He frowned softly, feeling a little bad for her. When they entered the village, all noise stopped and all eyes landed on Derek. His scales squirmed anxiously amd he fought the urge to run away.

"We're just so happy you've returned!"
"Never leave us again!" People shouted happily at him and he made a soft noise.
"It's...fine...I have not known such joy when being seen so it's quite startling." He told them.
The room was the largest in the house, with a large stone and a small hotspring coming up through the ground. "This room was yours when you saved my ancestor.. you two used to live together, so the stories say.."
