Are multiple characters ok?

I love making ocs and getting to see them come to life while role-playing. I just wanted to know if making another account for a designated character is ok?

Per Site Rules:

8. One member is allowed up to three (3) accounts in total. This includes both accounts that are active and those that have been withdrawn - once you have made 3 accounts you may not create more, no matter their status. Members with more than 3 accounts that do not meet this criteria are grandfathered in.

On the other side of the question, is it ok to have multiple characters played from one central account? I wasn't necessarily planning to create a separate account for each variation I might eventually play on here.

In short, yes.

Multiple characters are a good way to keep the story moving. If the world consists of YC, MC, and a bunch of NPCs, it might be a bit stale. Too often is a story treated like the only two people in the world are our two characters.

An additional character could come with values. Someone who is core to the story at some point, someone who is supportive in some way. An adversary, etc.

I usually write 6-12 characters one or two of them being "important" and one being the main central character.
