A woman was answering the phone and was just stating, "This is Natasha. If you are somebody who is wanting to enter our coding competition, please hang up as the sign up as long past. You will need to wait until next year to be able to enter. If you are not wanting to enter and are calling just for questions, please continue with your questions."
 
"yes this is Captain Sky with the police department (never named the city lol) and I have one of your contestants under my care and I am call to see about an exstention due to unforeseen medical issues." Sky hoped that she would be willing to help
 
Natasha listened for a brief moment in time before she was stating, "We only give extension on very rare occasions. This is a decision that I cannot make but I can transfer you to one of those that will be a judge at the competition, that is ultimately up to them. You will need to explain the exact reasoning behind why you are asking for this extension and they will discuss it amongst themselves to come to a conclusion. If you could wait a moment I can transfer you. And I also hope that whatever is going on resolves itself and our contestant is doing alright." Well she was understanding it seemed and explaining how it would work to him before he was getting put on hold.
 
Soon enough a masculine voice was answering and he was stating, "I heard from Natasha that you are wanting an extension for a contestant. May I please ask why the contestant themselves isn't calling asking for this?" A valid question.
 
"they aren't calling and asking because talking about it results in tears and I would like to avoid more crying if possible" Sky knew if she talked about what happened she would cry once more and then she would lose even more time
 
The man on the other end of the phone seemed to be listening before he was speaking, "You are on speaker as we are all together right now so please explain to us why we should be giving his contestant an extension. What contestant are we talking about?"
 
"her name is Skye and then reason I am asking it because for the last week she has been in the hospital after having been kidnapped and having her back broken which has caused her to be paralyzed from the waist down. And she hasn't been able to work on her game due to heavy pain killers" Sky explained everything to them from the kidnapping to her landlord pushing her and finishing breaking her back and leaving her unable to walk
 
The other end of the phone was dead silent as they listened to everything that he had to say and there was definitely a bit of chatter amongst them. Then the man who had originally answered the phone was speaking, "For the most part we are in agreement that we will give her an extension, but we can only give an extra week. But we do ask that you show us some kind of proof of this incident - a note from the doctor will suffice. This way if anybody tries to claim that we are being unfair, we have that documentation showing why we allowed it." A fair compromise to be honest.
 
"I can do that I can also get copies of the police reports as well and they will be emails to you by the end of the week at the latest if not sooner" Sky was more then happy that they were willing to give her the time she lost and he knew that would make her happy as well
 
"We figure that giving a week would simply make up for the week that she lost. This way everything is still fair in the end, she is still getting the same amount of time as all of the other contestants." the judge was speaking. Fair.
 
"that is very fair and much appreciated" Sky thanked them for doing this and then after wishing them all well and getting the email where the information needed to be sent he hung up and went to tell Skye the news
 
Sky then walked out and handed her the email "you have been given an extra week to get your submission in we just have to provide proof of the injury like a doctors note incase someone challenges it"
 
Skye was just looking towards him for a moment when he came out although she was just blinking a little bit at what she was being told. This was definitely news that startled her and actually brought tears to her eyes. Yet she was still pretty emotional as it was, but at least they were sad tears at all. "Yeah... I'm sure that the doctor would give a note easily. Or I have the notes from the initial hospital visit on my portal."
 
Skye was just wiped away some of the tears before she was giving a nod of her head before she was speaking, 'Thankfully you've played through what am I submitting." Which meant that it was more fixing bugs and adding in enemies. The story was there, at least part of the story that they got some context.
 
Skye was just nodding her head before she was shifting a bit once again so that she could straighten up a bit more. No perhaps she should see if he would help her to the bed, so that she could actually lay down.
 
Skye was just watching for a moment before she was just looking at the notes that were in front of them. She had a week to finish this but she wanted more input from others as well. "Sky. Do you know anybody who might be willing to test the game for me as well? I would like to have input from a couple of other people. I've got notes from yourself, the twins, and my brother. A lot of them a similar issues which tells me that it is just something that is going to happen for everybody. But then there are some things that have happened for one but not the others. So a few other eyes giving input would be super helpful." Skye was speaking after a moment in time. Oh perhaps she could ask Nate and Max to help out but she didn't know their emails at all. And Mason she had asked but he was weird about games - he didn't want to try it out just because it was only a part of the game, only a "demo" of the game. And he really didn't like playing demos - if a game caught his attention he just wanted to play the whole thing.
 
Sky looked at her and then nodded "I can ask Max and Nate and see if they are willing to try a demo to help you but I can also ask the station as well if you would like" Sky figured that she was wanting more people so that she had more information to work with
 
Skye was just looking for a moment in time before she spoke, "That would be super helpful actually. I'll be continuing to make modifications as time goes by but more input would be so much nicer."
