Your support makes Blue Moon possible (Patreon)I've been hesitant to pitch this RP setting just because of how niche it is, but I suppose nothing ventured means nothing gained. First and foremost, this will not be a NSFW RP. That said, it won't be sunshine and rainbows.
The RP will pick up sometime during the journey to the Trial site, shortly before the caravan is attacked. By dinosaurs, raiders, or some freak accident is to be determined, but the end result will be the members of the Trial escaping from the initial danger and having to get back to Vida. Of course, this won't go smoothly. There are lots of hungry predators, territorial herbivores, and hostile humans between them and the city. And that's not even factoring in if/when the group fights among themselves.
This will be an anime-themed RP, with the primary inspiration being the works of an artist known as Kamemaru; a small selection is attached below. I'm hoping for a group of five to six people. While I will be the GM (though not in the tabletop sense), I will not be taking on the leadership role in the group. I'm hoping roles will emerge as naturally as possible as time goes on.
Would love to hear back from those interested, or perhaps some feedback on the setting.

Outside the walls of Vida, California, is a world filled with lush forests and wetlands, arid deserts, and ruined cities. According to the elders, it used to be a world of technological wonder with nary a patch of green in sight. That changed almost overnight. Nobody is sure of the how or why, but entire patches of land were swallowed up by primal jungles and shallow seas; even entire cities disappeared, only to be replaced by ancient forests and arid deserts. But there was another problem that arose.
It didn't take long for the residents of these anomalies to start foraging out into the surrounding area. Prehistoric insects, amphibians, and reptiles began venturing out, looking for new feeding grounds and territory. And many brought diseases with them. With no immunity to the ancient bacteria, viruses, and parasites, the population of humans began to die off until only small pockets of civilization remained.
But that was decades ago. Vida has remained strong by uniting during harsh times and adapting to new threats. Each year a rite of passage is undertaken by the youths of Vida: spending a month outside of the safety of the city walls. Most return unharmed, sticking together for protection. Sometimes things go wrong. Serious injuries or deaths aren't unheard of, especially when predators are desperate for food.
It's been a lean year with little rain. Starvation and thirst has culled the weak, the sick, and the old in the local herbivores. And the Trial is upon Vida. A group of youths is being escorted to the ruins of a city north of Vida. And soon it will be a matter of life and death...
