She was intelligent, longing to extricate herself from life at home to go out and explore the secrets of nature. No other woman, except a select few from her country of Italy, had ever intended to go off into the African jungle. Her desire to first hand experience Africa's wildlife was something she so craved to satiate. She doubted she would ever feel enough upon arriving there. Who was this woman? None other then Adelina di Tulluis. The young woman was the age of twenty-two. Her hair a dark, silky brown, reaching her shoulder blades, her eyes a light hazel, her skin a faint touch of bronze, smooth and light. Many know her as to be lovely, especially with the suitors that have requested her hand in marriage. Adelina would kindly reply with a no, since she wished to focus on her field of work first before settling down.

She had left her home several days ago, her things packed into a ship to head towards Africa. Everything seemed to run smoothly, up until there was disagreeable weather. A rough storm of thunder, rain and lightening threatened the traveling crew and guests. It shook the boat, rocking it with a groan, and threatening to throw people off board.

"Miss di Tulluis! Please head inside!" cried a crew member as he rushed to try and keep the boat steady. Unfortunately, the boat rocked once with such strength, she slid towards the edge of the boat, fighting to hold on and pull off. Several waves smashed against the young woman that desperately tried to hold on until it was no longer possible, and she fell into sea. Adelina knew how to swim, yet fighting against these waves seemed futile, because as soon as she reached the surface to gasp a breath, the waves took her under greedily once more, seeming to enjoy the young woman's attempt at remaining alive. Slowly, but surely, Adelina di Tulluis lost consciousness, the sea drifting her further and further away from the boat, but onto the shore of Africa's Eastern coastline.

The Sun was shining on the white beach that washed up the poor lady. The sky wasn't as dark as it used to be was now light and shining. A boy now around the age of 18 was climbing through the trees as he heard the sounds of many other animals wondering what had washed up along the beach. He noticed that some of the predators had become to come out for an easy meal of the other animals and this new stranger that had come. He growled and held the spear before jumping to the closest tree and gave out a warning to them to back away.

The young woman was still completely soaked by sea water, her body lifeless, and pretty motionless except for her light breathing. Her eyes were closed, her expression rather peaceful.

A jaguar growled ferociously at the boy that had chosen to keep him from eating his easy meal, and crouched into a low position, tail whipping behind him, sharp teeth bared, ears flat against its skull.

The boy watched the woman laying on the beach. He sighed then looked at the jaguar on the beach and growled back. He knew who this jaguar was. He was one of the minor level hunters for the pack just opposite of his parents. He growled and held the spear above his head ready to throw it at him when needed. He also had a small knife he had fashioned attached to his leg for a quick retrieval. Other Animals came out from the jungle to watch the two wondering who would loose.

The Jaguar hissed bitterly, circling the man slightly, body taut and poised, ready to throw himself at the human boy that was apart of their small family of jaguars. [Jaguars are normally solitary, I know, but we'll just let that slide for now. xD] He growled and lunged at the boy, claws extended to attack.

[They are and its not really like a pack, more just like he is the main of a small group, and the boy only has his mother jaguar, but as for pack mentality they are really hunt for themselves but if you've seen there are pictures of many jaguars in low laying trees together] The boy watched and held the spear before jumping down and landing on the ground and walked over to the lady and held his spear, shifting from pointing at her then to pointing at the other jaguar saying for him to still back off as he went to investigate who this new creature was. [we're both messed up the jaguar isnt even around Africa, the Leopard is]

[Whoops, I'm thinking of leopards... they are the ones in Africa. xD Jaguar's mostly around South and Central America... whatever though.]

The jaguar, gazed at the boy for a long time before he gave in. The male walked off into the forest, laying his head low as he stalked off.

Just as this happened, there was a stir from the young woman that lay unconscious. She stirred, wincing softly to herself as she moved a bit. Her eyes slowly blinked open. She instinctively rubbed them, finding them a little irritated from the sea water. Adelina sighed softly before slowly sitting up. Her eyes widened slightly as she caught sight of the boy holding a spear. She gasped and inched back a bit, gazing at him cautiously. He looked rather... odd... She looked around out of the corner of her mouth before they returned back to the boy. "What... is your name?" she asked softly.

The boy watched her and tilted his head holding the spear, letting off a soft growl in the back of his throat as she slowly came around. He then looked back into the jungle as she looked up at him and started talking. He didn't understand her at first because. This was his first encounter with another creature that looked similar to himself but something wasn't right, she wasn't like him in some aspect. "N..N?" He tried to mimic what she said to him.

Adelina had expected a response from him, though really didn't receive one. She arched a brow, examining the young man's facial features as she tried to speak to him. Perhaps he didn't understand her? Adelina hesitated, but slowly stood as she did, shakily doing so. Her dress was still damp, her legs barely able to hold her weight. She coughed slightly, "Do... you... understand?" she spoke slowly, earnestly trying to communicate with him.

The boy watched her and moved back still holding the spear. "un..unders...understand?" He tilted his head and pointed the spear at her then watched her. Other animals had gathered around but they kept a fair distance away from the pair knowing that when Jon held the spear it always meant that something had gone wrong or would be in a short matter of time. He looked her and her dress then to himself. (can think of a good name so i'll just take it from you)

She was relieved he managed to repeat what she said... but that didn't mean he could speak more then that. Adelina bit her lower lip, glancing about at the various animals that had come about. She wanted to show him that she meant no harm... thus slowly held out her hand to him, hoping she show she was weaponless and didn't intend on hurting him or anyone for that matter.

The boy tilted his head watching her as she held out her hand. He stuck the spear down into the ground watching her as he walked over to her slowly. He looked at her hand then to his and extended his arm like she had done and held his hand out for her wondering what she was doing. The other animals slowly crept out of the way and slowly walked over.

[Could you describe your character a bit?]

She was relieved he had at least put his weapon down and approached her. So far, he was the only person she had met here... that seemed to have grown up around the wilderness. Once he held his hand out. She slowly took his hand, carefully and hesitantly. Adelina moved their hand up and down, "Hello," she spoke, her light eyes on him.

Jon Looked at her hand as she gripped his and shook it. He felt her hand as she shook then spoke to him. "H..Hello.." His english was broken and static since he hadn't spoken it in years, he knew it when his parents were still alive but that part of jon left years ago. his light brown hair now long, hanging around his shoulders. due to life in the jungle he w as raher well built for strength and his brown eyes scanned her over.

Adelina couldn't help but smile. "Yes, hello," she repeated, before she looked around the animals that surrounded them. She slowly dropped her hand. Her stomach suddenly growled, which part of her expected since she hasn't eaten in some time. Her hand moved to her stomach as she looked at him. "Food," she said, motioning with her hands as if she were eating.

Jon seemed to understand that more and nodded and released her hand and ran back into the jungle. He knew of some fruits that grew and some small animals that tasted good. it was some time but he returned, armfull of the fruits and the small Gazelle that he would eat and offer to her if she wanted. He looked at her and held up a Kiwi for her to eat.

She was absolutely relieved, since she felt pretty tired and beaten, knowing the food would probably help her. She nodded, grateful and accepted the fruit. Adelina peeled it, eating the sweet fruit with content. She sat down, legs folded. She wished she could've brought some of her article of clothing... dresses were uncomfortable to be here... She ran a hand through her hair, admitting the dress made her feel hot under the sun.

Jon watched her but then went back into cutting open the Gazelle and going in and taking what he could and eating everything he normally did. He looked over at her and tilted his head looking over her choice of clothing wondering why she was in something so burdening. The sun was indeed hot that day and so he moved most of his food over to the tree where the shade would be.

Adelina followed quietly, noticing that he had a knife on him. She wasn't sure how she should ask for it. After eating her fill, she caught his attention, pointing at the knife on his leg. "Knife," she said, before holding out her hand for it, hoping he would comply so she could rip up a bit of her dress.

Jon looked at Her then to his knife as he held his food in his mouth then grabbed the knife and slowly handing it over to her. He then went back to eating his food. He then stopped when he finished and looked at her with his knife wondering what she was going to do.

Adelina nodded at him, thanking him before turning away slightly. She used the knife to cut up her dress, first the hem of her skirt, instead of it being to the floor, it was at her knee, with a slit on her right side to allow movement. She worked on the bodice, shortening the sleeves, and cutting the shirt just above her belly button. She admitted to feeling a lot better. She turned to face the young man, smiling at him. She held the knife out to him. "Thank you..." she said, nodding as she handed it to him.

Jon just nodded and took back the knife from her hand and put it away. Once he was full he looked at her before he began to walk back in the jungle. see how she wasn't a threat he had really no reason to deal with her. but he still wondered about who she was as he headed back into the jungle to head home.

Adelina gazed after him, and quickly stood up to follow him. She wouldn't be left behind, especially since he was the only human being here. It was frightening a bit to be alone in a jungle without knowing anyone, or having any materials to make it easier. She knew about animals, just not on living in the wild. So silently, she followed him, hoping he would allow her too.

Jon looked back at her but didnt say anything of it before walking back. He walked home to where he saw his mother laying in the tree. he just crawled over and onto the tree and rested against her warm body. He then looked at Adelina and tilted his head but maid a motion with his hand to his mother to relax and not rush after her. He yawned and started o get sleepy, it was time to nap after feeding.

Adelina's eyes widened as he merely just laid down on the female jaguar, as if it were nothing. She froze at the spot, not sure whether she should advance, or even stay there. She could be attacked when she slept. Yet, he seemed to think of her as someone that would be under his watch... so it seemed. Adelina slowly stepped away and slowly slumped against a tree. She buried her face into her arms. Would she ever be found?
