Caly was just looking towards him before she was speaking, "War was declared on our allies it seems. But yes General Azalea confirmed who the enemy was herself as well."
Grant sent word through maids to all the generals to meet in the war room he then looked at her "you go and rest with your husband we will plan and fill you in once we have some plans"
Hayden would find Abby laying in her bed curled up like a ball silently crying
"Perhaps we should have a meeting with the generals of Hayden's kingdom as well." one of the generals was suggesting. There was another that was commenting that he didn't think that they should meet with them, not thinking that they would be much help. One that didn't know that Grant was a former general from there.
"Well from what I hear their head general is a woman. What does a woman know about war." the general was commenting. The only general that seemed to be even against Caly being apart of the war council - but kept his title because he was a talented warrior and knew how to lead the soldiers. But he was definitely a very old school person not believing that a woman could be a warrior as well.
"I personally served with general Azalea and she is the one who took down the mad king in the last war so please tell me how you think that she isn't worthy of her title"
"It is true, she did it herself." one of the other generals was commenting - having gone there as well. Although he was a general who had been promoted by Grant himself after the war with the mad king - considering he had been there assisting Azalea.
"we will confirm with King Haydens Generals as well but it is not wise for them to leave the kingdom right now" Grant didn't want to put the kingdom at risk
This had the other generals giving nods although it wasn't long before Caly seemed to come striding into the room, her skirts swishing around her feet.
Caly was going to rest with her husband if it hadn't been for the annoying messenger that had shown up from the kingdom that had declared war on Hayden. The messenger had shown up to bring and offer to them about how if they surrendered their kingdom to him, that they would be spared.
"A messenger showed up from the opposing kingdom and gave us an alternative. We surrender to them and we will be spared." Caly was speaking after a moment in time although she still seemed troubled. Perhaps because of the side message that she had been given by the messenger before she had told the guards to drag him to the dungeons. "We have a spy within our kingdom...." she was speaking in a low voice. There was no other way that the opposing king would have known that she was with child otherwise. Truth being that the general who was so opposed to woman being warriors happened to be the spy that was being talked about - not that it would be figured out. Or he didn't think it would. Yet again none of the others were told by Caly quite yet why she thought that. He was just questioning what on earth could have her thinking that.
