Young Lust {Crimson and Azuriyuu} (Continued)

Jasmine just gave Vision a tiny smile watching him leave the room before turning quickly. Drying off her hands and pulling the various things from her pockets Jasmine dropped them in the top drawer and closed it just as Robert walked into the kitchen. Since the sink was set in the center of the kitchen right across from the doorway Jasmine didn't expect her uncle to do anything but she quickly found out she was wrong. Before she'd even had time to turn and give him a smile Robert had a deathgrip on her arm and was dragging her across the kitchen to where they couldn't be seen. Without a word Jasmine was pushed up against the counter softly, so that the sound of her hitting the edge wouldn't travel into the kitchen but she was suddenly shove against the corner hard enough she was forced to bite down on her lip to keep from making a sound.

"You think having your friends around will keep you safe but I have news for you, little girl," Robert growled softly, glaring down at Jasmine as she fought to keep from making a sound. He'd positioned her so that the sharp edge of the counter pushed against her kidney and jasmine knew better than to ask him to stop since he'd push her back harder. "Convince them to leave, now or I'll ask your father for you to come stay at the hotel with us tonight. There isn't room in their rooms but me an' Trish have a spare bed."

With one last push he let go Jasmine's arms and stepped back, reaching over her head to pull out a small stack of small dessert plates from the cabinet. "Now be a good girl and get the dessert, you know John has a sweet tooth so I know you made him something nice. Your mom loves your brownies so you made them, didn'tcha?"

Without a word Jasmine nodded, swallowing back tears as she gathered herself up and walked to the oven, moving as if nothing hurt even though her back was on fire and she could still feel the pressure of his fingers digging into her arms. Pulling out the pan of brownies the small girl didn't even glance into the living room before setting the pan on the counter, beginning to cut the brownies and set them carefully on the plates Robert held patiently.

Vision paused, hesitating as he looked down, biting his lower lip. He could hear everything, but he couldn't do a thing. Looking around, he frowned, wondering what he should do. Either he could ask Bartiel for help, or he could ask someone else for help... He had a recording of everything he heard, having turned the recorder on. Still, he needed a bit more evidence...and he would need some allies. For a moment, he paused, before he looked at John, giving him a bit of a secret.

“Um, er, anou, sa...” he said, figuring that he'd try to make John an ally, even if John did think that he was a 'chink'. It was a risky gambit, but he knew he had to do something. Bartiel glanced over at him, Vision just smiling and motioning to Trisha subtly with his hand behind his back where John wouldn't be able to see. “Um, I wanna ask you some stuff about Jasmine...um, could we talk in private for the moment...?” he asked him, looking up at him, biting his lip.

“I mean, I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I just have a bit of a temper. I apologize,” he said, bowing his head slightly.

John heard Vision begin to talk to him but he didn't take his eyes off the television until the boy said a coherent sentence. Without a word he turned his head and studied Vision for a moment before giving a curt nod. Standing he picked up his glass of whiskey and motioned to the door with his head, walking around Vision and Bartiel to open the door and step out.

Saying that they'd gotten off on the wrong foot was an understatement of astronomic proportions but since Vision had apologized John would hear him out, if only for a moment. Though hard John was one for admitting when he'd done something wrong, though he'd not let anyone else know that. So far he didn't think he'd owed the boy any apology so he wouldn't give one, but what Vision had to say to him had to be important for him to willingly strike up a conversation.

Standing in the hall with one arm hanging loosely at his side John took another small sip from his glass, enjoying the burn of alcohol working down his throat before heating his belly as he waited for the boy to follow and speak. Already he was on guard since Vision wanted to talk about Jasmine, but he'd listen for a moment; he might not have been the best father in the world but Jasmine was his only child by blood and she meant more to him than anything, not matter how he acted sometimes.

Vision was clever. As he followed John out to the hallway, he casally changed from his idiot-self to his serious self. Knowing he wouldn't have too much time, and he shouldn't make accusations, he thought of exactly how to phrase what he was saying. After a moment, he paused. This method...might require that Jasmine suffer just a little bit. He would apologize to her, but he wouldn't put her in any danger, he would just record what happened and use it as evidence. Standing in front of the man, he grew serious.

“...Jasmine's been abused,” he said, seriously. “If it was at this school, or somewhere else, I don't know, but I'm intending on finding out, and intending on putting a stop to it,” he said, although he didn't accuse. “I asked her to carry a wire, and she agreed, and I've started recording it,” he said, turning away. “She's carrying it of her own free will. Now. I'm just a twelve-year-old. I have no power. But you're an adult and her father,” he said, looking at John with a frightening level of composure.

“I'm going to ask you to do two things. The first is to tell nobody, not even your wife that she's carrying the wire. I want as few people to know, no chance of it being overheard...and...I want you to help me act upon the information gathered in the tapes,” he said, before focusing his gaze up on John again.

John waited for Vision to say something, though the first thing out of his mouth surprised the father. His only outward reaction was his arm stopping in mid motion as he lifted the glass to his lips. Eyes narrowing slightly John slowly lowered his arm and listened to the boy for a moment before reacting.

Not stupid by any means the man took a step closer and narrowed his eyes further. "No word games. The fact you brought it up means you know more than you're tellin'. You might have a temper but I been watching the other one you came in with. He has killer written all over him and the way he was watchin' my little girl says that he's just as protective as you're being. I know Jasmine told you to be nice, she does that anytime anyone's around us, but I'm not stupid, there's somethin' else going on. You may snap immediately but the redhead's the one that'd take revenge on anyone, hell, I was waiting for him to try takin' my head off."

John took a step closer and lowered his voice, free hand clenching into a fit as he lowered himself enough to look Vision right in the eye. "If anyone's laid a hand on that girl I'll kill 'em myself, don't you worry 'bout that. Now tell me who it is."

Vision paused as she took a step forward. He hesitated as he spoke up. “...Aa. Bartiel's usually pretty gentle, but you're right that he's a bit off-center. I guess having your older brother beat you, shoot you, and rape your best friend will have an effect on someone,” he said casually, pulling out an electronic recording device. It was obviously set to record, with a small box connected to the microphone, with an antenna. Reaching back, he showed off the microphone in his ear. “I've been listening, and, well...this isn't conclusive evidence, but this leads me to a theory,”

Vision simply played back the conversation from the kitchen for John, looking up at the much larger, older man. The microphone was sharp, picking up every shove and movement, picking up every miniscule whimper, picking up Robert's voice as clear as day. “I'm more sure than the sky being blue that this is a threat,” he said, frowning, clearly unhappy. “And trust me. Anyone who makes Jasmine suffer will be punished one hundred and eightfold,” he said, repeating something Bartiel once said to him.

John didn't say anything as Vision spoke, simply watched the boy and listened to the recording. Eyes narrowing a growl pulled from his chest and without a word he spoke. Just as he shoved the door open and stormed in Jasmine and Robert finished setting out the plates. See her father Jasmine gave him a bit of a smile. "I made your favorite," she said, forcing happiness into her voice even as he stormed toward her. Robert, who was standing right behind her looked up at his brother and smiled, laughing. "Your girl's a good cook," he began but he only managed to get out the first two words before John was on him.

When Jasmine had seen her father coming she'd scrambled out of the way just in time to turn and see her father's arm go back. One moment everything was running smoothly the next time seemed to freeze, slowing down so she saw almost in slow motion her father pull back his arm before punching his twin brother full in the face. Robert's head snapped back and she heard the thick sound of his nose breaking before everything sped up again.

From behind she heard her mother let out a sound of surprise and horror as Trisha gasped. Robert stumbled back and landed hard on his back, staring up at John in utter surprise as blood pored from his nose. "What the fuck," he yelled, beginning to push to his feet before John had a hold of him. Hauling his brother to his feet John hit him again and slammed him into the living room wall, a hand wrapping round his throat as he kneed his brother hard enough in the stomach Jasmine could hear the breath rush out of Robert's body.

"Dad," Jasmine yelled, rushing over just as she saw her father's arm come back again, murder in his eyes. She'd never seen her father so angry and the fact that all that anger was directed at Robert was enough to almost make her hesitate when she grabbed his arm. She was shaken off easily and just when she'd thought he'd let go John bounced his brother's head off the wall with a sickening thud. Robert groaned and began to sink down the wall but John caught him easily, keeping him pinned there with a forearm pressed to his throat even as his brother reached up to try pulling his arm away, breathing obviously labored as his face started turning red.

Vision blinked as he looked into Jasmine's dorm as Bartiel watched John storm by him. “What the hell did you d-” and then the fighting started. Bartiel ended up watching the entire thing play, almost in slow motion as he watched Robert being beaten. Serves him right, was Bartiel's opinion. But as things got a bit on the brutal side and Jasmine was swept aside, Bartiel stepped in. Moving behind John, he raised his arms up around John's shoulders, prying him forcibly off of Robert. “Calm down! If you kill him and go to jail that'll only sadden Jasmine,” he said while prying John away from his twin brother.

At the same time, Vision had moved towards the exit to block Robert's exit, glaring down at him, preventing his escape, holding onto a hammer which he'd pulled from his pants, looking rather serious.

Jasmine watched Bartiel step in and turned her attention to Robert, who was still against the wall. She didn't notice Vision until her uncle began to move toward the door before stopping and sliding down the wall to hold his nose. "Sonofabitch broke my fucking nose," he mumbled, holding his nose. John's only reaction was a growl before he barked, "Watch your language. I'll break more than that."

Before her father could say anything else to try getting away from Bartiel Jasmine just looked at him. "Dad, calm down," she said softly before Robert spoke. A moment later there was yelling and John began towards his brother again, hindered only by the fact that Bartiel had a hold on him.

"Shut up," Jasmine screamed over the sound of them yelling before things could get out of hand. Robert immediately turned to look at her and she glared back. "Do it, call me a name one more time and I'm driving the broken pieces of your nose into your brain," she growled, taking a step towards him before he shut his mouth.

Turning her attention to her father she was forced to actually stand in front of him and snap her fingers in front of his face to get him to look at her. "Daddy, calm down. If you calm down and promise not to attack your brother for the moment I'll ask Bartiel to let you go." John's only reply was a small growl and nod, murder still in his eyes as he looked at his brother.

"Keep a hold of that crazy bastard," Robert growled before Jasmine looked at him again and decided to do something she'd waited a long time to do. Walking the few feet to him she moved before he could block and kicked him in the groin as hard as she could. Satisfied by his grunt and groan Jasmine watched him fall over onto his side, clutching his groin as he bled on her floor.

"Shut the fuck up and sit there," she ordered, turning to look at Vision. "You stay there." Looking at her Aunt she pointed to the kitchen. "Go get him something for his nose, I don't want to have to clean that much blood off my floor." With a nod Trisha skirted them all, returning from the kitchen a moment later to throw a towel on the floor beside Robert's head. Jasmine turned to look at Bartiel and set her hands on her hips. "Please let go of my father," she said with a sigh, one hand going up to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"Now if everyone could resist the urge to hit each other will someone please tell me what the hell just happened?!"

Bartiel glared at Robert as he was told to keep his hand on the crazy bastard. “Keep talking and I might just lose strength in my arms,” he threatened. He didn't let go, until Jasmine asked him to, however, when Jasmine asked exactly what happened, Bartiel frowned. “That's what I want to know... Vision, what the hell did you do?”

Vision frowned a bit, glaring at Bartiel. “I did what you weren't assertive enough to do, Bartiel,” he said, causing the young man to shiver slightly, biting his lip as Vision explained exactly what he did, with the listening bug, and with showing it to John's father. Bartiel glared. “This situation is too sensitive for you to just start doing what you want, Vision!”

At that, Vision snapped back, “And what would you have done? Just stood there and listened to her being beaten?! What ever happened to 'Those who make my friends suffer will be paid back a hundred and eightfold'?!” he snapped at his brother. Oddly, Bartiel was the one who kept his calm. While Bartiel was more compassionate than his cold demeanor would reveal, and he could be hot-blooded at times, between him and Vision, sitting back and thinking things through was something Bartiel could do even when he became emotional. Still, Bartiel didn't have anything to counter that with. There wasn't anything he could think of.

"Alright, that's it, that's it, I'm done," Jasmine said, throwing her hands up before stepping over her uncle to grab her coat. "Vision, Bartiel was right to not do anything, I didn't want you guys to do anything." Pulling on her coat Jasmine just glared at Vision. "I didn't tell because I didn't want anything to know." From behind her she heard John began to speak up before she shook her head and just backed away from all of them.

"No, I don't want to deal with this. Out. I want everyone out by the time I get back. Leave the blood or clean it up, I don't care, I just want everyone out." With that Jasmine turned and pushed past Vision, walking down the hall quickly. Stuffing her hands in her pockets Jasmine put her hood up and headed outside, noticing with a small bit of regret that it was snowing. Jasmine had always loved the snow, but it only seemed to snow on days when things started going wrong.

Figures...my favorite thing in the world happens when shit hits the fan. A moment later Jasmine was pushing open the doors to the dorm, stepping out into the snow with a sigh.

Bartiel frowned as she went. “Jasmine, I...” he started to follow her, but Bartiel stopped him, before beginning to go after her. “Wait, why are you going...?” he asked, as Bartiel looked at his brother, glaring. “Because it seems that between the two of us, I'm the one who's capable of making logical decisions while I'm emotional,” he said, not even raising his voice for a moment. “Are you even feeling any emo-”

Men don't slap men, but Bartiel slapped Vision right then and there, his face falling. “Here. Clean up this mess and keep these people from killing eachother,” he said before he turned and walked out of the building, leaving Vision dumb-founded and red-cheeked.

It didn't take long for Bartiel to reach Jasmine, remaining quiet, his face downwards. “I'm sorry,” was all he said as he followed behind her.

Jasmine had been leaned up against the building before she heard the door open. Once she'd heard the door opening she'd pushed away from the wall and started walking. In the mood she was in she didn't want to see or talk to anyone. Not even stopping when she heard Bartiel apologize Jasmine simply turned her head up, looking at the sky as she continued walking. She'd been at the school long enough to know just where to walk without even having to look, so she didn't.

Continuing to walk for a moment in silence Jasmine finally stopped and look at Bartiel. "Do you know why I hid from you Christmas when you started yelling," she asked, voice completely empty. Without even giving him time to answer she started walking slowly, looking back up at the sky and reaching a hand up to catch a few of the large, fluffy snowflakes, "The last person I know who got that angry on Christmas was my uncle. Aunt Trisha put dinner on the table three minutes late so he hit her. I was only five so I tried stopping him. He grabbed my arm and twisted, broke it in two places, then dislocated it when he shook me to try getting me to stop cry."

As she told her story of what happened with Robert, he looked quietly at his young girlfriend, pausing. Even though Jasmine believed that Vision's method was terrible, Bartiel knew it had some results. He frowned a bit as he looked completely at her, watching as she caught the snowflakes in her hand. As she revealed why she was so terrified, he looked away, pausing for a moment. In his book, Vision had done so much better than he had – Vision had stirred things up, changed the status quo. It was up to Jasmine and her family to put the pieces back together. Hopefully Robert would go to councelling. Talking to people, a change in scenario, slightly different circumstances could make as much difference as night and day.

“...Maybe he'll go to councelling, now,” he said, frowning softly. “Maybe get anger management. Who knows?” he said quietly, shaking his head, sighing a bit, facing downwards. He simply followed Jasmine where she wanted to go, keeping his thoughts to himself. He'd scared Jasmine, by acting like someone who he thought was actually quite similar to his brother. Looking to the sky, he frowned. It was starting to get dark, but he had to be back in his dorm by about 11, because his parents were coming back for New Years.

Jasmine stopped when Bartiel spoke, shaking her head and turning to look at him. "That's what neither you or Vision understand. He'll pretend to get help for his anger issues and make everyone think that he's gotten better but then he'll snap again and go after Trish, it always happens like this. This time I'm afraid of what he'll do. My father hates Trish, he always has, and if I'm not around then Robert only has one person to take his anger out on. You have no idea just how cruel and angry he can be. Th next time she won't be in the hospital, she'll be dead."

Jasmine just looked at Bartiel and shook her head, stuffing her hands back into her pocket before turning and walking back to her dorm. "Go home. Your mom should be there soon, Vision told me they'd be visiting again. I don't want you sticking around just because you think you have to; go spend time with your family."

Instead of looking back at Bartiel Jasmine simply walked faster, head down as she watched her sneakers kick up snowflakes in small puffs of cold whiteness. Though Vision had done what he'd thought was the right thing Jasmine knew her family well enough to know that things were only going to get worse. Once the boys were gone someone would snap and there'd be another argument and even more fighting.

I hate it when people try to help.

Bartiel blinked as she told him to, effectively, go away. With a bite of his lower lip, he slumped his shoulders, looking down. Dealing with school was easier than this, and so was dealing with Abel – it was easier to deal with a criminal once they got to the point of murdering someone than mere domestic abuse. Watching her back, Bartiel sighed as he shook his head, heading back to his dorm.

~~

Three days passed. It was January second, and Vision was...fusturated. “C'mon, Bartiel, tell me where you are...” he said, to which Bartiel shook his head on the other side of the phone. “I don't feel like it,” he said flatly, which fusturated Vision. Vision knew that Bartiel was somewhere around campus, but he'd left in the morning and came back late, late at night starting on the first, and he'd kept doing so for the next three days. Bartiel at least hadn't shut up; he was perfectly willing to talk, but talk was all he was willing to do.

The redhead had halfway disappeared. Vision knew he had many private places within the town and the campus' area, including in the woods near the campus, which had a cavern which the geology students often explored. Vision figured that one of Bartiel's private places was in the caverns somewhere, and he figured that another one was in the dilapilated area of the school, but as much as he tried to find him, he couldn't find his brother. At least Bartiel would talk on the phone, and hadn't dropped completely off the radar. With a sigh, he mumbled, “Alright, Bartiel, I'll see you when I see you,” Vision said, giving up.

~~

Bartiel sighed, sitting on a stump, hanging up his cell phone. It was a good place to be, here. He was in the woods, in a small clearing near a stream, sitting on a stump. Bartiel had set up a wooden training dummy to work out his fusturations, which he'd been beating up all day. Oddly, he was only wearing a pair of sweatpants and a pair of boots despite the snow, but the fact that he was sweating and panting showed that he'd been so active that he'd flung off his coat and sweater, which lay in a pile on their side. Around his arm he had a strange metal harness, which after he approached the dummy and plucked a throwing knife out of it's arm, he twirled the knife and hooked it back into the harness with a small smile.

Bartiel was trying not to think of the mess he'd made of Jasmine's family, although on New Years' Day he'd appeared before Robert and offered him a chance to learn meditation so he'd be able to calm himself down...then he didn't appear before Jasmine, or any of her family, or any of his family again.

Of course, Delilah, who was at a burger shop near the campus knew exactly where to find him, even though he never told her.

While Vision had spent the last three days trying to find Bartiel Jasmine had been doing her best to get her family to leave the campus so she could go looking for him. He'd not shown his face around her dorm since the blow up between John and Robert, but Jasmine knew he'd talked to her uncle. When Robert had gotten back from his talk with Bartiel he'd shown how much good it did by nearly putting his hand through one of Jasmine's walls.

After that her family had further dissolved into chaos until Jasmine simply locked herself in her room and refused to come out, only allowing her aunt into the room for a few short talks before kicking Trisha out as well. Finally, after her third day in isolation, Jasmine's family had left, though Trisha decided to stay for a few more days so she could talk Jasmine out of her mood. It had worked, a little bit, and the small girl was once again coming out of her room, but she was beginning to get worried about Bartiel. Taking her aunt's advice Jasmine decided to leave campus for a little while, long enough to get herself something to eat and do a little bit of shopping.

Deciding to eat at one of the small burger shops near campus Jasmine kept her head down until she was completely inside, shivering slightly as she stomped snow off of her boots. Just as she was pulling off her coat she noticed a familiar figured and was slightly surprised to see that it was Delilah sitting at one of the small booths at the back of the restaurant. With a small smile and wave Jasmine tucked her hands back into her pockets and headed over to see if Delilah knew where Bartiel had disappeared to.

Delilah and Lowe were having a fun time, eating a few burgers, laughing and smiling before Lowe caught notice of Jasmine. “Isn't that Vision's friend?” he said, to which Delilah smiled brightly, standing up and approaching the girl, giving her a very soft hug. “Ah, Jasmine! I was wondering why I haven't seen you since Christmas,” she said, giving the girl a warm smile. “Come, sit with us. Whatever you want, it's on us,” Lowe said, before Delilah turned and gave her a soft nod, sitting down.

“So, what brings you down here alone?” she asked curiously.

Jasmine gave Delilah and Lowe one of her winning smiles, happily returning the hug from Bartiel's mother before she was ushered into the booth. Taking her seat she idly tugged at the bottom of her shirt, keeping her smile in place as she hoped that neither Vision or Bartiel had mentioned her family being in town. "I just felt like getting out for a bit," she purred, tucking a lock of stray hair behind one small ear before pulling down the sleeves on her thinner jacket to hide her hands.

"I thought it might be nice to get something to eat and do a little shopping; I was planning on going to bug Bartiel for a while but no one seems to know where he is." Shrugging slightly and giving a small sigh she scooted back slightly and pulled one leg up to her chest, brushing an invisible bit of lint from the knee of her rather worn jeans so she wouldn't have to look at either of them.

Delilah smiled as she mentioned getting out for a bit. But when she mentioned Bartiel, Delilah gave the girl a soft smile. “He hasn't stopped answering his cell phone, so he hasn't run away, and he isn't completely depressed,” Lowe said, commenting on his state, knowing his stepson well enough. He noticed that Jasmine didn't want to look at him, but he paid it no mind. “But you are right in that nobody knows where he's run off to.” Lowe said as he took a bite of his barbeque burger.

Delilah was a little more perceptive, though, and smiled. “He's in the woods, about ten minutes south of the entrance that the intermediate cave exploration class uses,” she said, causing Lowe to blink and look at his wife. “He's not due south; you head south then you follow the stream,” she commented, at which point Lowe raised an eyebrow. “He told you?” Lowe asked his wife, who shook her head.

“Last time we were here I followed him around to his secret training areas, and that's the only one with good enough reception for him not to sound garbled on the phone, or drop calls,” she commented while giving her husband a sweet smile. Lowe only stared for a moment before turning to Jasmine. “...So what do you want to get? I recommend the barbeque burger.”

Lowe wasn't the only one who gave Delilah a confused look. Jasmine just looked up at Bartiel's mother and blinked slowly, giving her a smile. "Thank you," she purred. Jasmine had spent enough time in the woods doing certain activities that she knew the spot Delilah was talking about, and the woman was right, it was the only spot near there with good enough reception for calls not to be dropped. Looks like I get to go for a walk Jasmine thought before turning her attention to Lowe.

"I'll have a barbecue burger, extra sauce and cheese fries," Jasmine purred, giving him a bright smile, "and a vanilla milkshake, too, please." Giving him an even brighter smile Jasmine had to keep herself from practically bouncing in place at the thought of the food. Most of the boys she knew couldn't eat a full order of the cheese fries, let alone a burger as well considering the fact the fries were smothered in nacho cheese and came in a basket with enough food to feed three people. Somehow Jasmine could manage to get down an entire basket of cheese fries, a medium burger, and a milkshake and still be able to finish off an ice cream sundae not even ten minutes later.

Delilah smiled at the little girl, reaching down and ruffling her hair a little, putting an arm around her. When Jasmine ordered and got to work on her food, Delilah was clearly in awe of how much she ate. Lowe looked at her with just a little bit of amusement. “Quite an appitite you have there,” Lowe complimented. “A healthy appetite means a strong body. Maybe you and Vision should have children when you get older so I can have strong grandchildren,” he said. It was a joke, though he didn't differentiate his tone. Delilah just giggled at that.

“Really? I personally think that Jasmine here would have more compadibility with Bartiel,” she said playfully. Lowe looked at his wife, then shrugged. “Well, I just think that she wouldn't intimidate Vision too much,” Lowe said, the intimidation factor specifically being the fact that most girls towered over Vision, and Jasmine only stood above him by a small degree. Oddly, Delilah found the conversation terribly amusing because she knew the truth of the relationship between Jasmine and Bartiel.

Jasmine had just take a bite of her burger when Lowe mentioned her and Vision having children, and Jasmine did her best not to laugh before she could swallow her food. Giggling softly and licking barbecue sauce off her fingers she just grinned. "Well Vision's cute, but I don't think his girlfriend would want to share him," she giggled again, snuggling against Delilah's side as she began working on her fries again. Already she'd half finished everything and Jasmine hummed softly, licking a small bit of nacho cheese and sauce from her fingers before she looked up at Lowe.

"Besides, I've had a crush on Bartiel longer than I have on Vision." With another bite smile Jasmine continued eating, finishing off the majority of her food in less than ten minutes. Most would have thought that eating that much would have required her to forgo her table manners, but Jasmine managed to eat a large amount of food quickly while still being polite and ladylike, well, as much as one can be while eating a burger and french fries.

When Jasmine mentioned her crush on the older of his boys, he simply nodded. “You have a crush on Bartiel?” he asked, sounding just slightly surprised. “...Well, I give my approval of you going after Bartiel when you're both a little older,” he said, not realizing that Bartiel had actually intended on asking her out when she was a little older, and she was simply too impatient to wait for that day. Delilah snuggled the small girl against her body while she smiled, running her foot along her husband's leg, before the group finished. Once the group was done with lunch, Lowe paid and got his jacket on.

“Me and Delilah are going up to Best Buy to see about a new computer,” he said. “Do you want to come along?” Lowe asked, although he wasn't expecting her to say yes, since she commented that she was looking for Bartiel.

Jasmine just gave Lowe a smile when she got his permission to go after his older son, but she didn't say anything. Instead she simply finished eating. Thanking Lowe for the invitation along Jasmine declined, giving each of them a quick hug, though Delilah got an extra kiss on the cheek before Jasmine departed. Stopping by one of the smaller shops where she usually spent most of her money Jasmine was slightly disappointed to find out that her corset still hadn't come in, but she simply headed home, not at all surprised to find she was growing increasingly hyper thanks to the milkshake that Lowe had bought for her.

Once home the small girl changed quickly, pulling on a pair of thicker, black jeans along with her favorite fuzzy black and silver boots. Simply adding a long sleeved t-shirt Jasmine threw on her favorite jacket before heading out. Having remembered to grab her iPod it wasn't long until she'd reached the edge of the woods and headed down the small, rarely used trail she knew well.

Thanks to the fact she had music and energy from her food it didn't take Jasmine the full ten minutes to reach the small clearing. Instead of simply walking in Jasmine took a bit of time to watch Bartiel, switching off her music and tucking the small mp3 player in her jacket pocket as she remained in the trees.

"You'd get a better range with the knife if you picked on smaller with a longer blade," Jasmine called to Bartiel as she watched him use the knife and harness. Stepping out of the trees she looked at the throwing knife he was using memorizing the style quickly. "That ones a little off balance, so it wobbles just enough to put it a little off target. You need to either sharpen it more to add more damage or choose another knife to throw."
