The smaller fox didn't really notice the gazes they had gotten as he carried her to the council room. Of course, there were a number of people who looked down on them, especially the teachers and the couples. She was completely focused on Caleb carrying her as though she was his bride. But when they got to the council room and saw all of the adults sitting around the room, it was all Sophie could do to not bury her face into Caleb's chest. Just seeing her parents on one side of the room made her relax slightly, though the hostility of the rest of the room was palpable. She whimpered softly and nuzzled into her love's much larger body.
