Vice and Violence - inkybus' inevitable incident [IC]

Fungy snarls launching himself into the battle with gusto, swinging the stone sword at the zombie that attacked him.

Ourglas managed to finish off the zombie that had struck her, just a heartbeat before Saisen forced his own zombie back into stillness, after getting back up from the dirty floor. Lastly, Fungy stepped on the foot of the zombie that attacked him, steadying him for but a moment, before his sword parted the feral undead's head from his shoulders.

Zunn Dehr stepped back and ran his sword through the zombie that was about to retaliate against Grushik, rendering him inert as well, before lashing out with a boot and kicking one of the remaining two undead into the other.

With that, it was easy for the knight to step onto the zombie sprawled over the other and kill them both with thrusts into their ruined faces.

"Looks like these were the last of them. Let's keep going: the exit should not be far."

He took a scrap of cloth hanging from the side of one of the backpacks his skeletons carried and wiped his sword and armor, where blackening blood had soiled him.

Her heart was beating fast but she beamed as the last one fell, despite just how awful the now dismembered rotting corpses were making it smell down here. "Good job, guys! Good to know I can depend on you in a tight spot. Not just my tight spots either," she added with a wink. Her own performance was...not that good, in her judgment. Whatever her life had been before...whatever had gotten her sealed away for over two hundred years, she clearly had not been a warrior.

"Yes, let's get the fuck out of here, please!" She nodded and eagerly took up after Zunn once the knight started moving. She really wanted fresh air. And a bath. And a snack. And to be dicked. Not sure the order she wanted those things, though. And she might be able to two a few at the same time?

Ourglas exhorted her group and Zunn Dehr thus and the untiring knight pressed forward. Step by step, the group went and they could see a light at the end of the slope. Every heartbeat they got closer to the surface, the air became better, less humid and musty.

Finally, the group got to the entrance of the tunnel, with the sun slowly moving towards the horizon, heralding the evening and coming night.

The entrance to the tunnel had been excavated into the dirt, at the foot of a hill that looked over a humble cemetery. Planks of wood and crude metal had been stuck into the ground and some had names carved, etched or engraved on them. A simple iron fence with spikes was erected around the area and at this time the only living being around were bloodsucking insects and the drop-skinks that fed on them.

In the opposite direction of the sun, where Zunn pointed to direct the group's attention, they could see walls the color of the sand- which was mixed in with the dirt around this place it seemed. The grass that grew from the soil and sand seemed to be the hardy kind, that was difficult to weed out.

"The city of Dunhorrin. You will be safe as long as you've got the jade for a room at an inn. Probably."

Behind the walls, the group could see towers and spires rising and covered by pointy domes with a metallic reflection.

Grushik was nearly taken down by the walking corpse, but managed to stay up right. He work of the other group members ensured so. It was embarrassing how much damage one attack did to him. Whatever happened certainly took all of his previous strength. The orc was never the strongest, but not this weak either!

“Well damn….” Grushik doesn’t remember seeing a city so big before! Maybe it’ll come back to him soon? Hopefully.

“What can we do for the Jade if we don’t?”

The armored warrior stared at the city in the distance for a heartbeat longer, then turned and answered the orc.

"Taverns are good to find adventuring, mercenary and bounty hunting gigs, which is a good start. Dunhorrin also has an Arena where warriors can fight and win prizes. Unless I misread what you're about, and you'd rather go for a regular job as a builder, dockworker or some other trade one can learn?"

Looking over the rest of the group, he added: "You could prostitute yourself as well, though you will also have to be mindful of what the law says about it."

Ourglas pursed her full lips. "There were some coins in my pack but I didn't count them. But hey, we'll make it work out!" She clapped her hands together, her assets bouncing dramatically from the movement. "We'll find work or whore ourselves or whatever! And hey, I bet those meaty dicks you boys have will open some doors to us for a night, at least." She liked to think that she could get someone to take her in too, for that matter.

She started forward towards the wall and the spires of Dunhorrin, "C'mon, let's go! We're two hundred years overdue for a brew and a screw!"

Saisen brushes his eyes to get some catacomb dust out of them as they make it back to the surface. It looked the same and yet different from what he could barely remember whisps of. "Yes, I think some leisure is well earned!" He agreed with Ourglass.

Ourglas brought up the point that she did not know how much money she had and the undead knight lowered his hand to a pouch at his waist.

"Since you did help against the ferals down there, I will help you out: this should be enough for a two day stay at a tavern."

And, with that, he took out forty pieces of jade for each member of the group: when the dwarf turned towards the city, the knight waved goodbye, watching the group go as he stood motionless at the entrance of the tunnel opening.

With their coin purses or pouches heavier by forty jade, the group left Zunn Dehr behind: he watched them go, passing by grave marker after decaying grave marker. When they passed the opening in the fence around the graveyard, the knight turned on his heel and walked back the way they came. The skeletons followed.

The dirt road they tread on had some tracks, some recent, some less so but there weren't people on this one yet.

It took a bit, but the road curved and fed out onto the main road: there weren't that many people out either, but there were a few. A group of laborers that returned from the farmsteads the party could make out in the distance, though the setting sun made it a bit tricky, as well as a few women chatting and joking with one another leaving the city and, probably, headed to the very same farmsteads with their own rectangular bamboo-weaved backpacks. They were accompanied by a fierce-looking centaur, with a proportionately-sized two-handed greatsword made of iron at his hip.

The group made it to the gates without any trouble, witnessing as the guards let the half-dozen guys in without hassle: from the way they interacted, it was easy to infer that the returning men were laborers that lived in the city and had gone out to work. For them, however, the guards were more wary.

There were seven guards: two atop the gatehouse and five on the ground, the biggest one a towering orc that was almost seven feet tall, with a huge axe made of iron at his side and a foot long cock silhouetted behind his almost see through loincloth.

But the one that spoke to whoever had stepped up to the gates the closest was a bronze-skinned dwarf with black hair, wrapped head to toe in white cloth, though the bulk of his clothes suggested armor beneath it all, especially giving the metal point sticking out of his turban. At his left hip he held a sharp-looking iron battle axe, while his right had a grappling hook and a length of narrower-than-usual rope. Saisen, Fungy and Ourglas noticed that the tips of the metal grappling hook were incredibly pointy and the edges looked sharp as cooking knives.

"Evenin' theydies and gentlethems: please state your names and the purpose of your stay in Dunhorrin."

To the right from where the dwarf stood, there was a table and a chair, on which a goblin sat and wrote, eyes looking to the group and then down to the paper, repeatedly. Probably their description and names, as well as the stated purpose of visit.

"Thank you, Zunn! You're a sweetheart!" She waved enthusiastically at the knight before she turned back towards the city. "We'll see you in the city sometime, maybe? I'd love to buy you a drink sometime!" She hadn't put together the nature of the somber being that had guided them to this point. To be honest, it was getting further and further from her mind as they drew closer to the city. Who knew what they'd find in there? What things they might do? The people they might meet? And fuck!

Her trotting gait slowed as they passed the group with the centaur, her eyes lingering on him as he went past with the chatting women. Mmm, he looked sort of strange but also damned good! He was one hot hunk of man horse!

She gave the guards at the gatehouse a big grin as her little group was hailed by the weird dwarf wrapped in that white get up. "Hi there!" The boys seemed to be shy all of a sudden, but she didn't mind doing at least most of the talking if they didn't speak up. "I'm Ourglas Figga!" She struck a little pose, sticking her butt out and arching her back. "This here is Saisen, Fungy, and Grushik," she gestured to each of the others as she spoke their names. "Aren't they studs? As far as our purpose..." She pursed her lips and then shrugged, causing her ample bosom to rise and fall dramatically. "We're here to find work and try to make some connections, really. Are there other questions? I really want to see the city!"

For a moment, she'd considered mentioning that they were amnesiacs who wanted to figure out what the hell the world was after two hundred years in some kind of hibernation, but then decided against it. That was the kind of thing that she felt might make a guard suspicious. "Oh, are there any places you'd suggest we check out? You guys have to know this place like the head of your cock, right? Or the folds of your pussy?" Mm, this metaphor is kind of falling apart on me."

Ourglas engaged the mouthpiece of the guard detail amiably and her dwarf counterpart smiled in a friendly manner: he approved of her friendliness, it seemed.

"Ourglas, Saisen, Fungy and Grushik: did I get that correctly?"

The goblin wrote down the names and a few details on the parchment, it seemed.

"Welcome to Dunhorrin. I would ask if you carried any illegal drugs and or foodstuffs, but not this time. Maybe next time."

He listened to her own curious question and chuckled a little. "I suggest you check out the local inn, called Lazy 'nn-out. It's the most affordable and closest inn you'll find, if you walk along the main street for a bit."

The guardsman smoothed his black beard with his free hand a bit, as he thoughtfully spoke up once again: "More importantly, you will want to avoid the Wizard Towers in the center of town, among the mansions of the ruling houses: the big hats have the temper of a particularly irritable Trogre if you get in their way somehow. Avoid the old wizards if you can."

It looked like it bore repeating, but after that, the guardsman stepped aside, gesturing that the group was free to walk in.

“That’s correct.” Grushik gives a nod as to confirm his name to the guards.

Avoid the wizards, huh? The orc mentally understood why one would warn them. Wizards are usually a temperamental bunch. Many assume controlling the arcane forces of the world meant they have greater power over others. Many never have a plan after getting a sword or axe through their face.

“Thank you.” He nods to the guards before entering the city. The little clothing he had on allowed his long cock to swing like a pendulum. Nearly in full view as he walks down the Main Street and takes in the sights.

"Yes, I'm Saisen." He said with a nod, still rubbing and stretching a few kinks out of his body as they stood there and were advised where to go and not go in the town. The dragonkin frowned as they were told that the wizards in town were quite cantankerous, he'd have liked to see if he could learn more magic from them. It felt like he used to know more, or perhaps his body had, and wanted to regain lost power. Given that no one else seemed upset by this revelation, he kept to himself for now.

He also nodded his thanks, round ass swaying as he followed Grushik into town.

"Sounds like the wizards' witches all left them, eh?" Fungy joked wriggling his eyebrows suggestively. "I don't know about the lot of you, but I am ready to eat, drink and be merry since we didn't die today." Fungy was not paying full attention to the conversation eyeing the women that passed by. "I don't suppose you fellas know of any ways to make a bit of coin around, preferably from an extremely tall woman with a large problem that can be solved by an extremely short man with a surprisingly big cock?"

"Hah! You're like as not to be right, there." One of the humans chortled from the side, after hearing Fungy's jest at the old mages' expense.

The dwarf shook his head in good humor and then replied, with a nod after a moment of thought: "Off the top of my head, I know of the arena, the bounty hunter board at the main public square and the standing bounty of the swamp faelings."

As they talked, high up in the sky, the moons could be made out better. The orbiting planar entities still had, two hundred years later, the moon things wriggling and writhing on them, just as the whole group remembered them. The so-called 'gods', of bygone ages, always were good for a laugh.

“Standing bounty of swamp faelings?” Grushik stop to ask. “What exactly is that all about?”

"A half dozen leagues north-west of the city, there's a swamp that has folk that live under the control of some fae creature. They always were tetchy, but in the past few years they became aggressive: now we have to constantly worry about raids from there- which is why the church and the great houses 'ave put together a bounty on them."

The guard told Grushik.

"You can check the bounty board in the main town square for all the reward details. But, between us, you oughta get better gear before heading into the swamp. As you are, you're probably just going to end up as a seedbed for a kinsnare-vine or worse."

“Interesting. Guess I’ll have to go check it out.” He decided before going to find the bounty board to get more information, for later. Still need to get better gear and money. His rough hand cupping a full cheek of Saisen‘s bubbly ass while walking forward.

"So we need to make money in some other way first, huh?" She tipped her head to one side as the boys, as she'd started to think of them, talked to the guards. The bounty they were talking about sounded promising to make some coin. But then again, if they wouldn't be able to handle it with their current great, they'd need to find other work in the meantime.

"But yeah, I'm with you, Fungy! Let's get a place to eat, drink, and screw! We haven't done any of those things in two hundred years! We got to get our pipes cleared out, right?"

With permission to enter, the group set foot on the main thoroughfare of town. There were streets to either side, going along the walls, but they were obviously not the main road given how wide it was. Because of the time, there were not as many people bustling around as there were during the day, but there were at least thirty in just the next two hundred metres.

The buildings flanking the main road had been built with sandstone bricks and had flat roofs, with a waist-high wall around them, too: it was clear by the signs of another set of roof on the roof, that the top of the buildings were accessible from below and acted as balconies too. On more than one, the group spotted and was seen in turn by some resident resting their weary bones, leaning with their arms on the wall and letting time pass by, people-watching.

Despite the colorful appearance of the group and how disparate their species were, the residents did not glare or frown: curiosity was the main expression one could make out from the people that noticed the group. It seemed that, at least in Dunhorrin, they would not face discrimination from most people.

One of the residents, a slightly scarred, grey-haired alloyan stared as the group drew his attention. He could not pry his eyes off of Ourglas' tits and ass, it seemed, and he leaned a bit further over the wall as they passed. He wore a wizard's hat and he had rings all over his fingers, though they weren't of gold or silver, mostly.

Similarly, not too far away, a thick-bodied dragonkin was people watching from a window higher up, on the first floor. It seemed that she was also people-watching and, much like the old-timer, she couldn't take her eyes off of Grushik, as the group neared the window she was leaning on.

As the group walked along, they were able to spot the sign of the Lazy 'nn-out, on the right hand side of the street. However, if Grushik wanted to check out the bounty board set up at the main square, he'd have to keep going on the main street for a bit, before diverting at the fork that could lead to the town center…

She followed along with her...friends? Maybe? Comrades? It was hard to pin down a word for people that you were somehow and mysteriously intimately connected with yet didn't know. Like, at all. Of course, she didn't even really know herself. Remembering their names was a pretty big thing for them all given how much everything else was just a blank. If those are actually their names. She was...pretty sure of hers?

The platinum blonde looked around as they walked, pleased that no one seemed to be giving them the side eye. They were getting some attention, but maybe that was just because they were an odd group or something? Curiosity was the main expression on people's faces that actually paid attention to them. Maybe people watching was a big thing in Dunhorrin.

She felt eyes on her then. Not just a curious gaze but something more intense. Her pale red eyes looked to her right to see a scarred man with grey hair looking at her intently. Parts of her, anyway. Not that she could blame them! She thought her its and ass were pretty damn great, though maybe she was biased. She smiled slyly and lifted a hand to wave at him and blew a kiss his way. "Hiii!" He had a wizard hat and the guards had said to avoid the wizards, hadn't they? But if she could get on the good side of one, then that would be a different story. Right? Whether it would be good or not, she was enjoying the attention. She called up to him, "We're staying at Lazy'nn-out! Come on over and get a closer look if you want! Maybe more if you play your cards right!"

She beamed at the alloyan before picking her steps up a bit to catch up with the boys, her breasts and buttocks bouncing even more from the more rapid movement. The dwarf nudged her orc buddy with an elbow lightly and then indicated the dragonkin woman watching Grushik. "Big Green, look up there. That lady's practically eye fucking you. Want me to tell her to come to the inn for the real deal?"

It’s weird seeing all the different people eyeing their little crew. Is it truly strange to see so many different people together? Grushik never went with too many different species, back in his time, but it couldn’t be that strange. Right? He concluded its not something to get worked up over and focus on finding the inn. No one is bothering them.

“Yes. I can see her. My eyes work.” Grushik said to the loud girl as they walked by. A part of him annoyed for the woman calling out to the stranger. They don’t know anyone’s intentions. But looking up to see the dragonkin made his desires stronger.

Maybe he’s over thinking it?

The orc waved up to the woman, giving a toothy smile, and pointing at the inn. With the message given, he goes to get them a room.
