She shuddered. "I-I noticed..~" she said. The first night sleeping in their new home was torture.
 
Not just for her. More so for him. He loved holding her, loving smelling her hair and feeling her skin. She could feel his ache when they slept together and it became unbearable. On the day of their wedding, their hands were bound together in a ceremonial ribbon, Derek pledging his undying love and devotion to her, to be there when she needed a friend, and to protect her from any enemy she may face.
 
They held a party in the mead hall, where everyone honored them and sang high praises. Derek sat with Raven, his hand over hers as they ate and drank. But his mind was elsewhere.
 
She had no idea what was going on in his head, she was drinking and enjoying the party, kissing him and telling him how much she loved him.
 
Her kisses and words gave him brief moments of peace before he was tormented by thoughts of breaking their bed with her later.
 
It was worse when she would lean against him, her soft breast pressing against his arm, her heavy breathing causing her chest to heave as she told him she'd drunk too much.
