So I've been making my way through Assassin's Creed Origins and I have been bitten by a hankering for some more historical fantasy settings featuring my new lineup of characters. She's the faint bump in the night and that odd shadow that looks a bit out of place, she is the monster under the bed and the curse in the ancient temple. A predator by nature she takes incredibly sadistic pleasure through people's terror.

She loves a challenge, overtly attracted to larger more monstrous aggressive partners whom she loves to tame under her command. She spends most of her time in the underground waterways, tending to the carnivorous fish that infest the crystal clear waters or outside in the vast forests surrounding the "doll house"

3. Control over a tar like dark matter that contorts to form new weapons/appendages. (basically a bit like Venom from spiderman or Inque from Batman beyond if you need a visual reference until I can draw some)
4. They can create additional subordinates called Scavens, skeletal monstrous creatures formed from the puppet's dark matter and the skeletons of their victims they use as servants and additional combat forces.
5. Each has their own special power that develops with time.
Each batch is controlled by a puppet master which is usually a necromancer but it can be someone whom the puppeteer builders can bestow control to for example a strategist.
Fandom aspect to them: Initially based off Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2, they are created as specific guards to the castle, moving throughout the castle with ease they will destroy anything that dares invade and tries to invade the castle.
The cave Sanctuary
The cave sanctuary is a massive underground maze made from marble and granite where the dolls reside when not on duty. It's an ever growing/changing structure depending on the new dolls added to the lot and their whims.
The place is secluded lying atop an underground waterway filled to the brim with deadly schools of fish that can pick the flesh clean of the bones of even the strongest creature out there.
The place is populated by massive semi skeletal beasts called scavens created from the marionette's dark matter and the skeletons they collect from the crystal clear pools. The sanctuary is an ever changing ecosystem filled with perils and pleasures that only the fortunate can survive. Entering the cave is an oppressive and ominous sensation where you constantly feel watched until you run into the ladies of the manor.

The underground waterways:
They start from a grand glacial lake and spread out under the basaltic rock forming a maze within a maze. The lake is baren, lifeless, as temps are so cold nothing can survive but algae however the rivulets that flow from it as water trickles through the cave roof in it form a complex shallow web called the Nursery due to it's schools of small piranha like fry the massive water beasts produce. They eventually find their way into larger and larger bodies of water and eventually the ocean with the outer most parts of the cave inhabited by the largest most fierce of these predatory fish.
The nursery:
Located in the deepest underground glacial shallow rivers the nursery is the Marionette's playground. The small piranha like fish fry are attracted to it's cold waters as they absorb their egg sacks and develop their voracious appetite. Here they feast on a variety of creatures, bats, insects, rodents and anything unfortunate enough to fall into the water. The Marionettes use it as a cleaning station bringing in their prey either large animals or unfortunate victims that had not survived their games and simply chuck them in letting the small fish feast on the flesh while leaving them with beautifully clean bones. As a result place is littered with thousands of skulls of all shapes and sizes. Some resting below the water, some on the shore, many arranged into beautiful ornate piles that the marionettes can just pluck from when needed.
