Calliope was a little startled as he was doing that, and he would see a small hint of fear in her features when she was meeting his eyes. But a normal thing for a pet being bought by somebody else - they didn't know how they were going to be treated.
 
Calliope was wanting to draw away but she wasn't sure how he would react to that. She wasn't sure how to react to this situation at all.
 
Calliope was just questioning him in a soft voice how he wished for her to serve him. No she truly had to wonder what she was getting herself into. Was this going to be a better place than where she had been? Or was this going to turn into something from nightmares.
 
"for now I want you to relax and get use to my home I won't touch you until after the baby is born and your cleared by your doctor" Caleb was making it clear that he wouldn't put her pregnancy at risk
 
Calliope was just nodding her head as she listened to his words although she really had to wonder if they were truthful at all. That he wasn't going to touch her until after the baby was born and the doctor cleared her. "Yes sir." she was speaking after a moment in time.
 
Calliope just seemed to flinch a bit at his sigh, having not been intending to irritate him already. Although what she was startled by was the sudden hug.
 
Calliope was just looking towards him before she was questioning in a soft voice, "How shall I address you from henceforth?"
 
"Caleb that is my name if you wish to use a term of endearment you are welcome to" Caleb smiled at her lightly "and you are free to come and go from this room as you please if you need something simply ask"
 
Calliope was just giving a small nod of her head, almost seeming a bit baffled by this but she was giving a small nod of her head. "A...Am I able to explore the house to learn my way around?" she questioned in a small, almost hesitant voice.
 
"of course you are not forced to stay in this room however I do ask if you go to the garden that you take someone with you as it is a maze and easy to get lost in" Caleb smiled lightly at her and hoped that she would be ok there
 
Calliope was just giving a small nod of her head although she clearly was a bit unsure at that point in time. Not that it was abnormal for a pet to be given free reign of a household with rules but it wasn't something that she had been use to, at least not for the last few years.
 
"I.... Umm.... Just not use to this kind of freedom. Former master was.... In the eyes of many he seemed like a gentle man who cared deeply about his slaves. Behind closed doors.... it was a different story. We weren't allowed to roam about the mansion this freely, even his favorites. We could only go where he said we could go." Calliope was speaking after a moment in time.
 
"ahhh that makes sense but you're not just my pet you are also my partner which means outside of this room you are my equal" Caleb wanted to make sure she knew this information and was comfortable with it
 
Calliope was just nodding her head as she watched him for a moment and was just rubbing her neck a little where the collar was that she was still wearing. One that he could replace with his own if he so wished, or he could just not have her wear one. That wasn't an uncommon thing for those who wanted lifetime partners to do.
 
Calliope was just nodding her head before she was speaking, "Much better." Although she still didn't move from where she was standing, as though waiting for a new one to be put on.
 
Calliope was just tilting her head a bit but she was soon taking a small step away when it seemed as though he wasn't putting a new one on. It did seem like she had some freedom there.
