"Alright, fine we can go skinny dipping, but its our secret." He said to her in a hushed voice. Deep inside his mind there was a voice screaming that he should know better. That his niece had been abused and it was wrong of him to put himself in this situation but he knew that if he could get her to trust he could slowly help her move on to more healthy relationships. "Darlin its sweet of you to say and I wanna spend time with you as well." He replied before adding. "But it isn't right for you to sacrifice your happiness for me, you're a young lady, I know boys, and clothes and such mean a lot to your age. I think you'll find life out here pretty nice...we have ponies." He added playfully. "Every girl loves ponies, and cute baby animals, and fresh fruit." He said with a slight laugh before he took her hand as he led her from the truck toward the dinner. "The days seem a bit longer than the hectic city life, the night sky is brighter. Nothing quite like laying out in the grass and seeing the stars spread out before you." He said as he held her hand and swung it gently as they walked. "What am I doin you're grown now I shouldn't be holdin your hand like you're a kid." He said as he began to release it.
He chuckled at her reply to the date comment before he stroked her head softly. "Heh I think every girls first date should be with her father figure, you know show her proper etiquette and how a lady should be treated." He said to her with a slight laugh. "But no drinking or staying out past ten." He added as he opened the door. "Greta!" He called out before he gently whisked Callie into a booth.
A straight haired woman in a black dress wearing an apron came from behind the counter to their table. Her hair silver and pulled back except for a few strays here and there. Her face was somewhat drawn but she had few wrinkles and smiled broadly at Callie. "Oh my Jonas, got yourself a little girlfriend, and what a beauty she is. You two have similar eyes though so I'm going to assume she's your niece, and if she's not.You scoundrel..but I won't tell" The woman teased before she extended her hand winking at Callie. "I'm Greta and you are dear?"
