A Babysitter at my age? (continued from the last BM)

He kissed her and smiled at her"Do you think we should be getting dressed?"

 

[Candira]

"Probably," she groaned. "I should be getting home soon."

He kissed her"I'll miss you"he said and hugged her

 

[Candira]

She kissed him back and hugged him as well. "I'll miss you too, hun. I'll call you later, okay?" She smiled at him and waited for an answer, and also for him to move.

He got off of her and kissed her"Okay. I love you"he said and got dressed, smiling

 

[Candira]

When she was dressed again in all of her clothes, she kissed him one more time and then headed out of his house. "I love you too, James," she said before walking out of the door and heading home. She wasn't past curfew yet, but she knew she wasn't supposed to be out quite so late without calling, so she dialed the home phone.

He was getting worried about her and was about to call her when she called"Claire? are you okay?"He asked, concern in his voice

 

[Candira]

"I'm fine dad. I'm sorry I didn't call sooner. The time got away from me."

Henry smiled"It's okay. Hurry up and get home for dinner"he said

 

[Candira]

"I'll be there in just a bit," she said, hanging up. In a few moments she was back in the house, announcing her arrival as she kicked off her shoes. She quickly went into the bathroom on the first floor and rubbed some of her scented lotion on her stomach and arms before coming back out and giving her dad a hug. "Hi guys. What's for dinner tonight?"

Henry smiled as she came in"Dinner's in the kitchen"he said and hugged her when she came down"Steak and potatoes"he said"How was your day?"

 

[Candira]

"Sounds good, dad," she said. "My day was fun. What about yours?" she asked with a smile.

"Mine was boring"he said and ate"What all did you do?"

 

[Candira]

"I took my walk and got lunch with Jess. We were watching a movie at her place and we got to talking. I didn't realize how late it was until I started heading back." She smiled softly and dug into her food, starving.

He looked at her, not sure if she was telling the truth

 

[Candira]

"So what made your day so boring?" she asked, eating her meal politely.

He ate"Work was uneventful and there was nothing on tv"

 

[Candira]

She frowned softly. "Are you okay, dad? you seem upset."

He nodded and yawned"I'm fine. Just worried about you"

 

[Candira]

"You don't have to worry so much, dad," she said with a little smile. "If it'll make you feel better, I'll call more often while I'm out. How's that?"

He smiled at that"That would make me feel better"

 

[Candira]

"Then it's settled. I will call more often." she smiled at him and finished up her dinner, feeling full. "It was really good dad. Hey, when's mom getting back from her trip, again? I know she told me but I don't remember if it's this weekend or next weekend."

Henry stood up when he finished and put the dishes in the sink"Next weekend"He said and started to wash the dishes

 

[Candira]

"Okay, that's what I thought, but I didn't want to be like 'what are you doing here?' if she was supposed to be back," she said with a little chuckle. "Do you want any help with dishes?"

He chuckled at that and shook his head"Nah, I got it"He said, finishing the dishes
