Question Status Updates

There is a thread about what not to post as a status update, but what should be posted as a status? Is this for mundane things like "I had tacos for lunch?" Is anyone out there really good at posting status updates? Does anyone read them anyway? A thread about what makes a good status update would be most helpful.

They can be used for anything that doesn't violate the rules and while using common sense. I know a lot of people post if they are sick and can't post, they post songs, little poems. Some will write on one another's walls to say they like an avatar or to thank them for a follow! Some people post almost daily, others less so.

I know a fair number of people read them too!
