Hell was home to many types of demons. There were lesser demons and some higher demons, and the highest of all being demons of sin. They all played an important roll against the forces of Heaven and leading humans to damnation. But there were also demons of another kind, more animalistic. These were souls of humans who had committed heinous acts and atrocities against their own, demons of hatred and bloodlust. And there was one that was as old as Hell itself. He gave in to his primal aspects, a horse sized lizard like being that stalked where ever it liked to, feeding on anything in its path. He was beautiful and he was terrifying.

Sapphira was more of a fledgling when it came to dark and ruinous powers. Still over a century old, she was considered young an immature, despite her ambitions.

She knew the stories of this ancient beast, and she was fascinated as well as scared of ever running into the thing.

She was out looking again, and this time she heard fighting. Could it be him? She followed the sounds until she came upon a bloody scene. There were corpses of demons all over the ground and not far from them was the massive demon. He was biting into an ogre, ripping chunks out of it as it struggled against him fruitlessly.

He ripped out the ogre's throat and balanced himself on the corpse as it fell. He swallowed the meat in his mouth and made a show of cleaning the blood from his muzzle. How incredible; he wasn't killing for food, he was killing for the fun of it.

How interesting. Not many ancient ones like this still had that much wit left, most were simply reduced to absolutely base needs.

She didn't realize he was looking at her until her eyes met his. They were haunting, glowing an unnatural orange color as he stared at her unblinkingly.

She suddenly hit him with a spell to relax him. It was potent, but she hoped he was distracted.

He rushed at her, teeth beared, before he came to a halt, falling at her feet. His eyes looked drunk, dizzy even.

She made a noise and gasped as she caught her breath, her face flushed as she panted. It had worked.
