Mugen (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

She tried to push herself up enough to look. It was swollen to the size of a grapefruit; it was horribly bruised and mangled, and she couldn't feel anything. She couldn't even wiggle her toes.
"Terrible," she answered honestly, "if I don't take care of it, I might have to amputate my foot..."

Sanemi’s eyes flicked over the mangled limb, and for a moment he didn’t respond even at the idea of her losing a foot. If they had to amputate, it would ensure she could never escape again.
“I’ll bring a surgeon.” He decided, meeting her gaze again. “I won’t let you lose your foot, Yu.” He said gently. “Do you think you can manage the kid?” The demon child hadn’t dared to try and flee- they had already learned who of them was faster, sitting stiffly a ways away from Yuko.

He gave a firm nod while he worked over how he was going to get a doctor- no, a surgeon would be better suited for the level of injury her leg now had. He left without another word, leaving Yuko alone with the demon child, who stared silently at her with sharp eyes.

He flinched at the sound of Yuko’s voice, almost like he had been startled back to attention. “Don’t remember it.” He answered cautiously- it was the truth, he hardly remembered anything, the memory of his name and even his parents completely gone.

“What are you supposed to be?” He asked. “My Onee-san, or food?” His tone was like a blade, like he was trying to size Yuko up.

She frowned and exhaled softly through her nose.
"I don't taste very good," she replied, "besides, if you ate me Sanemi would take your head. He's very protective, circumstances not withstanding..." She tried to get comfortable but it was difficult.
"I don't have to be your onee-san, and you don't have to see me that way if you don't want to. But he won't take care of you, so I'm most likely your best bet at a comfortable life here. Or whatever semblance of comfortable I can give you."

Her words seemed to make him ponder her point, pursing his lips as he mulled it over. He certainly didn’t want to die, and if she was going to taste bad anyway..
“What am I supposed to do then?” He asked bluntly, head tilting a bit as he frowned, sharp teeth peeking out.

"Um..." She tried to roll over, wincing at her ankle and ultimately deciding on staying where she was, "are you hungry...? I could ask Sanemi to get you food when he comes back...? I would do it but I can't move, as you can see. As long as you don't leave the house, I'm sure you can look around? If you don't mind carrying me a little, i can come with you? Aside from that, the most entertainment I can provide you is storytelling or origami if we can find some paper.." She offered a sheepish smile; she seemed to be trying her best, all things considered. Like despite being human and pretty broken, she wanted to care for him in some capacity.
