This was all too easy. Soon enough, she could see the island through the porthole. Dotted with massive turrets, a labyrinthine maze of connecting steel and concrete bunkers.
The ship docked, and once she was on land, he turned to her. "So, a little caveat to your stay here, little vaulter. You have free roam of the island. But, you may never leave."
"This used to be an enclave base. I know your type, you'll talk. Besides, you won't have time to leave since your plate'll be so full with your work." He said, plainly. "So, I can't have the enclave knowing about us. Can't have the brotherhood knowing, not anyone."
"Enclave? Brotherhood?" She hadn't seen either in the whole of her life, just knew they both used power armor and were ruthless when wronged. "I...I can't stay forever.."
She took a step away from him, and then another, before turning and trying to sprint away from him. Where could she go? He knew this whole island like the back of his hand, and she couldn't swim without a biter getting her.
"I-I won't tell anyone...!! I swear...!! Just please...!!" She whimpered. He had no idea why, but having her pinned against him like this made him feel powerful. Greedy.
The others laughed loudly as she bit her lip hard, trying to fight her tears. This isn't what she wanted; out of one fire and into another. "L-Let me go...I won't run..." She muttered.
Dare she risk disregarding such a command? What would he do if she didn't call him that? Only one way to find out. "Where should I start my work, Feng...?"
He shot her a cold gaze. "Maybe work on your fucking manners first. But as real work, you can make yourself useful in the command center. The rangefinders on the shore guns needs some attention."
