from the edge (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

Kagaya found it fun to make tea, even enjoying the household chores they helped her with, from dusting to fetching wood and water for the home.

Kaguya didn’t mind the humble life he had given her, she worked hard to earn her keep, and enjoyed speaking with the Kakushi. She still didn’t have the strength to cut wood, but she tied it in bundles and stacked it when they had it. She was enjoying learning how to cook the most, finding the most joy out of that.

She had been staying there almost a month now, and Yoichi came by regularly to see them and make sure they had what they needed.
However, there had been rumors of a demon stalking around, and the kakushi did their best to protect the area with wisteria.

Kaguya always listened to the Kakushi, followed the rules they set up, and made sure that over everything else, she was never outside when the sun started to set. Still with the rumors of a demon lurking about, everyone was on edge, even despite the wisteria they set out.

Kaguya didn’t know what else to do, perhaps the only thing she could do was to tell Yoichi about it when he returned. She shook her head and thought nothing of it, worrying would accomplish nothing. She worked on the house chores, keeping herself busy as to not let herself worry.

It was getting dark, and the kakushi were doing what they could to protect the house before one of them was dragged kicking and screaming into the brush before it went silent.

Kaguya felt fear jolt through her as she watched one of the kakushi vanish into the brush. “W-We need to go inside..!” She called to the others, fear heavy in her voice as she scrambled to her feet, leaving the wood and wisteria behind on the ground.

Tears burned in her eyes as she listened to her friends get dragged away, ushering in the kakushi, holding the door open for them.

“I won’t leave you!” She couldn’t bring herself to leave anyone outside on their own, grabbing a bundle of wisteria and trying to drive the demon off with it.

"Kaguya-san!" They became even more panicked as she rushed the demon with a small bundle of purple flowers, which the dog only scrunched its nose at before it grabbed Kaguya by the collar of her kimono and running away.

Kaguya had only been trying to buy enough time to help the last Kakushi inside before she planned on fleeing herself, but the wisteria didn’t seem to bother the demon at all. She dropped the flowers when she was grabbed, letting out a small scream of fear as she was quickly dragged away.

Kaguya stared back in fear, looking around for something to fight back with, anything. She grabbed a rock and threw it as hard as she could, terrified to death.

She clipped the demon's head and it yelped before it started to change, shrinking down to the form of a woman; only, the obvious difference was she had four arms, all covered to her elbows in fur.
"Baka...that hurt." She hissed.

Kaguya looked like she had been slapped across the face, falling back onto her rear and staring in shock. “S-Sorry..” She didn’t know how to respond, obviously the demon was humanoid, it was a demon.

"I was just trying to help protect you from them Slayers." She said, scowling before punching Kaguya in the head, "Be grateful! That wisteria wouldda hurt you real bad if ya held it any longer!"

Kaguya cried out when she was struck, being knocked to the ground. “I-I sorry..!” Blood dripped from her head, the punch scraping her forehead and causing her to bleed- she smelled human, was she not a demon after all?

She didn’t understand, didn’t know how she could possibly be mistaken for a demon. Kaguya nodded quickly. “Y-Yes..!”

She moved back over quickly, sniffing her all over gently, "You smell like a demon. And you look like a demon. But you're not?" She seemed as confused as Kaguya was.

Kaguya’s face flushed with embarrassment as she was smelled, scooting away from the demon. “I-I’m not a demon..!” She said as firmly as she could; was Douma’s scent still on her? Would saying his name get the same reaction it always did from others? “I.. I belong to Douma..!”
