Well, they are based off of a RPG (D&D sorta of styled) made by a company named White Wolf Game Studios
Who, in fact, makes many other d10 styled RPs as well including but not limited to:

Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Hunter: The Reckoning
and many supplements of each one.
 
In my opinion my statement still stands, no other vampiresque games don't stand out or as well known as the Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain.
 
White Wolf owns Sword and Sorcery now too. Which means they are in charge of the WoW d20 campaign setting too.
