What is the banner ratio and is there a place to find banners or do I have to make one myself? I keep trying to upload one but they come up incredibly fuzzy.

There is some information here on this post that could help.
Basically, 1280x218 will get you consistent results across every single device but it will be a thin banner. You can go up to 600px in height but depending on your device and which version of the banner you're viewing, you'll get differently cropped results.
