Kaguyams face twisted in confusion, looking back up at him. “You scared me when you woke me..” She admitted with a nod. “But why are you here?” Was she just stupid, or was she truly not afraid? Either way, it was beyond amusing.

“I would be sad that I no longer got to spend time at your side.” She admitted with a small nod. “But I don’t think I’m afraid of you, Lord Douma.” She spoke softly. “I hold much love for you.”

Kaguya nodded, reaching a hand up and placing it on his cheek. “You’re my family, Lord Douma, and I love you.” He had heard that word countless times before, but never before had he heard Kaguya say it, let alone toward him. “And if you were to ask for my body as sustenance, I would gladly give it to you.”

He blinked a bit, not really sure how to take such words. He gave a fond smile and laughed softly.
"How very kind, Kaguya-chan, but I would never."

She shook her head slowly. “That’s fine. If you desired to eat me, I would let you. If you wanted for me to stay at your side until we grow old, I would accept that as well.” There would be no growing old for Douma, but Kaguya didn’t know that, and even when she found out, she would probably overlook such a thing as well.

"I would happily grow old with you, Kaguya-chan." He lied smoothly. How fun she was. She was just so interesting for a human. He couldn't help himself.

It was a little embarrassing to have Douma in her room, and on her bed over her no less, but Kaguya tried to keep her thoughts from wandering. He wasn’t here for that, he was only teasing her- right? She slowly moved her hand away, letting it rest back over her chest. “Is there something you needed from me?”

Kaguya nodded her head, heart beating hard in her chest. “Yes.” She said. “Thank you, Lord Douma.”

Kaguya would lay awake for hours, unable to fall back asleep, mind racing. Had Douma been teasing her again, or was he trying to do something else? Surely he wasn’t trying to court her- she didn’t see him like that, and he didn’t see her like that either- right? But what if he did, and what if she had scorned and offended him? She got out of bed and headed for the door, perhaps she should go and apologize to him? Maybe then he would tell her she was being silly again, and he had only been teasing her like he always did.

Kaguya’s body went limp, and the last thing she saw was a dark shadow looming over her. When she started to stir again, she was met with a biting cold, a bright orange flame before her keeping the front of her warm. She felt a wooden floor beneath her, and it took several moments for her to realize she was staring at the flame of an old hearth in front of her, laying on the floor of an old home she didn’t recognize.

Kaguya’s eyes widened a bit and she tried to sit up, but her wrists and ankles were bound, tied together to keep her from going anywhere. She tried to speak, but found a cloth stuffed into her mouth and secured tightly. Fear gripped her tightly, eyes looking around to try and find the source of the voice. It didn’t sound like Douma at all, had intruders broken in? Where had she been taken?

"You work with that cult leader. Too many people have gone missing from the area, especially from your little religion. You're going to tell me everything you know." The voice said.

Cult leader? Was he talking about Douma? She felt a chill run down her spine when he mentioned the missing people- the people she helped hide the disappearances of. She tried to scream, the gag muffling most of her cry for help, and the building absorbing the rest. Regardless, even if she did scream, they weren’t in the city anymore, residing in the outskirts of the forest.

She did just that, taking the time to scream until she was out of breath and her throat hurt, having to lay her head back on the dusty floor of the cabin. She tried the ropes again, but found her wrists were bound firmly behind her back.

Kaguya tried to speak through the cloth gag, tried to beg for him to let her go, but her words were muffled.

She saw movement in the darkness before a man stepped out, looking bored and annoyed as he reached to remove her gag, "Don't scream." He warned.
