Hello!
These are just ideas for now, examples of bod I think this can go, but I do see this prompt going in 1 of 2 different ways. Each one uses the 'RPG System' idea in a similar way, but with different themes.
If you're interested in either, or have ideas of your own, please send me a message!

I was 22 when my life got turned upside down. I had just graduated college and started my dream job at a fashion studio when The Shift happened - at least that's what they've been calling it.
The Shift altered the entire world, turning it into a fantasy. Some people got transformed into elves, others orcs, and I even heard of some becoming kinds of magical creatures!
The Shift also introduced magic into our world. It didn't take long for the governments to try and regulate it, but they didn't have much success. Too many people could do each things, and new discoveries were constantly happening.
It didn't help that some people seemed to have unique abilities. Directly affecting other people with magic seemed to be off limits, except for one woman who became known as The Enchantress. She runs some kind of cult on her private island. Another guy figured out he could control lightning, something other people tried (and failed) to do. And I heard there was a person who could change the way they looked at will, although it's never been confirmed.
As far as I knew, The System was unique to me. It was some kind of RPG overlay, complete with quests, skills, and a status screen. Honestly it seems to have a mind of its own, but it hasn't let me astray so far.

In a world where some people can cause explosions practically at will, or turn their body into pure steel, my own powers don’t exactly seem crazy. They’re so basic, at least right now, that most people don’t know I have them.
But that won’t stop me from becoming one of the world’s greatest heroes! (Or villains).
You see, my power isn’t controlling magnetic fields or turning my body into pure fire, it’s a lot more complicated. I… well my entire life functions like a video game. I have quests, an inventory system, even the ability to level up and gain new abilities.
I’m not very strong right now (level 3 isn’t that great), but I’m finally getting to the point where I can actually devote my life to training and getting stronger - assuming these quests actually become doable.
