Regarding male/male, I'm really only talking about the gender of the characters. If you want a character to be a transguy or a genderqueer male, female, intersex person, go right ahead. Likewise, if you got a transwoman, while we can call her biological sex 'male' I'm probably not going to wanna RP opposite her. Yeah?

I don't think it's awesomeness, mrow, I think it's that most slashers have more sense than to play Fallout.

All right!

Well, in WWII I know more about the Pacific theatre than the rest (though Turing slash might rock my boat). Occupation era Japan tends to be rather depressing, as I prefer a bomb-survivor.

The sixties is fun because there's all sorts of protesting and drug use and, of course, the Wild West has, you know, cowboys and Indians (I really need to watch more spaghetti Westerns).

Well, any ideas along those lines?

Like I said, for the sixties there's several sorts of protests: Civil Rights, Free Speech, anti-Vietnam War along with the beginning/resurgance of LGBT rights groups.

And, as I said, the Wild West has several rather stereotypical stories that can be tweaked: heading out West, general outlaw-sheriff interactions, etc.

Maybe....Cop/Hippie or something like that, for the Wild West...umm Cowboy/Indian, Outlaw/Sheriff, or Customer/Rentboy.

well for the 60's a Hippie attracts the attention of a cop, who sees that the young man sells himself as a prostitute every now and then and he decides that he wants to black mail the hippie.

For the Wild West that could go a few ways depending on the pairing.

Cowboy/Indian: A young indian is hurt and lost, he stumbles onto a camp of cowboys, who are all for killing him, but one in charge decides that he wants to help him.

Outlaw/Sheriff: A sheriff gets caught by the outlaw that he was after and finds himself going thinks he never thought that he would be doing.

Customer/Rentboy: Not to sure about the plot for this one...maybe a young man who's low on money decides to become a rent boy, only giving handjobs and blowjobs till one customer comes in wanting a bit more.

The first Wild West one would probably be interesting since neither of them would be able to communicate with each other outside of a few words. Though it'd be difficult to keep interest up since it'd be mostly interaction based.

Well, yes, of course. And there can be a lot of that 'if I talk louder, maybe he'll understand me' going on.

But that won't last long story wise, I imagine.

No, I just can't think of how to keep such an RP interesting for long (perhaps because I've been playing more dystopian futures and sci-fi lately). The idea could be problematic.
