The Art Thief's Obsession (LunarWolf and Guardian Angel)

Nox was just looking towards him before he spoke, "A couple but she burned them. It just continued to give her nightmares." Although he was just looking over at the sudden noise to see that her sister had completely pushed the easel away from her and watched it fall onto the ground. The paint was splattering on the ground and he was just going over to hold her gently. No the figure in the painting was familiar - the person that she had scene; or what she had scene of him anyways. Piercing blue eyes and dark hair it seemed like, but unfortunately that was about the only redeeming details that the portrait gave. "Take it and go.... Leave.... Just leave!" Luna was sobbing and just quivering in her brothers arms.

Nate stood and then walked over to took the painting from the easel "sorry for bothering you and bringing up bad memories" Nate then walked with Max and headed back to the car. Nate felt bad for upsetting her and he wouldn't blame her if she never wanted them to show up at their house again. with a image of the man they would be able to hopefully find the killer and bring them some peace.

Nox was just watching before he was speaking, "As you a detective you should know when not to ask certain questions especially if you had the gut feeling you knew the truth." With that he was escorting them to the door so that they could be leaving. Once they were out of the door he was returning to his sister and coaxing her to her feet so that they could leave his office, and he could get her to her room, her safe haven.

Max shook his head but as they had a lead on an old case he figured they could work that. Max walked with Nate back to the car and then got in after the wet painting was placed carefully in the trunk so that it didn't get on anything. when they returned to the station Max went to work on finding out who the person was so they could question them while also calling and finding out where people bought the missing paintings from

Nox was just letting out a breath of air as he ran his fingers through his hair. Trying to get his sister out of the state that she was in was now going to take some time that was for sure. Although he was sure that she would distract herself with painting galore at that point in time.

Max spoke with everyone and was soon able to narrow down when the paintings had been bought and this had the two of them going to speak to the owner to find out who had sold them to him. Max made sure to take a picture of the painting so that they had the image of the man so if they ran in to him there they could handle it.

The owner was just looking for a moment before stating that he had pulled the records when he had originally gotten the message about the paintings. With that he was handing over the information although it wasn't a whole lot to go off of. It had been a cash transaction and all he could give was a brief description about the person.

Max showed him the picture they had of the man they were looking for and asked if that was him. while Nate and Max had hoped that they would get a name they both know that this had been a long shot but now that they knew where the paintings had been sold from they had a good stepping stone to figuring out who was stealing them.

This had the dealer giving a nod before he was speaking, "Yeah it was him. Seen him a couple of times. Tall man about six foot, but he doesn't say much of anything. When asked if he is selling and is okay with cash, all he does is nod. Very seldom does he actually speak."

"if you can call us the next time he is due to come we would appreciate it." Max was more then a little happy that they might have the killer and since they had gotten his likeness from the only eye witness it had a good chance of it being the man they were looking for

"I haven't seen him in a number of weeks actually. He came and sold a painting to us about three weeks ago and told us this was the last one he had for now. This is actually the most we have heard him talk. He did state that when he procured more that he would sell to us again - that there was already a talented artist that he had his eyes on wanting to help get their paintings into the gallery." the dealer was commenting - not even thinking too much of it. Seeing the man as somebody who offered to buy paintings from artists to sell them at a gallery; it happened all the time. Especially when artists themselves were too afraid to do it - least everybody know what the true artist looked like.

Max and Nate looked at each other and then nodded their heads having seen how skilled Luna was they knew they needed to go back and warn her brother just in case he decided to strike there once more. Nate talked to Max and they both agreed that max would go and talk to Nox seeing how much Nate had upset the pair.

Even when Max would go to the mansion he would actually learn that Nox wasn't there at the time, having left so that he could go and buy Luna more paints. She was in a somewhat calmer state as she was just in her art room painting away - lost in her own little art world at the time. What she was painting just looked to be colors splashed at a canvas but it matched her thoughts and emotions at that time. They were all over the place and she wasn't truly sure what emotions she was feeling at that point in time. An artist would understand the message that was conveyed with the grief, the fear, and so many other emotions that normal people wouldn't understand.

Max worried when no one answered the door but he hoped that they just weren't home and he would have to wait to talk to them. Max had dropped Nate off at home as his shoulder was getting to him and the male needed some rest. during their drive to his home Nate had mentioned that they needed to form a task force to find this guy and to keep him from killing again

As they were driving to Nate's house they would actually pass by where Nox seemed to be standing outside of a store talking with somebody and a couple of bags of paint in his hands. They would soon realize that Luna wasn't anywhere near him which would tell them that she had in fact been at the house - she probably just hadn't heard the door.

Max slammed on his brakes and then parked in a no parking zone before getting out and going to talk to Nox as Nate was hissing in pain. "sorry to bother you while your out but I need to speak with you quickly" Max hoped he could tell that it was urgent and would listen to him

Nox was just looking towards the detective for a brief moment in time before he spoke, "Please make it quick. I need to get home to my sister. I just came out to buy her some more paints." Although he was glancing at his phone to see that he had a message from Luna asking him to pick up something else on his way home. Something that he had already grabbed thinking that she would already ask about it.

Max nodded his head "thanks to your sisters painting and some other information we were able to get a lead on your parents killed but he has made a comment about getting more art work and we don't know if he is planning on targeting your sister please keep her close for the time being" Max wanted to make sure that she was safe and sound as he didn't want to see her get hurt

This had Nox giving a frown when he heard this news before he was commenting, "I don't know that anybody would know how talented Luna is. She has never sold any of her work to a gallery or anything."

"while I don't know why he would it is a concern that we both have and feel better warning you to make sure that she is safe and that if you have other art works by your mother to keep them hidden until we catch this guy" Max didn't want to see more people hurt because of this bastard

Nox was just giving a slow nod of his head although he was looking at his phone all of a sudden when he got an alert that the front door had been opened, and tuning into the feed showed him that it was a stranger. This had him handing over the bags to the person that he had been talking to and was asking for him to bring the stuff over later. "I've got to go." was all he said before he was turning and bolting off, completely ignoring the detective at that point in time.

Seeing his Reaction Max raced to the car and followed after him. Max knew that something had to be wrong otherwise he wouldn't be reacting like he was.

The male that had been speaking with Nox was just watching for a brief moment in time but he was carrying the bags to his car so that he could take them over later. Nox didn't seem to stop until he got home and saw the front door wide open, his heart was racing as he looked around. He hadn't seen Luna in her art room but it had also seemed like it had been untouched.... the entry way on the other hand was a mess.

Max pulled up behind his car and both he and Nate got out before stopping him "call 911 let them know that there are two detectives on site but we are requesting back up we will find your sister"

Nox was just nodding his head and was taking out his phone to dial 911 but this is when he saw a message from his sister, which just had him looking outside for a brief moment in time instantly knowing where she was from the picture that she had sent him. She was hiding up in the remnants of their old treehouse - probably having heard the commotion and slipped into the tree from the balcony in the room that they didn't use much since it had been their parents room. "She is safe." was all he said but he was still calling 911.
