The White Stone [MsBloom / captain_bond]

Tyler rose and unintentionally gave Wren a bit of a show as he stretched his muscles after sitting still for so long. With an easy smile on his face, he carefully picked his way back over towards where they sat with their pad and drawing utensils. It had been nice, just sitting there and listening to the sounds of nature and nothing else, but his butt was a little sore from the hard rock and he'd had to brush off a few bits of debris that he'd forgotten to remove from his seat before he'd sat down.

But there was nothing to be done about it now, and he stopped to wait for the big reveal, unconcerned with his nudity.

Quite pleased with their work Wren handed him the sketchpad, trying not to stare too much as he did not seem to be in any hurry to get dressed again. They didn't want to say anything and it wasn't like his naked form was displeasing to their eyes. Instead they leaned back against the rock they had been sitting on but now sat against and closed their eyes, slowly smoking and waiting for his reaction to the drawing. They had let one hand wander into the pocket of their baggy grey jeans where the stone was. This naturally polished white stone that they couldn't really say why it felt so important, so precious ... They giggled and in their mind mimicked Gollum: Myyyy prrrreccciousss. The giggle grew into a laughter and they stubbed the cigarette out in a portable ashtray which they kept in the other pocket.

Tyler looked over the drawing and smiled. "That's very impressive. I love it." He glanced down at Wren putting their hand in their pocket, wondering if they were reaching for something. The stone, perhaps? Shrugging, he was about to turn back to the drawing when he heard them giggle. A smile split his face, a warm, genuine smile as, without thinking, he said, "Myyyy prrrreccciousss. The stone is mine! Not stinky hobbitses! Mine, mine, the stone is Gollum's!" He clutched the sketch pad (but was careful not to bend or damage it) as he pretended to shield it from Wren, as if it were 'precious'. And then he broke down in his own fit of laughter as he handed them back the sketch pad.

Clearing his throat, he said, "Do you want to do another pose? Something perhaps a bit more erotic?" He didn't know where that last bit of boldness came from, but those were, as they say, toothpaste words. He couldn't take back what he said now, no matter what. He'd just have to let the chips fall where they may, and hope things didn't fall apart before they could be built.

"Careful who you call a hobbit," they said with a smile.
"Weird creatures if you ask me," they added taking a drag from the cigarette.
"But it does remind me that it's long past time for afternoon tea."
They put the cigarette out and took out the BLT they had bought earlier, they'd had the crisps for lunch. The stone was still in their pocket though, just as the one ring had still been in Bilbo's pocket when he left for Rivendell after his spectacular vanishing act at the end of his eleventy-first birthday speech.

They shook their head at him asking if they wanted to do another, more erotic, pose and frowned ever so slightly as they tried to imagine what that might entail for a guy. They also considered for a moment if Tyler might be up for a more erotic pose if they suggest it was also a more feminine pose, like maybe reclining on his side while sensually touching his fingers to his lips.
"That is ... of course ..." they said and now took the stone out of their pocket, holding it out towards him.
"Unless you make it a dare for me to gain the stone back ..."

They finished the BLT and lit another cigarette.
"But I think we should really only do one each day ..."

Tyler grinned when Wren started to quote the books. "A wizard is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." He sat down and pulled out a sandwich of his own after taking the stone, still not getting dressed. Maybe he was trying to show off to Wren? Either way, he looked over at them when they spoke. "Yeah, one each day should be more than enough. I already have a dare in mind for you, in fact. Would you like me to tell you about it now, or wait until tomorrow? Either way, the dare itself will of course be done tomorrow." He cracked open a can of root beer and took a drink. "I got an extra water, if you want it?", he said, holding up the unopened bottle.

"Tomorrow will do just fine," they said and shook their head at the offer of him telling them about the dare he had in mind but did accept the extra bottle of water he offered. They had packed a bit too little to drink for an entire day in the woods. Sure the water in the creek was actually not bad to drink but still. They preferred bottled water.

They also found it rather strange that he didn't put his clothes back on. And still it seemed rather natural to him not to. Country folk, they thought to themself and chuckled as they slowly smoked their cigarette and drank about half the bottle.

"You know anywhere one might get their hands on some beer around here?" they then asked.

"My grandfather's store has some, but I wouldn't bother if I were you. Tastes like cat piss." Perhaps finally realizing he should put his clothes back on--and definitely realizing that Wren didn't seem all that interested in what he was showing off--he started to get dressed again. "But if you're determined, I'll 'forget' to card you if you stop by." He winked at them and sat down next to them after putting everything except his shirt back on. He seemed to want to ask about something, but didn't wanna seem too forward. So instead he said, "So, you said you were from Boston, right?"

"That's right, Cambridge actually to be more specific. Why?"
Wren looked at Tyler as he finally began to put his clothes back on, both relieved and a bit disappointed about it. It was not entirely lost on them though that him asking about Boston was of secondary interest and a compromise to what he had really wanted to ask so as they put the cap back on the bottle they smiled and not really giving him time to answer their reply they asked him calmly what it was he had really wanted to ask.
"Look," they elaborated.
"We just met right and I get that the whole they/them thing might be a bit confusing. I get that even back in Boston sometimes so there's no need to worry about it. If there is anything you are curious about or want to know to make it less confusing then just go ahead and ask. I won't bite ... and if I feel that your question is too intimate or personal I'll tell you but I won't get angry or upset ... alright?"

"Oh, no, it's not that," Tyler said with a wave of his hand. "It's just...ah, hell, might as well just ask my damn questions. Do you have a boyfriend or partner back home that'll come kick my ass for showing you my dick? Yeah, I know you asked to see it, but still. And...if you don't...what did you think?" This second question saw Tyler extremely interested in a rock in the riverbed, crimson blush creeping up his neck. "You don't need to answer that one if you don't want to," he murmured.
