"Behold, could ye suppose that ye could sit upon your thrones, and because of the exceeding goodness of God ye could do nothing and he would deliver you? Behold, if ye have supposed this ye have supposed in vain."
The Book of Mormon, Alma 60:11

he must die
He must die.
He. Must. Die.
…
He will die.
Twenty years separate them from their home - twenty years and untold trillions of miles, such a vastness of time and space that their memories have slipped into vapor, the fires and camps and mountains of corpses begging to be forgotten. It would be so easy to let it all slip in a haze of morphine and memory repressment treatments; to play their part in this hell that will, in time, put an end to itself.
But they don't. Because, once He does die, they want to be there to see it. God hadn't delivered them from their family's deaths only to be a witness.
...
He must die.

Howdy. I'm looking for a GM interested in a story told through the point of view of an unlikely location; a survivor of Exterminatus, a survivor whose world went unknown for thousands of years to the Imperium and developed xenohpiliac, multicultural qualities in their society. The Imperium's arrival heralded an inhumane and horrific end to it, but not without discovering the existence of a descendant of a Rogue Trader dynasty. Due to their relative youth and prestige, it was decided that their mind was mutable enough to be saved, being given over to their family (with extensive oversight) after an onslaught of indoctrination and reeducation to rebuild them.
Unbeknownst to all of them, the orphan in question remembers everything, and has fanned a hatred for the Imperium and its racist lapdogs for decades.
This RP follows an entirely hypothetical but potentially completely different story to Owlcat's Rogue Trader. If my GM wants to do a fairly faithful retelling of the original game, that's fine by me. If they want to do their own thing from top to bottom? That's chill too.
It is my intention to have a more grounded and active exploration of the management of the Rogue Trader's territories. Politics, finances, trade, war, so on.
