(Reboot) The Cavern (LunarWolf and Guardian Angel)

Caera was just waiting and watching, hopefully he wouldn't do anything to reckless to get their attention though. Honestly if they could avoid a fight at that point in time, that would probably be for the best.

Some of the men were leaving the camp to go and check it out, while others were taking to scouting the edge of the campsite. Caera stayed hidden and when the coast was clear she was slipping off towards the tent, and peeking in. Nobody there. With that she was going into the tent and going over to the crying baby. "Shh shh." she was whispering as she was picking him and gently rocking him to help soothe him. Although getting out was going to be the hard part... unless she just ran for it.

Caera was cautiously moving towards the tent flap, hearing somebody mumble that the damn baby must have fallen asleep. With that she was peeking through the crack and it seemed like the coast was clear. But it was still a gamble regardless. One that she had to chance to be able to get out. So she was wrapping her cloak around the young prince in a manner of making a sling so that he was craddled snuggly and securely to her chest and soon enough she was slipping out. Nope she seemed to be in the clear but sadly enough it seemed like she was spotted. Caera did what she figured that Grant would expect her to do.... and that was run. She was evading being grabbed and just bolting, getting the infant held to her despite the sling being there.

"Damn it! Somebody catch that fucking woman!" Grant would hear a man yelling, which would definitely tell him that Caera had been spotted but she had managed to get away.

Caera was just skirting around a tree to avoid a man almost slashing at her with his sword, although he could hear screams of pain from people as they were cut down by Grant. Soon enough she was getting to her feet so that she could start moving again, keep moving. Although what might have Grant's heart stopping a bit was her seeing an arrow come out of nowhere and striking her, and her going down. Granted it was in the shoulder but the impact was enough to cause her to stumble and fall. But she was falling in a way that the baby was still cradled safely in her arms, not even seeming to be joustled at all. And the arrow hadn't been a through and through before, put her falling was definitely resulting in that happening. A different cry of pain coming from her from when she had been first hit.

Grant raced to her side and then helped her up "we have to keep moving" Grant knew she was in a lot of pain but there was only him and still several more of them. while he could take them down he didn't want her at risk not since she had the baby

Even before he had come over, Caera had been working on getting to her feet. A little more difficult why trying to not jostle the baby too much. "I know..." she was breathing after a moment in time, just pushing through the pain at the time. No they just had to at least get to their horses and if anything... get back to Caly and Vincent's kingdom, as it was closest. There they could get help.

They were finding the horses and thankfully they had managed to lose the people who had been tracking them. But they were definitely going to find them again especially with the baby crying again, or start too. Thankfully Caera was able to help calm him pretty quickly but not quick enough.

The palace was coming into sight although there were some guards that were yelling at them to halt, just doing their jobs. Having not recognized them from the distance. Caera was just breathing through the pain at that point in time, and most definitely struggling to stay conscious. But she couldn't collapse yet. Not until they were safe.

This definitely had the guards confused but some of them were rushing forwards anyways, more confused about the comment of the prince. Yet again the baby was hidden in Caera's arms at that point in time, and while they were close to the palace they were still in danger. One of the other men, a man who lead with Grant was gone was roaring at some of the men to protect the woman, easily figuring it out.

One of the men that was loyal to him was actually coming up next to Caera and speaking in a gentle voice, "Welcome home, Miss Caera." With that he was actually very carefully helping her off of the horse, a couple of men with shields moving between her and the open at the time. No he was going to prioritize getting her and the infant into the palace at that point in time.

when the men drew close the soldiers who were watching got to see why he was a general. Grant moved fast but with grace that came from years of practice and he took the men out one at a time while dodging being hit

There were a number of other soldiers that were entering the fray, other than those that were going with his trusted right hand who was making sure that Caera and the baby got within the palace safely. Especially with how unsteady she was on her feet at the time, and she was refusing to let just anybody take the baby.

once all but one of the men were dead Grant turned and headed to the castle leaving the guards to deal with the man. Grant needed to check on Caera and Archer as well as the baby

Caera was absolutely refusing to let anybody taking the infant from her, at least not until it was somebody that she absolutely trusted. The child's nanny who just looked more than relieved. All the moment that the infant was safely in her arms is when Caera seemed to be collapsing. This is definitely how Grant would know that Archer was alright, hearing his voice. "Mom!"
