He walked along the darkened alley, a cloak covering his body and most of his facial features as he treaded as softly as a shadow through the night. His feet didn't make a noise as he walked through the kingdom. Judging by how tall he was he could possibly be in his late teen years, if anyone where to have guessed that they would not have been wrong. Beneath the hood, two eyes glimmered as the moonlight hit, they seemed an eary grey color like they had not seen the light of day in a long time, but that was not the real case. He didn't seem all human, but to his knowledge he was, as he knew little of his past family lineage. He most quickly, producing no noise as he streaked across the streets into other alley ways and inside the shadows of houses and such.

The hood to his cloak slid back gently as he faded into the shadow of a building. His hair was a raven black, and his skin seemed to be that which was touched by sunlight, making his eyes seem all the more unnaturally pale. He pulled his hood back on and produces from the sleave a strange looking little intrument. He blew into it and the cal of a night bird came from the opening. Moments later more shadowy figures gathered around him, all making no noise.

"Are you sure it's wise to have taken part in the nights events?" one figure asked, it was man judging by it's voice, one much more aged and experience then he.

"I would not have it any other way my friend," he spoke to his older comrade. His voice seemed very smooth and clever, as if he had talked his way out of hell itself.

(Hope this is okay.)

Lily had locked herself in her bedroom. tears filled her purple eyes and spilled down her her rosy cheeks. her father had just told her she would be wed to a man she never even might before in two months time. When she tried to explained to him that she was not ready to be a wife he grew angry with her. She knew that was her father said was law and there was no changing his mind. but she could not image being with anyone she was not in love with. Lily wished there was some way she could be free of this place, and free of her crown.

"Are we all ready for tonight then?" he asked his cloaked comrades. They all nodded gently. "You two will take out the guards, but reemer...we aren;t assasins...we don't kill unless in defense," he said to the two figures closest to him. Without a word they both zipped off onto roof tops.

"Now we will infiltrate the castle," he spoke to the remaining three with him. They group was silent until a similar call of a bird, like what he had produced minutes before, sounded into the night. "They where always fast at there job," he said and all four zipped off into the streets.

They stormed the gates, two guards where seemingly asleep as the leapt and climbed over the large iron spikes. They entered the castle through a window that was left [artially open, there man on the inside had done his job as they split up and went to find the princess's chambers.

He was the first to hear the gentle sobbing of the princess. He knocked on the door and stayed out of sight waiting for it to open.

She sat on her bed her head hung her lovely face hidden by her long hair. She cried softly to herself when suddenly there came a knock at her door. Lily jumped off the bed in surprise and she quickly dried her eyes but that little use, her eyes and cheeks still showed signs she had been crying. She went the door and slowly opened it

Just as the door opened wide enough he seemed to materialize out of the shadows, a gloved hand clapping over her mouth before she could yell and he went into her room with her smouth still covered. The door closed behind him as he did. "Don't be afriad princess....come quietly and I wont have to harm you," he said to her, his voice seeming mysterious and at the same time it rang with truth.

Before she knew what was happening a came up and covered her mouth. she tried to yell but her screams were muffled by the hand. she tried to pull away from him, her hands even came up and tried to pull his hand away from her mouth but it did little use. her eyes widen when he said might harm her. she didn't know what to do.

He forced her down onto the bed. He seemed half hearted in his atempt, but he produced rope and cloth from his cloak and he muffled her mouth with the peice of cloths before binding her nicely with the rope. Despite his very rough intrusion and entry he seemed determined not to cause her harm or discomfort as he tied her up.

Lily could not believe what was happening. before she knew it her back hit the bed and he still held her as he stuffed something in her mouth and began to tie her up. she struggled to stop but it was a little use. the rope caused her skin to turn red from her struggling.

Once again he blew in his strange whistle. Soon the window burst open and his team was there. By now the castle knew what was happening, but no one could stop them as they took her and leapt from the window, landing rather stealthfilly as they now had to get back to there hide out.

She watched in horror as more men came into her room. she knew there was very little hope that anyone would stop them. When the man brought her to the window she struggled cause she knew they were going to jump, but it again was not much use. when he did jump she let out a muffled scream all the way down the ground.

The group sprinted off once they landed. Even with her extra weight he didn;t see to have slowed down. Arrows whizzed past them suddenly as they once again cleared the gates. "Idiots...don't they know they'll hit the princess?" he groalwed angrily. "Quick use a smoke screen!" he said and the group, minus himself, tossed a few smoke sombs behind them making them virtually dissappear until the smoke cleared.

Lily saw the arrows and she scream she held still so has not to get hit, then she heard him growl that they might have hit her. She thought that to be odd, he was kidnapping her, why would he care for her well being?

They ran through out the entire night. It seemed like they would never come to an end. The sun as breaking up over the horizon as they came to a stop suddenly. They seemed to have been in the middle of a forest, or a large growth of trees. A few stones where places around an area, at first glance they just seemed to have been naturally moved there, but then one of the kidnappers lifted a strange gem the stones shimmered and an opening appeared at the roots of a trees, it as large enough for a person to walk into and down under the ground without having to duck his or her head.

"You must be tired of caring her Kain would you like me to?" one of his companions asked. "No I am fine...she isn;t heavy at all," he said to his friend and they walked down, down into the ground for a while. Soon they where in a cave, or more like an underground city, as walls and buildings where erected left and right.

Lily could not believe how far they were running. as the night grew closer to dawn lily grew tired and she found it very hard to keep her eyes opened any longer. there in the strange man's arms she fell a sleep. her head rested against his chest. her breathing was soft. she looked almost like angel

Kain, as he was called, smiled as he looked down at her. His cloak of course covered the act, and he quickly returned back to a serious appearence. They walked in the underground city, not many people where out and about. They however walked until they where at a castle of there own. It was more like a large house in comparision to others, but this was where the leader of the theives slept, along with his closests compaions and such. "I think she'll be more comfortable in a bed," he said and dismissed his group as he went to go and put her into the leaders room. He untied her, it was easy to do without waking her up.

Lily slept through the hall thing as she was laid on the bed, and untied she slept through but soon her body grew colder, she was so use to the warmth of his body. her purple eyes slowly fluttered open and she looked around the room. she sat up quickly "where am I?!" she wasn't talking to anyone more to herself out of fear

"The foxes den," he said as he was removing his cloak. He revealed himself finally to her. His body was slim but muscled. He was taller then her by a bit, but was most likely around the same age. "Or by what your town calls it...the rate hole," he said. It was the underground city, the theives guild, it was called many things. To her town is was most likely a myth becauese no one ever found it, but it existed.

Lily seemed to jump out of her skin when she heard his voice, but it was a voice she had heard before. It belonged to the man that took her. Her head turned sharply to face him "what i am i doing here? why would you take me from my home?" she tried to act strong and tough but her eyes gave her away, there was fear in them and tears starting to build.

Kain looked at her, his eyes, grey and seemed to lack emotion, but in truth it was just the stare he had learned from his father, the former leader. "We don't agree with your fathers methods of governemtn, he taxes the people and makes life harder for those not among he noble classes," he said. "Kidnapping you was the only idea we had tht could possibly make him change his ways," he told her honestly. Even if they where theives, they looked out for the people, of course when ever they stole money 'back' from the king they did keep a little themselves. "Besides...you didn't seem to even want to be home...why else where you crying?" in truth his accusation wa completely guess work.

Lily gave a short laugh "you think taking me would solve the problems he has created." she shook her head "well then you don't know my father that well. his word is law period. he'll be even harder on the people now." she looked down "he won't care about your wishes......he doesn't even care about mine" she said the last part softly almost to herself.

Kain didn't seem rattled by her words, but he did have a small sense of pity for her, having heard what she said. He however didn't show it. "You underestimate yourself far to much Princess Lily," he said using her name and title. "You see even if your father doesn;t care about you, you bring him many opportunities." he said and paused just for affect "I beleive he has you aranged for marriage to a neighboring country, if you two marry he will have allainces with another nation as well as trade opportunities and the like." "However if your not there to be married then he gets no alliance, also if he does nothing to save his beloved daughter what will other nations think?" "Most likely they wouldn;t want to continue trading with someone who couldn;t care less of his own daughter...so even if he does tax the people more, it will be a matter of time before his overall power dies out and eventually the people will once again be on top...however if our method works, then things will happen more quickly and your father can enjoy his throne for a while longer."

It was one thing for her to say her father doesn't care about her, she has lived with him her whole life and she knew how he acted, but when this man told her it seemed to hurt her more. It hurt more that she knew people could see it, that it wasn't all in her mind. She tried for so long to make her father love to no avail. she didn't even responded to him her head hung down her long hair falling in her face like a vial.

"Don't worry though...you;ll be fine...I've told everyone in my guild to not harm you, you can even move around freely, but I will have eyes watching you so don't try to escape...you'll end up getting lost in the catacombs and that wont due," he told her. He left her to feel the realization of what her father planned.

She was use to never being truly free, she hadn't been since the day she was born. she was also used first by her father now by this man. Both had plans for themselves and both were using her to get what they wanted. it was all to much her. she began to cry. heavy tears spill out of her purple eyes.

Kain felt alot of pity for her. "Don't cry Princess....it will be over soon...hopefully....we really don't mean to harm you in all of this, your innocent," he told her. "It's just, drastic times call for drastic measures," he said, he had not expected to make her cry, yes to make her feel a bit scared, but not to feel like she was worthless, she was very useful here.
