When she finally tracks C1 to her luxurious penthouse, she expects a fierce fight- only, C1 is waiting for her, reclining with a glass of bloodwine and amused by the young hunter's bravado. She offers C2 a deal: she will help her hunt down the rogue fledgling responsible in exchange for sparing her life. As they work together under a tense ceasefire, C2 starts questioning everything the Order taught her about vampires- especially this regal, dangerous woman who seems to know her deepest thoughts.
