Lunar w/ Captain_Bond

"That is fortunate that this place of beauty is so well-protected. Lady Omtriss, with your permission, I would like to propose we move on, if Lady Aaris is safe for the time being. You undoubtedly require moonlight to maintain your powers, and we cannot see Luna from this place. If you are concerned about it, the spell my fellow angels and I cast on the moon is for the mortals' reassurance that their Gods are still watching over them, and to provide some of the light and warmth that Lord Helios provided them. It will not change its ability to provide you with your power." He looked at the two Goddesses and smiled at them, waiting for some sort of answer.

"I suppose that your are right, though were we go from here..." She has no idea where to go next, but maybe there is one place. "If we have to leave, then I would like to go at the highest point." She said, the goddess wants to feel the moon since she cannot be at her tower. "The mortals have their light, but I already felt that I have been in here too long. I'm sorry, Aaris, We will have to depart."

"I understand, I have to stay here and give Mana." She said, but wishes them luck.

"I am at your service, my Goddess," he said and conjured his armor once again. "Are you strong enough to lead the way? I do not wish for us to get lost. Lady Aaris. Please accept this blessing from Helios." He pulled an amulet out of his pocket, which glowed with what seemed to be the sun in miniature. "For an extra boost of Helios' own mana when you might need it. Fare thee well." Alex turned to Omtriss, his demeanor of one who was ready to get moving.

Aasris accepts the gift, and it does make her feel better to have something of Helios. "Thank you, and be careful as you travel the world." She bids them well, she was a bit sad, but she understands that they have to leave. Omtriss nods, as she turns to leave the realm and back into the forest. Sighing, she can feel the moon charging her as soon as she is in open air.

"Ah, there..." She breathe in the air, and they are still safe for the time being. "We must go quickly."

"Indeed," Alex said and took Omtriss by the hand, conjured his wings and took off into the sky, flying to their destination at a brisk pace. She did, after all, say they needed to be fast. He looked over and saw her hair whipping in the wind, the look of concentration in her face, the way her magic flowed around her to keep her aloft. The entire effect was beautiful and very attractive, and he found himself thinking more and more about what it would be like to have Omtriss as his lover.

Omtriss is flying in the air as they are heading to their destination, but then she notice something. "Wait, stop for a moment." She ordered as she felt this uncertainty. "Something is wrong...I feel it. The air is making me noxious...like it is on fire." She is finding it hard to breathe, what is the meaning of this? She turns to the west and could see smoke rising from there. "Look, there is even smoke rising from that direction. This sensation is somewhat familiar to me...its horrible."

Alex turned towards the smoke, and frowned inside his helm. "If that phenomenon is the work of Daltarr, then we had best avoid it. We are two. His underlings are many. I suggest we continue to our destination. My fellow Paladins..." He paused for a moment, because he felt their presences all converge on the spot where the smoke came from, and suddenly there was a bright flash of sunlight and the smoke began to dissipate. "It seems they have the matter well in hand. Shall we?"

"...." Omtriss watches as the smoke disappears, but there is still a look of concern on her face as he carries her to the temple. The high mountain temple is below the moon, and she can feel it on her skin, which rejuvenates her. Her skin look like it is sparkling the closer they get. "There it is, I feel better already. The moonlight on top of the Temple will be enough, then there is something else I need to do."

"If this is something I might help with, please let me know, Omtriss." They soared the last few hundred yards or so to the temple and landed lightly in front of the entrance. Shaking out his shoulders and sighing in relief, Alex dismissed his wings and took off his helm. "You look better already, my Goddess," he said. "And your Temple is beautiful. Despite being Helios' man, I've always loved how some plants and flowers bloom more brightly in the moonlight. Owls are faithful creatures, as are wolves. Both are more active at night." He walked over to the door and laid his hand on the wood, getting ready to open it. "Shall we?"

"Hm, such words you weave. Surely you are just saying such things." Omtriss said, the moon is quiet beautiful, but the night is for resting so the humans cannot appreciate it. "The night holds many mysteries and terror within, that is why humans adore the light." She sighs as she nods and the door opens. "Here we are, this temple is shared by both the sun and the moon."

"Then I should do well here. And the night does have many mysteries, but most humans haven't the strength to withstand the terrors in order to uncover them. And of course, the night hides great beauty for those bold enough to seek it," Alex said, his expression driving away any belief that he was "just saying such things." He walked up to her and gently touched her cheek. "The question is, what happens when such a bold soul finds such beauty?"

Omtriss is surprised by his words, but even moreso when he touched her, then step away from him. "Y-You are not at liberty to touch me as yo please. I am a goddess." She turns away as she quickly goes to the atrium of the temple. There is a pool of water that is surrounded by trees and fairy lights that are somewhat moving in the air. The place is empty, and she placed herself into the pool which is waist high. "This pool serves as the seeing eye to locate other deities. Who are the ones on my brother's side?"

Alex was upset about how she rebuffed him, and followed her into the atrium and crossed his arms. "You're a Goddess, so far above us and all that. Figure it out for yourself." He spun on his heel and stalked off, ending up on the other side of the temple and sitting down heavily, wondering how the hell he could ever have fallen for her, or begun to. If it weren't for Helios, he would have spread his wings and left her there completely.

Omtriss sighs, as she looks at the water below. She looks for someone who knows that would be by her brother's side. "Cythior..." She mutters, this is the God of the Gale, a sky deity makes sense. The pool glows for her and shows a vision of the god Cythior, but all she see are dark clouds. "He must be in hiding, at least he is safe for the time being."

Alex continued to avoid Omtriss, walking through the rest of the temple but avoiding the chamber with the pool. Unknown to either of them, the next time Omtriss looked in on another God, she would instead be reminded of the prophecy that foretold her finding a lover that would have been born mortal, been raised up and would be able to be with her and love her through her best times and her worst times.

Omtriss jumps as something is wrong with the water as she tries to find another God, and it suddenly glows beneath her. It spoke to her, but she ignores it as she leaves the pool, and sighs. She doesn't want to hear about this prophecy, and leaves it along for now. She is alone in the room, and she hopes he didn't hear anything from it. She doesn't want anyone to know.

It mattered little whether or not Alex could hear what the voice had said. He was also told long ago that he would encounter a woman of exceptional beauty and power who was afraid to love, and that only he could handle her when she was at her lowest and thus he was destined to be with her. He wondered if this was Omtriss, and he dearly hoped so. Regardless, he kept on exploring the temple, making sure it was clear, then returned to the chamber to tell the Goddess that it was.

"No no...why did that happen?" She paces as she panics at this sudden shift. She shook her head, her brother is most important, there is no time for love. She jumps when the paladin came back and informs her, and she tries to remain calm. "G-Good, then i'll tend to the moon." She quickly left the room and goes to see it still shining, but it turns grey.

Alex followed Omtriss outside. "Helios is safe. But what's happening with the moon?" He had a bad feeling and conjured his full armor. "Isn't it Daltarr's thing to turn things grey like that?" He had one eye on the Goddess, and one on her patron celestial body as he gripped his holy blade with a nervously tight grip.

"O-Oh..." Omtriss hesitates, breathing in and out slowly as the Moon turns back into white. "He doesn't control the moon, I do." She said, thankfully, he didn't know what a grey moon means. "I am...sorry." She hesitates, as she tries to keep it civil between them. "Everything is alright, I was just distracted."

"Distracted by what?" Alex studied Omtriss curiously. He used his magic to change back into his normal clothes. "That is good. What, then, did the grey moon indicate?" He wondered if it had something to do with her mood, her mental state...what she was distracted by, maybe? He took a deep breath and said, "Omtriss, I have a confession to make. Long ago, shortly after I was chosen by Helios to serve him, a prophecy about me was made. In it, it described how I would one day meet a woman of exceptional beauty and power, but who regretted how dark she could possibly become so she was afraid to love. The prophecy went on to say that only I would be able to be with this woman, and handle and tame the darkness within her. The confession part is, I'm starting to believe that it's about you."

Omtriss shook her head. "It is just...I was just worried about my brother, that is all." She corrected him as she doesn't turn to look at him, but she flinched when she heard the prophecy again. "What makes you think that this woman is me?" She said, calming herself to become neutral again.

Alex shrugged. "I am unsure, to be perfectly honest. But I believe that, if the prophecy does concern us, that all will be well in the end." He smiled and laid a gentle hand on her shoulder. "We should return to the pool, so that you may ascertain the status of the other Divines." He removed his hand and turned around and started to walk back inside. Looking back at Omtriss over his shoulder, he said, "Unless you'd rather stay out here for a while. Up to you."

"Its just that, the pool isn't really working at the moment. At the very least I know that the wind God is hiding among the clouds." She sighs, and she looks at the paladin. "I will come inside regardless, and keep the moon in check." Omtriss said as she goes inside, she cannot believe that she changed color. She would have to keep herself in check.

Alex smiled and walked over to Omtriss. "Remember this, my lady. I am here for you, for whatever you may require, or desire. I will neither judge you nor abandon you. You have my solemn word on that." He reached out, offering to take her hand, while stretching the other towards the doors back inside.
