LFG for Shonen Inspired Squad RP [4/4]

Hello! With the monstrous success of my last thread in this section, pun intended, I have decided to make another! For this one I was hoping to do a shonen styled setting where our characters would all be part of a squad together similar to the squads from Naruto, with one teacher and three students. I am however no looking for this to be a fandom roleplay. That being said, that means we will likely have to flesh out the setting and how the powers work together but I have confidence that we will be able to work out something that we can all get on board with c:

Some other things to keep in mind. I want this roleplay to take place over Conversation. This has been successful with my other group roleplay and so I think it is worth emulating with this one as well. Secondly I am personally only comfortable with MxF, FxF, FxFuta relationships though am open to any other two partners engaging with whatever sort of relationship they are interested in. Anything else can be negotiated I think.

I am indeed! As you can see, there hasn't been much interest though so I am not sure that we can expect to start anything quickly. In the meantime I would be more than willing to hear any thoughts you might have on such an idea though c:
 
Depending on what sort of powers/shenanigans/etc are involved I could be interested in this.
 
As far as story elements go? Nothing comes to immediate mind. I tend to prefer playing m or NBf (IE: futa) characters opposite ladies, but I can also play female opposite those characters as well. Overall my limits are pretty narrow but large, and follow the same sort of things most people do. Excessive gore, toiletplay, etc.

That all sounds good to me but you mentioned powers in your original post. Was there anything there that you would prefer to avoid? Or anything you specifically looking to include?
 
In terms of my preferences I would prefer to be a student, would be down for any time period, although preference would tend to be close to modern day in terms of technology and general vibe with it being a bit futuristic or more akin in terms of technology to the recent past. Ideas of the top of my head are some time of mutants with powers? Maybe demi gods akin to Percy Jackson or the TTRPG Scion...or if you want something a bit weird and a bit different maybe something akin to the setting of the ttrpg slugblaster?

Right! Sorry, wasn't sure what ya meant. For powers though admittedly I am drawing a blank but I have thought the idea of light transformation elements could be interesting but far fro the only thing that piques my fancy.

IE: Transformation in the style of magical girl/kamen/tokusatsu style stuff or the likes.

Sounds good, not the thing I've most familiar with, last thing I saw with that was original power rangers in the 90s but can give it ago.
 
To be honest, I am not the most versed in it myself but I have always liked the aesthetic. Do we want to have our characters be part of the same group like a Power Rangers styled thing or have them be individuals in a world where people get either a magical girl transformation or a power suit transformation?
 
I can go either way, but usually I feel people probably prefer more individuality over a group theme.

One can agree to that, if one feels similarly.

I think it'd be neat to have some combining feature-say, circumstances that forced the group together, even if normally they wouldn't be as one.

I think that would be the setting itself, with some sort of organization overseeing all the various magical people and organizing them into the four person cells at the heart of the idea c:
 
I think the question then is how do people get transformation powers if there is a organisation that gathers them up? Must be somewhat random.
 
Yeah, I was thinking it would be pretty random c:

There or course could be exceptions to the rule though if any of you had any specific ideas in mind. Like I could see some powers being capable of being passed on intentionally, to be the result of some sort of science experiment or invention to tap into the magical energy allowing the transformations to happen at all, etc.

Really our only limit is our imaginations c:
 
What kind of PCs were being thought of?

And Bonnibel, you mentioned doing this via Conversations instead of a thread, right? Should that be made now, or should we wait?
 
I have an idea for a magical girl squad member and a more power ranger-esque male instructor, so am willing to play either based on what everyone else wants to play.

As for the conversation, I figure we'll have one for ooc and one for ic. We can throw up profiles at the top of the ic for easy reference. That's how my other group RP works and its still going strong c:
 
I have some potential ideas, I think. Maybe! Are we limited to one character?

@Revelations Not if you don't want to be. I figure the mains will be the core four though, unless you want to make two characters who are effected by the same powers like twins or something and so they can both be on the same team out of necessity or something.

Understood! I will think on characters some more. From what I'm feeling (Which I admittedly could be incorrect one), the group seems to be more male heavy so I am probably gong to try and counteract that a smidge.
