Seth agreed and they walked around a bit. The boat had several things, a game place, places to buy thiings, a large ball room, and even a place for trainers to have small friendly battles. He guessed the large ball room would be where they would hold the contest. He wasn;t far off as he saw a small notice saying that the contest would be later that afternoon.
 
As they passed the ballroom, Jewel spotted the notice and gently led him over to it. For several minutes she stared at the notice before looking at Seth. "What does it say?" she asked him. "I can't read."
 
"Well it says the time of the contest today," he said He read the notice to her. Seth would show her how to sound out the letters and such. "I guess I'd better teach you how to read as well Jewel," he said, she seemed so knowledgable already he hadn't considered that she couldn;t read.
 
"Well, I know letters and such. I just don't know how to read just yet." she said to him while staring at the notice. "Well, at least we know when the contest is." She chuckled softly and smiled.
 
"Well...then I guess I just need to teach you how to read," he said. "Yeah, we still have a few hours, lets walk a bit more and we can come back to watch the contest."
 
She moved over to him and slipped her arm into his. "Well, then lets go." she said with a smile before tugging on his arm. "Lets continue our walk then."
 
They continued to look around the ship, if she asked questions he would answer to the best he could. He knew thing about them, but he was an expert on them. Soon he looked at his watch and noticed the contest would be starting soon. "We'd better get going to see what it's like," he told her. They would make there way back. Poeple where gathering to see it as well.
 
Jewel eagerly followed Seth back to the ball room where the contest would be taking place. "Oh, lets get good seats." she said. "Please?" She held his hand and seemed to be bouncing on the balls of her feet with excitement as she looked around with wide glittering eyes.
 
Seth nodded and took a hold of her hand doing his bes tto be quick. They found a seat not to far from the front, but the really good ones where mostly filled out. "If you can't see that well you can sit on my lap," he told her. He could see around her.
 
She nodded as he sat down and insted of sitting next to him, she happily sat down in his lap and leaned against his chest with her head resting on his shoulder. "I'm so excited." she said with a giggle. "I really hope that I do well in the contest when we take part in them."
 
"I know you will Jewel," he told her. It was rather uncomfortable for him to be on her, he guessed only because he was now used to mating with her so much. He didn't say anything though, he rather enjoyed when she was on his lap after all. "I think it's starting. An announcers voice boomed from speakers, as he explained the two parts of the contest. The first was more of a skill display, the girls would show off there best moves in the most artistic of ways they could. Following would be a sort of dance thing.
 
Jewel fell silent as she looked up at the small stage that had been set up as someone explaned the two stages that would take place. As she sat there in silence, she held Seths hand in hers.
 
First up was a moewth girl and her trainer. The girl used the skill "Payday" making gold coins fly up around her as she spun making thm twirls as they landed and sort of spin all around her. Next she used furry swiped on the coins making them suddenly leap p and spin in the air, staying suspended for a few moments. Seth watched, seeing how creative the girls could get with these things.
 
Jewel softly gasped and her ears twitched as she watched the coins fly through the air and glitter brightly as they caught the lights in the room. Suddenly she felt like she wouldn't be able to win any contest. She didn't know any special attacks like that. All she knew what to was simple moves like scratch, tackle, growl and tail whip among other basic moves that wouldn't really impress anyone.
 
Seth watched as now a pikachu girl came out. She was just as good as the first, if not better. She made sparks dance around her as she too would spin and leap. It was like a dazzling light show. Next was a vulpix girl. She used flames to cause the crowd to gasp and hold there bleath as she shot burst of flames in all directions, then used a fire spin attack to once again show off her beauty. That seemed to have been the last one, the judges where calculating there scores. "Whats wrong?" he asked her.
 
Jewel slowly shook her head. "I don't know any moves that would dazzle the judges." she whispered. "I only know basic attacks." She sighed softly and shook her head slightly, some of her long silky brown hair falling in her face.
 
Seth knew he didn't want to battle. "Then I guess we'll need to practice a bit....you can learn oved without needing to battle...it may just get harder."
 
Jewel gently bit her bottom lip with a sigh. She knew that he didn't want to be a trainer and he didn't want to battle. "Oh... what about those things that I saw a trainer holding while talking with his pokegirl?" she asked, talking about a trainer they saw earlier that day during their walk. The trainer had been holding a TM while discussing what it was to his pokegirl.
 
"Those are TM's, they are moves you can get tuaght, but they can be rather expensive at times," he told her. It would eliminate the need to train though.
 
She nodded slowly while gently biting her bottom lip. "Oh. Okay." she murmured, but she sat there looking thoughtful. "Well, I'm sure we'll think of something." Jewel smiled at him again and laid her head on his shoulder once again before looking at the judges, waiting to hear them announce the winner of the contest.
 
The meowth girl won, the judges liked her simple show, it showed off her playful nature. "See somtime the most dazzling show isn't needed," he told her gently.
 
She nods slightly before smiling at him. "Yeah. You're right Seth." she said softly. "I'm sure I'm just being silly." She softly clapped her hands for the Meoth girl just like the others before standing up and stretching with a yawn. "Well, I enjoyed that show. What shall we do now then?"
 
"Lets head back to the room...unless you'd like to go up on top for a swim or to pracrice a bit," he said to her.
 
"Alright," he said and the both went back to the room. The next few days was full of activities, they wuld swim a bit, afterwards either go and eat or go shower. Mating came either during showers, after or before them, he was surprised how much better it seemed to have gotten. They where coming to there final day. "Tomorrow well be in Sinnoh," he said and smiled, he'd miss the ship, but it ment they where closer to finialy finishing this bit of work.
