Edith was just blinking a bit as Joe was commenting about a part that was in the script about how she ends up as a part of an experiment where she fades out of existence and leaves her clothes behind. Well that was definitely something that she hadn't known about at all yet. But that was something that she was going to tackle after they had finished eating. There was definitely a feeling of irritation rising in her at that point in time - although it was more so with all of this stuff she was being subjected to without it being run by her first. But ultimately she would deal with it - especially if Joe was working on the plot. He found a way to tastefully do stuff as well; mix in Nathan and typically she didn't have much of an issue. While she didn't enjoy showing off her body often there were times that she could handle it in moderation. With that she was taking up a fork so that she could take a bite out of her Chinese food. Delicious!

---

Charlotte was still attempting to try and worm away from them, a rather futile battle at that point in time. Then there was the suggestion of paddling her, which definitely had her going a little pale. Oh she was definitely against this entire thing that was happening. "Let go of me!" she was speaking once again and actually try to tear away from the men, not that it did her any good. No she was pushed chest down over the warm hood of the car with her ass exposed to them. The only solace at that point in time was the fact that she could hear the sirens.... but it seemed like they were unaware of it. Perhaps a good thing. It was a godsend to her to hear the sound of the sirens... even if it meant police seeing her in this state.

Well, Edith didn't choke on her food when Joe mentioned her character's new powers...the first Dave had heard of them as well. That was a good sign, which meant she wasn't opposed to the idea. And the prospect of having a female character regularly lose their clothing? Dave didn't like the idea of taking advantage of Edith like that, but he was practical enough to see the mileage marketing could get out of that. "No chopsticks today?" Dave couldn't help teasing Edith, trying to insert some levity into the conversation, when he saw her choose a fork instead of the chopsticks. Not that he blamed her...he couldn't handle chopsticks either. But then, he had ordered the hamburger.

************************************

Charlotte's orders were of no concern to her attackers as they spun her around onto the hood of the car. One of the men actually let go of her arm, but it didn't aid her quest for freedom much as he climbed onto the car and sat on her back, compressing her breasts against the hood of the car and making it more difficult to breathe.

her ass made the perfect target now, and the thug wasted no time swatting it as hard as he could. He did it three times before he stepped back to admire his handiwork, in the form of a red mark on Charlotte's ass. "Nice." he declared, and it was unclear if he was talking about her ass or the mark.

The thug still holding ehr arm frowned for a bit. "You hear that?" he asked, and the lead thug shrugged.

"They ain't coming here." He declared as he stepped forward and hit Charlotte's ass again, but despite his declaration, the sirens were getting louder.

Edith was just eating her food at that point in time. No she was bothered by the whole idea but she was just wanting to eat her food at that point in time. She would complain about if after she was done eating. But her expression was enough to say that something was bothering her at that point in time. Although her eyes were going towards Dave when he was asking about the chopsticks which just had her commenting, "You already know that I cannot use them to save my life." Nope she had tried that a couple of times and it had ended terribly... never again did she want to try that. At least not in front of other people anyways. Perhaps when she was at home. Alone. In her own house. Then she would try it. At least then if she made a huge mess... only she could laugh at herself.

"And also for whoever made the script... I am going to be having a heavy discussion with them about deciding to make such major changes to my character without bringing it to my attention first." Edith was stating before she was taking another bite out of her food. No much like some of the other actors - her character was one that she had tailor made for the show. Well at least partially. A lot of the ideas for her character she did have to thank Joe for since he had done some work with it as well - helping her make her character more interesting. "I'll let it fly the first time that it happens though." she was adding after she had swallowed her food.

-----

Charlotte was giving a startled cry when he was climbing up and sitting on her back, which only made it more difficult to breath at that point in time. Then came the three swats that were coming into contact with her ass - this definitely had her crying out... yet that wasn't going to do much of anything. Not like anybody there really seemed to care that none of this was alright. At this point in time her only hope was praying that those sirens were coming there.... and even if they did she would have to wonder how they had known. They were in a part of town that nobody typically traveled at all.

The fourth swat had her actually in tears though. She was beginning to wonder if her ass was going to end up bruised because of this the next day. But there was one thought in mind was that this could be worse, there were definitely far worse things that could happen.

"You won't get any better if you don't practice." Dave teased her, though he had a slight frown on his face. Something was bothering her, clearly, he knew her well enough to know that, and he had a good idea what it was, but it wasn't his place to speak for her, or try to write for the show. Sure, Joe and Edith had had different visions for the show at times, but they'd always managed to work it out themselves. The only time Dave had gotten involved was when the studio tried to interfere and they needed a buffer. He saw no reason to try and intervene now...Edith could speak for herself. Joe, for his part, hadn't sensed anything wrong. Between the food and the script he was still trying to write, he hadn't paid much attention to Edith.

At least, not until she gave voice to her objections. His eyes widened at the reminder she hadn't been consulted about the script changes he'd seen. "It wasn't my idea." Joe hastened to remind her. He hated it when the studio messed with his scripts, and it seemed to happen more frequently with the new management.

*************************

he leader swatted her ass at least a half dozen more times, quite enjoying the feel of it, and the red marks he was leaving on her butt. But that wasn't all he wanted to do to her, far from it, and he reached out and placed a hand between her legs as he started to rub it against her pussy. Suddenly, though, one of the other men spoke up. "Uh...boss..." He began as he pointed, and the man's eyes widened as he saw a police car round the corner, lights flashing and siren wailing.

"Oh, shit." The man said as Charlotte was suddenly freed, the man getting off her back and into the cab. Charlotte wasn't entirely off the hook, though, as the leader grabbed her by the hair and forced her to look at him. "Tell the cops anything, I'll find you and stick my cock inside you next time." He warned her, squeezing her breast to drive the point home before he punched her in the stomach.

Edith was just looking towards Joe for a brief moment in time before she was commenting, "I am aware that it wasn't your idea at all. When you have ideas you want to incorporate you always consult with the actors first." Whether it be sitting down and talking to them or he would draw up his own script and leave a written note that stated that he had an idea, where he wanted to add it in, and details about what he wanted to have happen - although this way of communication was only for those few actors that didn't like to verbally sit down and talk stuff over. Edith thankfully wasn't one of those people. She was a pretty talkative person - loved to talk with people. Her eyes did flicker towards Joe before she was commenting, "I could never get upset with you." He was one of her favorite people outside of Dave and a select few others. Most of the people from the new management on the other hand... she wasn't a fan of them whatsoever. Taking advantage of stuff was pretty much what they were doing.

----

Charlotte wasn't at all enjoying this and was just wanting this all to end, tears just stained her cheeks at that point in time. There was a tenseness when he was reaching between her legs and rubbing against her womanhood. Thankfully that touch didn't last for long not with another man speaking, pointing something out. Something that she could see from how she was laying. The flashing lights of a cop car and the sirens. Something out there had heard her plea for help - or somewhere there had been that good samaritan that had witnessed everything and had placed a call - not wanting to get involved themselves but not wanting to see it continue. She was soon enough free from the man sitting on her back although she wasn't able to move at all - not with the leader of the thugs grabbing her hair and giving her a warning. More or less not to say anything or he would rape her was essentially what she was taking it.

There was a gasp of pain coming from her when she was getting punched in the stomach and she was just going down to her knees. Her whole body was trembling from head to toe - she wanted nothing more than to just get out of there at that point in time. No she wanted to just go home - well to her brother's home for the time being since he had offered it to her to stay at for a short bit until she could find her own place. Not that she would take advantage of him and just stay there forever - no she would try and find her own place as quickly as she could. Or that had been her plan.... yet with this happening... she was terrified to go anywhere anymore.

Joe nodded at Edith's statement. He was aware some writers refused to take the actor's opinions into consideration when writing scripts, and he understood that to a degree. Some actors would then try and take complete control, or try to develop their character at the expense of others, but thankfully Joe had never had that problem with Edith. If there were any onset issues, Edith didn't let them interfere with her job, at least as far as Joe could tell. It seemed Edith shared that opinion, and he smiled when she said she couldn't get upset with him.

Dave, by this point, had finished his meal, and he smiled a bit at the interaction between Joe and Edith. This meeting was going far better than the one with management. He glanced over at the door as someone entered...almost on cue, the waitress appeared to remove his plate and top off his drink. Dave had no idea how she knew he was done, but it was the level of service he'd become accustomed to here.

********************************************

The thug didn't pay much attention to Charlotte once she went down to her knees, though he couldn't resist kicking her in the ass before he got into the cab. The others had already climbed in, and the cab took off almost before he even got the door shut, leaving Charlotte in the middle of the street in her birthday suit.

The police car screeched to a stop a few feet from Charlotte and a man dressed in plain clothes exited the vehicle, though Charlotte could see a gun and a badge on his belt. "Miss? Are you all right?" He asked as he knelt down a foot away from Charlotte, though he didn't touch her. He did look at her though, his eyes scanning her body for injuries, though he couldn't help but see everything else. "Mike? Get the blanket." The man said, and a uniformed officer who had also exited the vehicle nodded and turned to the rear of the squad car, opening the trunk. A few seconds later, he handed the blanket to his partner, who held it out to Charlotte. "Do you need an ambulance?"

Edith was looking towards Joe with a faint smile before she was going back to eating her food. Honestly at that point in time her thoughts were just all over the place - and she was mentally murdering the people who had actually interfered with her character. That was something that she wasn't all that pleased with at all - interfering with her character and not bothering make sure that everything was alright with her when it came to the changes. There were definitely some actors out there though that would totally blow up at a change such as this - Edith had witnessed that happen a couple of times. And it was sad for the poor person who actually had nothing to do with the change and how they were taking the brunt of the anger. The exact reason she wasn't upset with Joe. She knew that if this had been an idea he had come up with, he would have run it by her first. That was just the type of person that he was.

"I have to wonder what other surprises they've pulled in that case." she was murmuring more to herself at that point before she looked at her phone for a moment. With that her eyes were flickering towards Joe before she was commenting, "Oh just a heads up as well. Deathwalker will be making a return. Stephen wants to return to the show, and he plans on returning regardless of what his managers want at this point. He says that he has missed everybody and cant wait to see what epic things you can write up for him."

-----

Charlotte about lost her balance and tumbled onto the ground when he was kicking her in the ass but thankfully she didn't. Her arms were tightening around her even more but needless to say she was grateful for the police car that pulled up. It was a lucky break and a godsend. There was a mental thank you going out to whoever had called them if anybody had called them. Her eyes did go towards the plain clothes man that approached her but he never reached out to touch her at all was just asking his partner to grab a blanket from the trunk. A blanket that she was accepting from him and wrapping around herself, no she really didn't feel like being exposed anymore than needed at that point. There was a head shake when he was asking if she was needing an ambulance. "N...No... No ambulance is needed." Charlotte was speaking after a moment in time. Her voice was shaken but she was still a bit freaked out with what had happened - but she was coherent, she was talking, there was no blood. Outwardly she looked fine... about the only problem she had was her ass stuck like no other but she was sure that a hospital couldn't really do much for that. Pain killers and perhaps some ice to help. No the other thing that she wanted to do was go find her brother but that wasn't going to work out well without any clothes at all.

"No... I just... want to go home. I just returned home from overseas studying abroad. I had come to surprise my family... I was going to go to my brother's work and surprise him there..." Charlotte was mumbling after a moment in time.

"Did they tell you about the cast changes?" Joe had a sinking feeling the answer was no, so he went ahead and explained. "They want me to kill off Grant and Doug's characters, but frankly it seems like they just want to bring in a younger...cheaper...female...actress, to take their place. I think I can get the same effect without writing them out of the show permanently. That way, if we get through the miniseries with decent ratings and get renewed, they can return as guest roles...and maybe we can get them back on the cast, if we get a big enough budget increase." Joe had no idea the show being renewed had more to do with Edith's willingness to continue under the new contract conditions than budget or ratings.

Dave winced as he heard two of the main actors were being cut...this was the first he'd heard of it as well. Unfortunately, there wasn't much he could do about that, and as a pragmatic matter...he was here to support Edith's career, and that had to take priority.

**************************************************

John nodded when she claimed she didn't need an ambulance, confirming his earlier assessment. She stuttered a bit in her reply, possibly indicating brain damage or a concussion, but John guessed it had more to do with the mental trauma from the assault than an injury. Especially as her speech cleared up a bit as she tried to explain. He winced as she revealed she'd just returned from overseas...he was willing to bet everything she owned had probably been stolen. "Did they steal any electronics...like a phone...by any chance?" John asked, his cop instincts kicking in. If they had stolen something like that, he might be able to find it, but he had a very narrow window to work with. "Can you describe the men who robbed you?" John continued. He had a good idea what she might say...this wasn't the first robbery of the sort that had been reported. "And sure...we can get you home. Can you tell me where you live?"

Edith was just looking over for a brief moment in time before she was shaking her head at the question of the casting changes. Although she was frowning when he was commenting that they were planning to kill of Grant and Doug's characters. Well that wasn't going to go over all that well - considering they were up there with some of the fan favorites. And just killing them off seemed.... unneeded and cruel. Especially since their characters were some of the main characters. With that she was commenting, "I would definitely try and write them out without deleting them forever. I know that one of the guys was wanting to take a step back anyways with a newborn on the way, so that'll work out perfectly." And at least if they didn't kill them off - it did give them the chance to bring them back in the future if it ever came to that. Edith was just shaking her head before she was speaking, "Just killing them off like they want to... is probably going to sink views." The other two in question were main characters that typically worked closely with Edith's character - they were all teammates and the top heroes that took to saving the world.

She was just letting out a breath before she was commenting, "I swear if this new management continues with what they are doing... this entire show is going to sink into the ground because I will step away. Then they will just be fucked anyways." Sure their views were going down recently but they had simple ways of bringing them up once again - and that was with simply bringing back a few old characters.

----

Charlotte was just looking towards him for a moment before she was nodding her head then spoke, "Yes they took everything. My phone, wallet, credit cards, clothes that I had brought with me." She hadn't brought anything else with her - although she was also commenting about the necklace as well and giving a description of that. Now that was something important to her. Everything else she couldn't really care about at all. Phone she could get again, bank accounts she could close and get a new one, clothes were something that could be rebought. That necklace on the other hand... that was a completely different story. Soon came the question of where she lived which had her stating in a soft voice, "I don't actually have a place right now. I was going to stay with my brother while I got myself a place - he told me it would be fine in a letter a while back whenever I decided to come home. I was going to meet him at his job site." With that she was telling the police where her brother worked, just holding the blanket tightly to herself at that point in time.

Joe nodded as his instincts proved right and Edith had no idea about the other mandates that had come from the front office. "I think I can pull off writing them off rather than killing them off." Joe said as he turned a page in his notepad and began scribbling again. "I don't think the front office will care, as long as we don't have to pay their salaries anymore." He nodded at the information Doug wanted to take a step back due to his family situation. He'd heard the rumors, but this was the first time from a source he could trust. He raised an eyebrow at her next statement. "I don't know...I think the shock value will get the initial views anyway. The trick will be keeping the viewers, because your right...they won't stick around if we don't do this right. But maybe...we can make the search for one of them a main subplot of the character arc. That would keep their spirit alive in the show, at least.

Joe shot his head up when she mentioned quitting. "I thought we had a five episode contract." He said worriedly. He was focusing the arc on her...if his information was wrong and she wasn't going to complete the show, he'd have to start plotting all over again, though he wasn't sure how he could make the show work if all three of the main characters left.

***************************************

Dave nodded as he opened his notebook and wrote down the descriptions she gave him. It was a long shot, but there were a few pawn shops he could check. A concerned look came over his face when she revealed she didn't have a place to live, and her current condition she was in no state to get one. But at least she had a brother as an option. "All right...let's take you to his work, and maybe we can get this sorted out." Dave tried to assure her as he rose to his feet, and opened the rear of the police car for her. His instinct was to help her to her feet and into the vehicle, but given her current state of undress, he knew that was a bad idea.

Edith was just looking towards him before she was commenting, "I wouldn't actually quit... at least not now anyways. This new management continues to do stupid shit and not discuss their changes with everybody then there might be problems. Right now that is just more a threat because I'm quite annoyed with these new people." No she wouldn't ever just walk away and abandon the show - after all she was agreeing to appearing nude on screen just to get more views once again. Not that she was opposed to those occasional scenes; she wasn't ashamed of her body at all. With that she was just letting out a breath before she was taking a drink of her pop that she had there before she was commenting to Joe that he had nothing to worry about anytime soon. She was giving a light smile before she was commenting, "You are stuck plotting for me still."

-----

Charlotte was getting to her feet after a moment in time before she was cautiously following after him towards the police car, just keeping the blanket kept close to her. Well it covered her at least. Not that she felt any less awkward at that point in time, but she was at least safe that is all that really mattered at the time. Safety. And she doubted that the cops would try anything. Sure there were definitely some corrupt cops out there that would try and abuse that power, but she wasn't getting those vibes at the time.

Dave was quite relieved when Edith confirmed she wouldn't quit. She had a signed contract after all and breaking said contract would embroil her in all sorts of legal trouble, and make her almost a pariah to the other studios. "Well, clearly this new management doesn't care about the normal etiquette. They are in charge and they know it. Hopefully we can get the ratings back up and they will leave us alone." He figured if their ratings were good enough not to risk being canceled, management would leave them alone.

Joe also gave a small sigh of relief. He could write around the other stars leaving and focus on Edith's character, but if she left as well and he had to just write about some new characters...well, he could put out the script, he just wasn't sure anyone would watch.

**************************************************

John tried not to look as he ushered her into the patrol car, but the blanket wasn't exactly secure cover, and he couldn't help getting a glimpse of her butt. Of course, he said nothing as he climbed into the front of said vehicle. "It's not far to the studio." He informed her, then hesitated. "Ummm...how do you want to handle this? Should we go get your brother, or did you want to go meet him?" They hadn't covered this situation in the academy.

Edith was just shaking her head before she was agreeing that new management didn't care at all about normal etiquette. And ultimately that was going to have a number of actors not wanting anything to do with this new management as well. She could only imagine how it was going to turn out if other female actresses were tossed into this situation - especially newer actresses that had just started out. That was an unfair situation to them and could either lead to them becoming really popular... or being labeled as somebody who was just using her appearance to get people to watch her. Not an ideal route to go at all.

"I'm just hoping that if they have any new female actresses join the show.... that they aren't going to subject them to this treatment of having to being filmed nude. That is a desired want to do something like that." was all Edith could comment after a moment as she leaned back in her chair and pushed some of her hair out of her face.

----
Charlotte was climbing into the back of the patrol care and was just sitting with her legs crossed after buckling herself in, just keeping the blanket around herself securely. She was a bit lost in thought and hardly heard what she was being asked - at least not until she started to focus a bit more when she realized that she was being spoken to. Oh what she was wanting to do when they arrived at the studio her brother worked on. If she wanted them to go get him or if she was wanting to go meet him. "Probably be better if one of you gets him...." Charlotte was speaking after a moment in time. The last thing she needed was to walk around in just a blanket and have somebody trying to call the cops on her for public indecency. And there wasn't really a whole lot that she could do about it right now.... not until she was able to get to her brother.

(John and Dave were mixed up on accident, namewise, just a heads up.)

"I haven't heard anything about new actresses." Dave tried to reassure her, but he paused when he saw Joe shaking his head slightly.

"I was told to make room for a new actress...sort of a protege for Edith's character. But they haven't told me anything about who might be cast...I don't think they've gotten to that point yet." Dave sighed...management should have run it by him first, and he would have had a few actresses in mind. They could have done some test scenes with Edith and seen which ones had the chemistry together, and he could have given Joe some guidelines on what to write. But once again he was being blindsided.

"Well, maybe we can just refer to her at first. Since we are bringing Deathwalker back...maybe while he was gone, he found a protege to train? Her switching sides could be interesting." Dave suggested, and Joe nodded thoughtfully. "That could work." He agreed.

************************************

John nodded...he figured that's what she'd want...and after a brief discussion with the gate guard and some directions, he was soon parked in front of a building. "I'll be right back." He assured Charlotte as he vanished inside. About five minutes passed, then suddenly her brother came running out of the door. Frank tore open the door of the squad car and practically tackled Charlotte as he tried to hug her. "Are you all right?" He demanded.

(Ooops...sorry about that. edited.)

Edith was just looking for a brief moment in time before she was speaking, "A new character would definitely be nice. The views have always seemed to jump when somebody new appeared. Everybody always curious about what they could do, were they are hero or a villain." No she was never against a new actor joining the show - in fact it gave the show some more dynamic in the end. It gave it some more excitement dependent on the route that they ended up deciding to go. She was just listening to the men as they spoke about the idea of with Deathwalker coming back, perhaps he had found a protege to train. Then there was the idea of somebody switching sides and how it could be interesting.

"You know.... What else could be interesting. An alternative universe where the heroes are villains and vise versa." Edith was commenting idly. No not to just have that as the whole show - just a few episodes with that could be something interesting. And there were definitely a lot of fans out there that often wondered - what would it be like if Deathwalker was a hero? What if it was like if this hero was a villain? There were some heroes that in the earlier part of the series- they could have gone down that path of a villain but they never did. How could that have turned out if they had?

-----

Charlotte was just watching as she sat in the back of the car just huddled in the blanket at that point in time, just watching as the cop was heading inside so that he could find her brother. Not that it would be difficult at all - her brother was well known in the building. Although it wasn't long and soon enough she could see her brother running out and the door was being yanked open before she found herself in his arms, being hugged. She was just burrowing her head into his chest for a moment before she was giving a small nod. No the cops she hadn't really told the story too but she was mumbling to Frank what had happened. Her arrival to town, what had happened with the cab driver. With actually feeling safer now, she was pretty open about what had happened.

Joe just stared at her, dumbfounded for a moment, then he turned to a new page in his notebook and began scribbling furiously. "What if that's where Deathwalker was at this entire time....an alternate universe...maybe...maybe...his alternate self is dead in that universe...maybe you killed him...and maybe...maybe...his daughter...from another universe...is out for revenge...comes for you...in this universe..." Joe suddenly looked up, his eyes shining with excitement. "We won't have time to visit the universe in this couple episodes...but we could drop a teaser as an epilog to our last show...a glimpse of you in the alternate universe...with Grant's character too...THAt would get the fanbase buzzing, and if our ratings are on the edge, that might tip the scales."

Dave nodded in excitement as well. "And we could redress the sets...use the same actors...that would ease up production costs...I can sell that to the front office." he agreed.

***************************************

"Damn...damn...damn..." Mark just repeated with a shake of his head before he pulled back from her. He noticed her blanket had shifted a bit, and quickly moved to pull it back over her shoulder again. "I don't..." He paused for a moment and stared at her sister, not sure how to go from here. "I don't have any women's clothes at the house...but let's visit wardrobe. I can get you a dress to wear until we go shopping. Jeanine won't have an issue with that when I tell her what happened."

Edith could see the gears turning in his head as he seemed to be sparking with inspiration and thinking of new ideas to make stuff exciting again. There was a faint smile on her lips but at that point in time she remained silent - just letting him talk about his ideas. He always had plenty of good ideas and knew how to keep things interesting. Sometimes stuff that he did was definitely a curveball but it was an enjoyable curveball usually. Very rarely did the idea not work how he wanted it to. "I mean this could make for an exciting next season though as well if things work out how we are wanting it to." she was commenting after a moment in time. That was definitely true - it would definitely be a plot twist to say the least. End the current season with a major cliff hanger about the whole thing then the next season was going into the alternate universe and touching base about what had happened - why the daughter was seeking venegance. A backstory of shorts. "Fans do love plot twists." Edith was chuckling.

----

Charlotte was just looking towards her brother for a moment in time before she was speaking in a soft voice, "I just got back from aboard and wanted to surprise you.... I didn't think that it was going to turn against me not saying anything about coming home." With that she was just shaking her head a bit before listening as he was commenting that he didn't have anything that she could wear at his house but they could visit wardrobe, at least there she could get some clothes. She was just whispering to her brother that they had taken everything that she had with her - even great grandma's necklace. Which he would know was important to her - she never took it off. Or very rarely did. He also had one... which was quite similiar to how hers looked.

Joe nodded but he wasn't really listening to Edith...she wasn't adding anything to her previous idea, and was on board with what he was writing, those were the important points. "Yeah...yeah..." he said almost absentmindedly as he quickly filled up another page, then looked at the other two finally. "Fans love a good plot twist, and I think we have one here. We can even bring back Professor Snow...she got good reviews on the guest shot she did. Perhaps she's the one who managed to make the portal into the parallel universe."

Dave nodded, pleased the lunch had gone well. After the almost disastrous meeting with management, he hadn't been so sure. "I'll contact Panbacker, make sure she's available and interested. But given the script your coming up with, I don't think it'll be a problem."

"Well...I'm surprised." Mark told her with a gentle smile, then his face fell as she revealed they had stole the necklace. "Damn...I'm sorry, Char." He said, well aware of how much it meant to her. "You can have mine." He offered. It meant a lot to him as well, but he wasn't a jewelry guy so he didn't wear it. Charlotte wearing it made a lot more sense than having it sit in a drawer, and he knew very well she'd take excellent care of it.

Edith was just letting him write at that point in time, letting him talk about bringing back Professor Snow. A character that had only appeared in a single episode - although it had been planned for more but the actress had a lot going on in her personal life but she had agreed to appear in at least one episode. And it had definitely gone quite well - and her being the one to make the portal would definitely give a few reasons as to why she had vanished as well. It had been implied that she had gone off to do some research into stuff. This could have been what she had been researching more into - the existence of parallel universes.

"I'm sure that she would be interested. Who knows about overly available. Yet I suppose this is all just ideas at the time - and won't happen for a bit still." Edith was commenting. The other woman was pretty heavily pregnant at that point with her and her husband's first born - which was due at any point in time. A happy thing for them.

Charlotte was just looking towards her brother for a moment in time before she was speaking, "It happens.... It could have been worse... A lot worse." Yet all she could still do at that point in time was just holding the blanket close as she followed him. She just wanted to get inside and get some clothes on at that point in time. Her eyes were going towards her brother when he was offering for her to take his necklace which had her stating that it was fine, that that was his.
