“Heaven or Hell, begone!” yelled Bartiel Onyx, panting. Bartiel Onyx, child of a martial artist woman who studied in china. Humans weren't supposed to be able to fend off demons, but he did. It took effort, and he barely survived, but he'd been attacked by this hellish...he didn't know what. It looked like a woman, but it showed far more strength than any man or woman. And he chased it off. Panting, Bartiel leaned against a tree, clutching a wound on his side, groaning. At eighteen years old, he'd just gotten into college, moved to this new town, and this happened.

Waiting until he chased the demon off, Bartiel kept his eyes hard and focused, until they suddenly softened. “Damn it all to hell,” he mumbled, collapsing in the park, drenched and muddy, groaning painfully as he passed out. The rain poured around his unconcious form as he passed out.

“And I was attacked by a man in the park,” he said in the commons at school, talking to one of his friends, a young man named Ryuuichi. Ryuu simply nodded, eating his pizza slice as he listened to Bartiel's story. Really 'man' was wrong on two accounts; both the gender and the species. “So why aren't you sick if you spent half an hour in the park bleeding? Isn't your wound infected?” Ryuuichi asked. Bartiel shook his head. “Naw, I sliced it open with a knife and disinfected the everliving fuck out of it,” he commented with a grin.

Bartiel Onyx was a robust young man; at six foot one, he stood tall and proud. Bright green eyes were accentuated by their almond shape and the glasses that loosely hung on them. His fashion sense was quirky, wearing a pair of hakama-style pants and a tight tank-top with a pair of leather gloves. Bright red hair fell almost to his waist as he ate his lunch, glancing at the clock. He had a couple hours until he had to go to his Art Theory class.

Still, he had that demon attack in his mind. How...unusual...a demon attack. He didn't even think they existed, but sure enough, he had survived one. He'd have to talk to a priest, or...something.

Ezthreta had never been defeated in a battle before. She'd never even come close to losing. She'd attacked the man in the park for a good time, she'd been feeling especially restless and he was extremely attractive for a human. She had figured that she would scratch him up a bit, render him nearly unconcious, and then screw his brains out...but that's not what happened.

She'd been thrown off guard by the tight moves the human had been able to put on her. Once he kicked her in the face it was all over, no one demon or otherwise had ever gotten her there. She'd sprinted off to hide, brood, and wait for her wounds to heal. It wouldn't take long, Ezthreta was a strong demoness. While she was brooding she came up with a plan. She'd seen the man talking with a girl that seemed to like him just before she'd attacked him. She grinned to herself and decided to go posess the girl.

-----------------------------

Laurel was in between buildings at school when she heard a voice call out, "Owwww...somebody help me!" and the sweet innocent Laurel went running over to see what the matter was. Before she knew what hit her, the demon had sunk her claws in and melded her energy with the girl's. Her demon form misted away as she took hold in the girl's body. She stretched and shook herself a little, trying to get used to the feeling. She felt herself up and nodded, she was all natural.

Then 'Laurel' picked up her books and made her way to the green. Thanfully Ezthreta could retain all of Laurel's memories while in her body, had her voice, and her mannerisms so nothing would seem amiss. Her eyes locked on her target, the man. Bartiel, she learned his name was. She walked over to him with a ridiculously innocent but so Laurel smile on her face, "Hi there!" she squeaked in what Ezthreta thought was an annoyingly high voice.

Ryuu grinned brightly at Laurel. Her memories would make it obvious that Ryuuichi had an intense crush on Laurel, but the girl had absolutely no interest in the Japanese young man. “How ya doin'? Did you hear about Bartiel's wound?” he asked, Bartiel rolling his eyes, shaking his head as Ryuuichi irritatingly announced the 'news' to the whole world.

“I'm sure she's not interested in hearing about it,” Bartiel said as he sipped his tea, looking down before glancing at 'Laurel' after a moment. Bartiel also had a thing for the young woman, but he made it far less obvious; his stoic mannerisms threw off the meaning behind all of his little glances. “It's important that she know, though, so she doesn't go through there without one of us,” Ryuu said, pouting, before looking at Laurel with a grin. “Don't worry, I'll protect you from all!”

She doesn't even know what you'll be protecting her from, you idiot, Bartiel thought to himself, although he was smiling. After that, though, he lifted up his tank-top, showing that his lower torso had been wrapped up in bandage, showing it off to Laurel. He also showed off the fact that his body was incredibly tight and well-toned. “I was attacked in the park a couple nights ago. It might be good if you don't go out there, but I'm gonna go look around for the mugger in a couple nights,” he said, as Ryuu raised an eyebrow.

“Wouldn't it be better to call the police?” Ryuu asked, and Bartiel shook his head. “Naw, I'll handle it myself.” He couldn't tell the police what happened; even the lie, or else they might endanger themselves. From what he heard, bullets didn't work as well on most demons as fists, because fists had the spirit of the person punching, and bullets were just metal slag.

Laurel rolled her eyes at Ryuu dismissively, playing it off as though she'd heard this speech a million times, though it was Ezthreta's first time ever hearing it. Ezthreta picked up on Bartiel's attraction to Laurel immediaitely, as she had a heightened sense of sexual tension. She grinned inwardly, this mission was going to be easier than she thought.

Her eyes widened a little at the sight of Bartiel's amazing abdomen. She had to seriously restrain herself from just mating with him right then and there. Laurel's face flushed a little and she did a girly-wiggly thing, "Ohh! Bartiel, that looks like it hurts," she cooed at him flirtatiously. Laurel had shoulder length blonde hair and sweet honey brown eyes. She was about five foot three and while she was slim, she still had curves. Ezthreta was the opposite in almost every way. She had jet black hair, was almost six feet tall, had red skin, and was an incredibly curvy and vivacious demon.

Ezthreta enjoyed being inside of Laurel, though. It gave her a real sense of being a human. She couldn't wait to get her claws...or hands, on Bartiel. She nodded fervently, "Ohh, you're right. Do you think you could walk me to my dorm then, Barty?" she asked him affectionately, completely ignoring Ryuu's presence.

Bartiel raised an eyebrow as she said that it looked like it hurt. Looking down, he shrugged. “I guess it would, if I didn't apply some numbing lotion,” he said casually, looking up at the pretty blonde girl, smiling just a little bit before she asked if she would walk her to the dorm. It was a little bit of a surprise, particularly the fact that she didn't ask Ryuuichi to come along as well. Still, if she wanted to be walked back to her dorm, he could do it. “Aa, sure. But please call me Bartiel,” he said, standing up a bit as Ryuuichi blinked at the two of them. Bartiel didn't like any shortenings of his name.

I don't want to lose...but, I should support my friend. Well, it's not like he likes her back, anyways, Ryuuichi said to himself, mildly in denial as Ryuuichi grinned at Lauren. “If you don't wanna call him Bartiel, use his chinese name, Yuan,” he said, as Bartiel glared. “Ryuu! ...Well, I guess if you want to call me Yuan, that's okay,” he said to her, giving her a little bit of a shy smile, rubbing the back of his head softly, looking up at Lauren quietly. His eyes trailed her body for a moment, before focusing on hers'. “Did you want to go now?”

"You don't like Barty?" she asked, a little sullen pout on her lips. Inside she was laughing hysterically. Barty was a ridiculous name. She shrugged, "Well okay. Bartiel it is then," she said with a nod and a smile. She glanced at Ryuu for a moment, calculating. She made a note that she could manipulate him any time, if she needed to. She did a little toss of her head and her blonde hair shook a little.

"Yes, I'd like to go now. If you're not, um, busy." she looked in the direction of her dorm, which was across the green. She clutched her books tightly, as if she was nervous, though she was not at all. She began to walk towards her dorm, knowing that Bartiel would follow her. Laurel did not bother to even say goodbye to Ryuu.

Bartiel shook his head as she said that he didn't like Barty. “No, I don't. Nor do I like Bart or Teal,” he said, Ryuuichi smiling as she looked at him. And then...she sort of ignored him. Ryuuichi only sat there, completely still, as if replaced by an alabaster statue. “C-cold...” he mumbled out, to which Bartiel chuckled just a little bit, rubbing the back of his head. “If she needs an escort to her dorm, she probably isn't feeling too well,” he said. Ryuuichi perked up. “Ah! Then you have to fix her!” Ryuuichi said, to which Bartiel glared.

“I know acupressure techniques, I don't fix people. See you later, Ryuu,” he said, heading over to Lauren, before looking at her with an eyebrow raised. “Are you alright? You totally blew Ryuuichi off...” he said, although his eyes trailed up and down her body lightly as he spoke, before looking straight at her eyes once she looked at him.

Accupressure, that was interesting, Ezthreta thought to herself. Perhaps she could use that. She pretended not to notice Bartiel looking her up and down, but she saw the entire thing. As she walked she swayed her hips a little, though she did it discreetly like she hadn't meant to do it at all.

She shook her head, "Oh no, I'm okay." she smiled at him, never looking back at Ryuu who was watching her leave with Bartiel. She knew that he saw her sway her hips as well, she wanted them both to be as enamored of Laurel as possible. She only wanted Bartiel, but it was always good to have a back up. "Did I?" she asked innocently, "I didn't mean to."

Bartiel raised an eyebrow as he noted Lauren swaing her hips. She as sexier than usual, he could tell that. Glancing at Ryuuichi, he noticed his friend almost drooling over her, but with a shrug he went back to focusing on Lauren. Ryuuichi would be fine. Stepping a bit closer to Lauren, Bartiel shifted his weight slightly.

Bartiel was the quiet type, even down to his steps. As he walked through the green, his steps didn't make noise, his footfalls lighter than raindrops. Upon arriving, Bartiel paused as he looked up at the dorm complex, quietly taking Lauren to her dorm, before looking at her quietly. “You gonna be alright?” he asked, his eyes having some concern in them.
