master." Braelyn was going off towards her clothes so that she could pick something out to get changed into. Sure it was still something on the more showy side but it was also something normal for her. A pair of short shorts, and a tank top with some sandals.
 
Braelyn was just looking around as they drove although she didn't say much of anything at all.

At Caleb's house, Calliope's former master was definitely causing issues. And most definitely making the servants think quite badly of Calliope. How she had run away from him despite carrying his child to shack up with some random man that she hardly knew. Thank god she hadn't woken up from having passed out earlier, who knew how she would react to hearing those comments.
 
Caleb tended to her and he would deal with the staff later but he didn't have time to deal with them now. Caleb knew that Alexi was on his way and things would get sorted then
 
Calliope was still unconscious but she seemed to be just shivering as though cold, body just trying to deal with the fever that was plaguing her.
 
It would take Alexi about thirty minutes to get there, and the man had definitely been causeing problems since then. There were definitely a lot of Caleb's staff that seemed to quesiton if the woman was the right fit for him at that point.
 
Braelyn was just watching from where she was sitting in the locked car, although she couldn't help but giggle at the expression that the other man had when he was told to be silent.
 
the Lawyer then in formed him that as his pet had been taken away from him due to abuse he had no claim on her and if he wished to claim the child he would have to wait nine months
 
"Abuse. Prove that I abused her. Other than by her word alone. Pets accuse their masters of abuse all the time." the man was speaking after a moment in time before he was stating that striking his pet for disobey wasn't abuse, it was educating and teaching. Sadly he wasn't wrong there, as the mark had ended up going away after a bit.
