To say that Setsuna was surprised to find himself where he was would be quite the understatement. His life had taken more than a few turns and twists and yet it had led him to quite a place. When he was 18 he had been arrested for stealing. And breaking and entering. And a few other minor charges that got downgraded because he hadn't really had much else to go on. Working with the Kumakura's had come with some benefits but once their leadership started getting too dark for his own taste he split. Work wasn't the easiest to come by, he knew that thanks to his friend Lien who was in the same boat, but he was going to make something of himself. Rather than relying on his thieving skills he decided to take up some private detective work. I wasn't fancy and it didn't start easy but he was working following cheating spouses and other people who were doing things that someone just wnated confirmed. Nothing criminal, usually, but it was honest work. It kept his brain engaged most of the time at least so he didn't go mad.
Then he'd gotten an invitation to Lien's wedding. The guy had helped spoil a plot to plague Japan or something and he was there. He was one of the groomsmen so he had to wear a suit, which he was not fond of, and make nice with people. The strangest part was finding out that the woman who had helped arrest him, Mizuki Kuranushi, was there to serve as the maid of honor. Even stranger was that she had a younger twin sister. The logic in that made his head spin but there was no hard feelings on his part. His arrest had gotten him back on his feet in a way that didn't have him beholden to yakuza who, these days, were mostly idol fans. And also attended the wedding.
Now he was sitting in his apartment, which was decent spacious and well decorated with as much as a PI could really afford, sitting at the dinner table with a homecooked meal he'd put together himself with Mizuki Date and Mizuki Kuranushi at the table. Bibi, as Mizuki Date called her, was now his coworker since he'd just been officially hired as the newest agent of ABIS. It was a very strange place to be in but he couldn't be happier. Even above that, however, he was happy to be sitting next to Mizuki whom he'd hit it off with at the wedding and now, a few months later, he was dating much to the chagrin of Bibi. He didn't want to call her Quartz, she didn't like that, and calling her Mizuki felt odd. So would calling her Bibi so for the most part he just called her Kuranushi since it was about the only thing he could think of.
"Well, now I'm officially part of ABIS," he said raising his glass "so I'm happy to join you and I am incredibly terrified of what Date and Boss have in store for me. Please pray for my safety."
He chuckled a little as he looked to Mizuki. To be fair, he'd been interested in her right away. She was cheerful with just the right amount of dry wit that he appreciated. The fact that she could level a tree with one kick and could beat multiple armed thugs with nothing but a metal pipe was just an amazing bonus. He was a lucky man and he knew that. Sitting at the table with them dressed in a button-up shirt he'd worn to the meeting where he was officially introduced and slacks that were just a little too long much to his annoyance he looked out of sorts. He had a lean frame with his muscle mostly being built for running, jumping, and staying the hell out of trouble or sight. Shaking his head Setsuna nodded.
"I look forward to learning from both of you," he said then paused "all three of you. Apologies, without you being in your body Miss Aiba it's still something I'm getting used to."
