"He has been released." Dibella, the Aedra Goddess of Beauty spoke her eyes flickering towards the rest of her Aedra brethren. A small shake of her head was all that followed, a look of worry crossing her features. This man was not good news whatsoever. Last time he had been free, war upon war had fallen upon the world. This also meant that they would once again have to align themselves with the Daedra to ensure that the world didn't fall to ruin once again.
"I shall go and speak with the Daedra." Julianos, the Aedra God of Wisdom and Logic spoke. It wasn't long before he was dismissing himself along with that of Mara, the Goddess of Love who offered to help as well, and traveled to the many realms of the Daedra. Soon all of the Daedra and the Aedra were gathered together.
After a while of talking they all came up with a plan of action. They couldn't get involved in the matter directly, but they could enlist people to help them.
"It has been decided. Each of us shall choose one to represent us to fight back against this threat. We shall give our champion our most prized possessions. This is how they shall know who can be trusted." Mara spoke after a decision had been made, and she was basically reiterating what had been decided upon. It had also been agreed on that each item that was given to their champion would be enchanted so only that of their chosen could even hold it. After everything was done, they all disappeared to go and find their chosen.

Meanwhile, in Riften in the ratways, a young woman with long platinum blonde hair and golden eyes was standing in front of the altar of Nocturnal that was in the Ragged Flagon Cistern, the headquarters of the Thieves Guild. The young woman standing before the altar was Psyria, a high elf that had originally been born into the Dark Brotherhood, quite literally as her brother had been in the Dawnstar Sanctuary when her water had broke. But something had occurred and young Psyria was taken away, taken in by the Thieves Guild by Brynjolf, who had owned her mother a favor. Since a young age the girl had made her way up in the ranks, even became a member of the inner secret circle, the Nightingales. They were the guardians of the Goddess Nocturnal, who was the one that all thieves prayed too. There was a period of time in which they were cursed after a former leader, also a former Nightingale, decided to steal the skeleton key, which had been entrusted to the guild by Nocturnal herself.
"Goddess Nocturnal, I as your humble priestess ask that you look over the others as they go on their mission. Help keep them hidden, help keep them safe." Psyria spoke as she bowed before the altar, her blonde hair flowing around her. After she had become a Nightingale, she had developed a deeper understanding to Nocturnal, to the point that she called herself her priestess. At first many mocked her pretending, but it seemed that the goddess herself had other ideas. It was quickly cleared up that Psyria was in fact a priestess of Nocturnal.
"Psyria! We are heading out now." a voice spoke which had her rising to her feet and turning to face the few young men that had walked up to her. This had her giving a small nod before she spoke, "May the goddess be with you." With that she watched as they left, although it wasn't long before her attention turned back towards the statue of the goddess. Something was calling her away from there, something called her to the Twilight Sepulcher, which is where the entrance to Ebonmere laid. This is where the female typically went when she wished to speak to the Mistress of the Dark.
Within the next few hours, Psyria was dismounting her horse and entering the Twilight Sepulcher. At one point to get farther into the place one had to travel the Pilgrim's Path, actually all but her still had to. Now the entrance to the Pilgrim's Path was a portal to the Inner Sanctum. With that she walked down the path and up the stairs, passing through the purple gateway into the Inner Sanctum. To her surprise, there was the Lady Nocturnal and in one of her hands she held the skeleton key.
"My child, I was wondering when you were going to arrive. You are my chosen champion. A new threat has fallen upon Tamriel, and each of us gods and goddesses has chosen one person to act as our champions. You are my most trusted. You are a Nightingale and you are my priestess. I now entrust into your hands the Skeleton Key, this shall be proof that you are my champion. No other many use it, may it help you on your journeys." Nocturnal spoke before the key was placed into the hands of the surprised high elf.
"I shall not fail you my Lady." Psyria spoke, but she didn't bow instead she went up and gave the goddess a hug. Only she was allowed to do that, only she could get away with that. She was the child that the goddess could never have. Why? Simply put, none of the Aedra or Daedra could have children. With that she took the Skeleton Key and slipped it into a small satchel at her hip. Usually there would be other lockpicks in there, although she had grabbed any from her chest in the Guild before leaving. There had been no point.
With that she took a step away and watched as the goddess vanished before the blonde turned and headed towards one of the entrances that was in the room, walking through it to appear in the Nightingale Headquarters.

Whiterun. Temple of Kynareth.
A young woman with long blonde hair stood before an injured soldier that lay on the bed in front of her, her hands clasped together as she seemed to be praying, her lips moving softly. Although as one watched the injured soldier they would be able to see his wounds slowly begin to close and his whole body that had been shuddering in pain seemed to begin to be calming down. He was coming out from being in pain and his injuries were disappearing, his eyes opening up slowly to take in the sights before him. He had been in so much pain before he hadn't even realized that he had been brought back home. Brought back to Whiterun, and was within the walls of the Temple of Kynareth to be healed. "Lady Kynareth has blessed you and restored you. Now... I advise return home to your family and rest for a bit, this will allow your body to finish the healing process." the young woman standing before him spoke as she was taking a step backwards. A clone of her, just in male form, seemed to appear next to her and was guiding her back those couple of steps. "Thank you Lady Priestess." the man was speaking as he was rising to his feet and taking a few unsteady steps before he was leaving - and the pair were left alone within the walls of the temple.
"Sister. You should go and rest for a bit. You have been healing all morning. It wouldn't be well for you to fall into fatigue as well." the male was speaking in a gentle voice as he kept a support arm wrapped around her waist when she seemed to sway ever so slightly. There was nothing more than a nod from her and the pair were leaving that area, leaving the temple, and heading to their home within Whiterun.
Once they had lived there with their parents, but then there parents had died when they had been very young. Their mother's sister had wanted to take them in but this is the first time that the female of the pair had ended up having a vision. A nightmare more like it one night. A future that would befall them if they went with their aunt. Used as servants, mistreated, and then just left behind like garbage. Not a life they had wanted. But as minors that hadn't had a choice - but the day that the Jarl had tried to state that they had needed to go with their aunt... the elderly priestess of Kynareth had stepped forward. This is when it was revealed that they had been chosen as the next champions of Kynareth - a message that she had received. Of course nobody argued with her and the siblings went to live with her. But in the end she passed away - leaving now sixteen year old Raeynn and Trae to live on their own within her own home. But the siblings managed it together - and all of the city folk were always so helpful.
Trae occasionally did jobs for the city guard, the Companions, and even the Jarl around the city. Yet at some point in his life he ended up getting intertwined with the Dark Brotherhood - having ended up helping out a strange Jester while he had been helping one day at a nearby farm. And before he knew it he was being invited to join them, a bit of hesitation at first but in the end he decided to go for it. An urging from Kynareth as well - there were some things that he could learn from them that he couldn't learn elsewhere, and it was extra protection for that of his twin sister. After all that had been the promise from Astrid as well - that as long as he was apart of the guild, Raeynn was apart of the guild as an honorary member. She would be protected as though she was one of them; even though the girl was woefully unaware of the truth, or that is what everybody thought anyways.
After they got back home, Raeynn was just sitting on her bed and tilting her head back a bit, her golden eyes gazing unseeingly up at the ceiling for a moment in time. "We are being called by Lady Kynareth. We are needing to travel to the ruins of Helgen to meet with all of the other Champions - those chosen by the Aedra and the Daedra." she was speaking after a moment in time.
All of those chosen by one of the Aedra or the Daedra would hear the same message that Raeynn had heard. The message to travel to Helgen by the next full moon - which was something that was happening within the next week. A trip that wouldn't take long for those that were rather close - but a journey that would cut it quite close for those that were farther away; such as the champion that lived the walls of Markarth, or even the one who lived within Riften.
